A visit to the old place: Rooms

A few minutes later, outside the house, the kids have stopped hugging, and the nuns have also stopped hugging and they are whipping their tears because I don't know how did they got the information that I was in "war", which it was not even a war, more like a battle for territory and also. later I heard this part has become free from the reign they had endured for thousands of years.

"Judah." says a little girl to me while the other members of the Orphanage are around me and forming a big circle. "It is true you were in battle with an enemy?"

"It is true," I say to the little girl while I bend down to talk to her. "I was fighting against some enemies and I even meet my family there."

"You have met your family?!" asks a few shocked kids who knew I was without parents.

"Yeah. But they couldn't take me because they were in another war at that time, and then they jumped into another battle, but this time, into the Mountains of Ice." I told them the stories my aunt and uncle told me at a bonfire on day three of staying in the bunker to capture enemies which are venturing on my Kingdom territory.

And after I told them that, some of them started to feel sad, but I didn't catch the reason they are, but I think it is because I have found my family and they didn't. But then, the same little girl looks at me and says the reason why they, are sad and this one made me tear up a bit.

"You had a difficult childhood, Judah."

"Yes... We all have." I say to the young girl and then I and the rest of the kids together with a few nuns are entering the Orphanage building.

When I entered the building I have felt like I wasn't here for a few years, which it was just almost four months since I left the Orphanage and started my life as a squire. When we entered the Orphanage, I walk across the hallways with a few kids, while other and the nuns are going into the kitchen to prepare the Lunch, which will happen in a few minutes. That fight with Ron has taken a while because after we left, he regains and consciousness and runs to me while he was muttered bad language and wishing to see me dead. I also think would be a good idea not to mention these kids Ron, or mostly to the girls.

While I was walking together with five kids Yary, Larry, Ginger, Harry and Olive, to the Bedrooms floor, I saw a few rooms opened which has started to open me some memories, about how some kids, including me, used to go into the other rooms, mostly at girls, laughing about funny stories, teaching small kids to read novels and playing games like Rock, Paper and Scissors, or Hide-N-Seek. I even remember my first game, me and the other four kids were playing in someone room, only in the room. The kids were Judy ( a blonde girl with pig-tails which is now twelve and I remember she told us before she was bout to leave, that she will go and work at a Tavern in Arges, I hope she is doing fine ), Gio ( a kid which is now thirteen years old and I saw him working as a squire to an archer in Arges, and I know that thanks to Diana, which has told me one time she saw a kid from the Orphanage I was working to an archer which his family is owing to a Fur Market close to the borders of real-world and ghost world), Tinna (a girl which is still at Orphanage because she is three years younger than me) and Harold ( the only kid at the Orphanage who has died three weeks later that day because of a disease called Cancer and not even the healing spells of my nuns couldn't cure him).

All five of us have scattered around, while Tinna was counting, with the face at the wall and keeping her eyes closed to not see us where are we hiding. But I, forgetting about the rule that shows, we have to play in the room, I hide outside the room, on the basement and I stayed there, for a couple of hours, until a Nun came, she saw me hiding in the boxes and asked me what I was doing here, and I told her.

"I am playing Hide-n-Seek with Tiana."

"Aha. And... Did she come here?" asks the nun

"No." I respond to the old nun.

"Then maybe it is time to leave and search another or give up."

"Why give up?"

"Because the dinner it is almost ready." says the nun who is taking a few apples from another box, she put it in her basket and left the basement while I was in shock that the dinner time has come and Tiana haven't found me.

At the dinner, the atmosphere was kinda hard, for me and also for her. But the one who has to be blamed it is I because I ignored the rule which it says that I have to hide somewhere in the room and to be honest, I would've been caught faster because the rooms are tiny and it doesnt have enough space for five children's who are playing hide-n-seek. And on that day, I started to listen more carefully to the rules.

---

I entered a room together with other five kids and I recognized the room. That room was mine, Larry, Harry and Olive, and now, it belongs to those three and two new kids, Yary and Ginger. I looked at the bed which I laid down and sleep nights and sometimes afternoons, I saw the small wardrobe where I had my light and winter clothes put it, I walk across the room and I can feel the old and damaged floor squeaking. I decided to stay in one of the chairs in that room and look at the five kids there, staying in front of me, then sitting on the floor and looking in my eyes with those innocent eyes.

"Have you had fun working?" asks Olive who seems excited because on a few days he will be ten years old and he will start going my squire path, the one I have chosen.

"Did you meet a noble?" asks Ginger.

"Have you fought a dragon?" asks Larry.

"Did you marry a woman?" asks Olive again.

And then, the questions continued to come. I responded to a few of them, and I even told them how I got my spellbook. One of them, which was Harry, got excited when I told him I got that small spellbook from a building which has sold me cheap, and he asked me.

"Can you show me where is that building?"

And instead of responding to him, I took the small spellbook from my backpack, and handed to him and told him.

"This was my first spellbook, and now, I got a new one from someone dear to my family. Now, I do not need this spellbook anymore, but you... You might need it."

Harry has started to cry when he got in his hands an actual spellbook. He thanked me, and he started to search the spellbook, to see if he can find a spell, and when he finds one, he started to say it, but nothing happened. I told him, that a spell can be activated if you use a wand, and then he says to me.

"I see." and he seemed awkward but he accepted the gift.

"Judah, have you met Nathalia?" asks Ginger. "I heard she got adopted by a noble family."

"Yes. And I have met her, but that was a few months ago."

"An, she was fine?"

"Yeah, I think. I saw her at Church, while I was finding a Tavern to sleep for tonight because back then I was trying to find a knight to work as an apprentice. "

"Have you seen her since then?"

"No. But I do think she is doing fine."

These little kids are around me and start to ask me questions, about the adventures I got, the knight I work for, where I live, simple questions and I am answering like I am some sort of a traveller after he left his natal Kingdom from a long time.

A few minutes later, one of the kids entered the room, saw us and told us the diner it is ready. And all seven of us are leaving the room and heading to the dining room, where we are going to eat the dinner nuns and some good kids in the kitchen have prepared for the entire Orphanage. When we arrived there, I saw twelve kids, sitting at a big table and the nuns bringing the food to the tables. One of them saw me, they welcomed me and asks me where I'd like to sit. So, I take one of the sits, next to Olive, which seemed shy after I sit next to her for some reason, but two other girls from the other side, were giggling, and I didn't cathected the reason they are doing that.
