Surprise attack goes wrong

A few moments later, as I got on the main floor of this prison, I met with Ulfred, Taka and Garnet, are looking exhausted and glad that today they will be able to leave this cell. The Leader of this prison, or Boss if you'd like it, he apologize for his behavior towards us and furthermore, he tells us that he will let the house they stayed as a permanent property, but for Ulfred and Taka.

However, Ulfred decided to let that house to Taka since he got two nice houses in two different kingdoms, one in Kingdom of Romania, and the other in Kingdom of Bulgaria. Taka took that property as a gift. Then, we left the prison building, and headed to the exit. As we opened the door, we got greeted by Fiona and a carriage, driven by a normal driver.

"Hello, Judah!" says Fiona to me, and we both shake hands.

"Hello, Fiona! How was the fight in the Kingdom?" I asked her as we are all four of us walking towards the carriage who will deliver us back to the Kingdom.

"Good. But uh... We should talk in private." she tells me looking around where a countless people have gathered, mostly locals and knights of this region to see why there are two carriages, parked in the front of the Prison. And I consider why we should do that.

As soon as we were about to enter our carriage, something falls in top of that carriage. It is somebody that we expected, yet we did not expected to come like this, at this moment, when Fiona is here and a few trained knights who are working for the Kingdom. The thing that has fallen on the top of the carriage, as we were about to enter it, it is Vidraru, the assassin who fled from that Tavern where Taka, Garnet, and I were trying to sell some fruits.

"You fool!" says Vidraru holding his cane. "Do you think you have forgotten about me?! Hahaha!"

I took a look at Fiona, I pointed at Vidraru who was still laughing like crazy. Fiona is taking some distance, she takes the sword with her right arm, and she threw it like it was some kind of spear to Vidraru.

He was about to cast a spell, but Fiona threw her sword, which it cuts Vidraru head, vertically. As I and other knights, with a few peasants who are later running and screaming for help to their homes. The corpse of Vidraru falls from the top of the carriage, on our legs. We are looking at the body of the last retriever, who is now dead for sure because there is no way you would be able to regenerate half of the face and head. There is magic, but there are limits sometimes.

We are looking at the corpse, Fiona kicks slowly the shoulder of Vidraru corpse, and she says for sure to the four of us.

"He is definitely dead."

"Thanks." says Garnet to Fiona.

"You are welcome." says Fiona to the girl Garnet. "And... Are you Garnet?"

"Yes." says Garnet feeling happy. "I am Garnet. Not a Yugara anymore."

"Yes... Your father..." said Fiona, and she looked at me. "He died, so you have no father or mother. Or family."

"Yes, she have." says Taka, which makes everyone from the group surprised. Taka is looking at Garnet, and with a smile she asks her a question I have never expected to hear it from her. "Would you like to become my child? In Bulgaria Kingdom?"

"Y-Y-Yes. T-Taka." says Garnet who couldn't believe what Taka said, and a few seconds later, she cries, in front of her.

Taka hugs Garnet, while Ulfred is looking emotionally at Taka and Garnet, who are now a family. Fiona is heading to the captain to the prison where I and with my three roommates and teammates we were arrested for six days. And I, look at Vidraru corpse. I see the blood dripping from his cut head. I took a look around me, only to see the knights, standing there, and doing nothing, waiting for an order to be delivered to them.

A few moments later, we all get into the carriage. Ulfred, Fiona and I are getting into the first carriage, while Taka, Garnet, and two more knights, who came here as an "escort" are sitting on the second carriage. As the carriages took the road which leads us to a few small villages and Capital, I take a look outside, seeing the sky, having a magnificent blue color and lots of clouds, moving slowly up there.

"You've done it?" asks Ulfred when we left Bran Village on the carriage.

"Yes." says Fiona, then she takes a look at me, then she looks at Ulfred, who begins to talk. "I see you had problems there."

"Yeah. We've had it." says Ulfred to Fiona. "But all four of us, managed to overcome the problems."

"I see." says Fiona. "And what were the problems?" she looks at me this time.

"Some assassin coming after us, and after Garnet. But we did kill all of them." I tell her that, but then I realize we've let that one assassin leave us alone because Ulfred beat him into a fist fight.

"I see. Good job all four of you." says Fiona to us. "Looks like you all had a hard time on that Village."

"Were the things bad there?" I ask Fiona.

"It was hard, Especially to contain the peasants into the Capital."

We proceed to talk further more about the Capital and the things were going on there. I find out that Fiona and with other knights even managed to defeat a thing so-called Demon. I have heard about these things, but only on the stories and fairy tales from the book I have read. The demons are mostly characterized as humans, but with red skin, some even having goat aspect on them or in some case humanoids aspects, they also carry weapons with them such as pitchforks or only huge forks. Fiona told us that the demon he fought with the knights was carrying a giant fork. And it was hard to defeat him because their weapons weren't able to do any damage on it.

"You used normal weapons on these things?" asks Ulfred to Fiona.

"Yeah. I used my sword on these things." she says pointing at the huge sword who is on her back, and it didn't bother her or any of us, because we all have accepted it.

"That sword is good, but on demons. You need a whole different weapon." says Ulfred to Fiona. "I don't know much about those weapons, I only heard fables from Bulgaria Kingdom, where thousands of soldiers used weapons, made by the Gods himself to destroy those creatures called Demons."

"Where are those weapons?"

"Only Gods knows." says Ulfred feeling sad he doesn't know the location of those weapons. "I also tried to search for them, but to avail, these things cannot be found that easily after all the search I have made a few years ago. And I was only doing that because I had free days from my Knight shift."

"I understand." says Fiona to Ulfred feeling sad. "We have got to find those weapons, quick. Before a demon would get back on this Earth."

"Maybe the Leader of the Guild would be able to help us." I propose to these two.

"The kid might be right." says Ulfred to me, and he looks at Fiona. "How are the things in the guild?"

"Things are going good." responds Fiona with a smile. "The Leader has even prepared a big pay for all four of you."

"Cool." says Ulfred.

"Nice." I said, and then I slapped a head with Ulfred and then to Fiona. "Now, what?"

"Tomorrow, Judah." says Fiona approaching me. "We will go and help in construction."

"What are we going to build?"

"A new expansion to the Royal Palace. A building for the young mages and wizards, just like you. You will be going to school in the next months, so prepare yourself for four years of intensive training."

"Really?" I asked Fiona feeling unsure. "B-But why? Why I have to go to school and do training?"

"It is a new things mages and wizards has to do. And it was approved by King himself. Whatever you like it or not, you have to do it if you want to keep up your post."

"I see." I say to Fiona.

On the rest of the road, we continued to talk about the various events that has happened while all of us were gone into Bran Village.
