2 Fluffy

'Alright well I think I'm dead cus i can't feel or see anything... but I'm still here I guess?'

In the darkened void of depravity of one's consciousness he still retains his due to being strange in terms of sanity.

'Man I know I have asked for reincarnation ever since i've started watching anime at 14 but I don't think this is how they're supposed to go.'

In the distance of his mind he hears the reverberation of "shut" enter his mind.

'Oh hell no I did not die, just to have my Sergeant haunt my ass in the afterlife let alone in a place devoid of life!'

Kingdom of Quasar, outlying regions in the daemons mountains a tower of purple and black energies strike from the sky to the ground.

King Reginald and Queen Jerricho look towards the blinding tower of magical disruptions from their castle 320 kilometers away.

"Scribe, send word to adventurers to investigate the phenomenon and report their findings immediately." The king gesturing each word with his hands like he was running an orchestra, only to behold seven magical circles of varying sizes showed him a closer image of what was going on.

The scribe runs to send the news while the queen holds the king's arm.

"Is it another Demon Lord's attack? I can gather the Inquisitors to assist with the search."

"Possibly, for now let's wait and see." The king calmy states before watching his magical spyglass shatter in the air leaving both the king and queen baffled.

Daemon mountain's forested region known as the Maw sits a magical circle burned into the earth and trees leaving ashes and husks in the wake, along with a few corpses and a strange fluffy little creature in the middle of it all.

'Sniff sniff, shesh who the hell burned another burger.'

She'd open up her eyes and look around seeing all the burnt landscape within a kilometer radius.

'Jesus, someone really screwed up, i'mma jus-... wait, wasn't i dead a lil bit ago..?'

She attempted to walk forward only using her hind legs to the avail of face planting the dirt which she promptly jumps backwards looking at the sky and seeing her right paw.

'...' She'd swat her right paw left and right looking at each movement to see how fluid it was.

'Ok... reincarnation is an actual thing... AWESOME!'

She'd examine her body and notice it was what she'd remember from researching Kitsune to satiate boredom from time to time. She has a primary black fur around her whole body and a few lines of purple that run from the tip of her two tails to the top of her head after using the reflective surface of a dagger she found on the ground. She also had purple slit irises with the right side of her face covered in a white coat of fur.

'Alright so I've been reincarnated into a kitsune, I've been gender swapped by an unknown entity and I have fluffy tails.' She'd state while snuggling with her tails.

---Five minutes---

'Ok enough of the snuggling... From the amount of destruction around here I'm guessing it caused a bit of commotion so I should get a move on.'

After getting used to the new body and the extra balance of the tails she jogs down the forest at a speed around 40 kilometers an hour.

Around half an hour passed as she went through the forest until she met another animal. It looked like a wolf except it had long white fur over its legs, kind of like a coat for your appendages.

'Hmm, as a human I'd be scared to even get near this thing... However, I'm not human at the moment so I can finally hunt down prey.' A devilish grin comes across, debating many ways how to kill her prey until she accidentally snapped a twig under her foot.

The wolf looks at her direction bearing its teeth while giving off a low growl.

'Well this sucks, then again this could be fu-' In that very moment the wolf was just centimeters from biting her head off, she instinctively rolled to the right while attempting to claw its legs.

Alas the wolf was undamaged and looked back at the weird fox food.

'Of course I don't have claws... this is really gonna suck.' She starts to dash through the bushes to attempt to lose the newly promoted predator while thinking of some kind of plan.

The Maw, at the engraved magical circle where five adventurer parties of six are scanning.

"Well this is a fine mess, any of you got lucky finding something alive?" One of the mages asks towards two other parties.

"Got some footprints coming from the center of this circle going over to the east. Looks like an infant fox of sorts." The ranger states.

"So what, they summoned an infant just to die?" An old wizard looks at the area where the fox snuggled herself on the ground.

"Well it's the only lead we have so lets at least follow through with it." Paladin Fenrir states as he points his sword east.

***

The Maw, 20 kilometers east of the summoning site.

'Screw you!!!' She curses her bad luck as she dodges the wolf's attempt to bite her head off or bash her with its meaty claws.

That was until she met a dead end of a cliff, she turned around and watched the wolf prowling its way towards herself.

'Well it was a good run, at least I got to have a little bit of fun in this world.' She'd expose her neck towards the wolf signifying she gave up.

The wolf pounces for the kill, eager for a quick snack. Until the fox in front of itself blurred and quickly replaced its vision with a blurry red color.

The moment she heard the wolf pounce leaving it exposed in the air unable to move she decided to go for its throat instead, she tore through the esophagus and decided to go further and burrow deep inside its body until she came out the right side breaking a few ribs.

'Damn that was intense... would have been easier if I had clawed your little body!' She'd stare at her paws before grooming the blood off of herself which was surprisingly sweet in taste.

After eating more of its muscle she skins the fur off the wolf and wears it around herself as a sort of cape that keeps you warm.

She decided to find somewhere to rest until she heard a rustling noise in the distance. As she heard it she was also ensnared by some weird vines that grew over herself until she was laying down on the ground slightly getting crushed by the vines.

'Ok, either i somehow managed to piss off mother nature or there's magic in the air... now that i've said that it sounds kind if dumb.' As she mentally face palms herself she sees a few humans with some hunter gear walk forward and an old geezer following suit.

"Looks like we found the creature first, now the question is what are you little one." The old man stared at the eyes of the fox creature in front of him.

'If i could talk i'd kindly ask you to begone but since i'm in this predicament I'll just smile and look cute.' While attempting to smile.

"I don't think that's necessary to do young one, your blood-covered smile would make others think of you as a savage beast." The old man says as if holding a conversation with the fox.

'... So you can read my mind... just when I thought my day couldn't get any weirder...' Her eyes filled with annoyance that privacy may not be a thing in this world.

"It's just a simple spell mages use to communicate with animals for more information." The old man released the vines holding her down. He stretches out his right hand down to her height.

"I am Henrik, a Druid by trade and adventurer at heart even at my old age. What is your name, little one?" The old man may have been looking down at her but his eyes only showed respect.

'Erm... It's Seraph, yea it's Seraph and don't  you forget it!' She remembered this name as part of her gaming alias and it felt natural to use it in this new world rather than her dead name.
