12 Dealing with Voldemort

June 1994

4 Privet Drive

The three brothers walked towards the small stone hut. Harry felt a nauseous feeling coming from the hut and this was the source all the darkness, evilness and foulness that Harry was felling.

The three brothers surrounded the hut and formed a triangle around it with the stone hut in the centre of the triangle and the three brothers standing at the three corners of the triangle.

After taking their positions the brothers started to move their hands and draw 'weird' symbols using their fingers, which Harry had no idea what they were about. The blue fog in Harry's mindscape indicating his magic, started to dance around the fingertips of the three brothers.

After few moments a complex figure was drawn in front of the brothers. Although harry had no idea what they were he could guess that they were some kinds of runes. The three brothers glanced at each other and with a subtle nod pressed their palm forward gently pushing the rune towards the stone hut.

The runes collided with the stone hut and in front of the astonished eyes of Harry the stone hut crumbled into dust. The moment the stone hut disappeared; a suffocating aura spread from the hut. The darkness and the foulness which was contained within the hut stormed hut, drowning Harry in itself. Though the three Peverell brothers looked unfazed by the sudden change in the environment, Harry shivered in suffocation of the darkness.

Gathering his courage Harry stared towards where the stone hut previously stood and his fear once again alleviated and he staggered few steps behind.

In the centre of the triangle formed by the three Peverell brothers stood a nose less dark wraith. Other than his missing nose Harry could make nothing of the man's facial feature and it required no genius to identify the wraith soul. Harry felt disgusted and fear at the same time.

Though Harry had already faced Voldemort 2 times and 3 if you include his encounter as toddler, he could not say that he was fearless.

The wraith let out an unnatural scream and started to speak, "Harry… Potter…. Have you come to offer me your soul? And tell me how did you trapped in the hut… did Dumbledore teach you these few techniques? But you did a mistake… you should have not released me… you cannot defeat me…. I am a master of mind arts… its my speciality…. first time you caught me off guard but not now… soon I will possess the body of the hero of the wizarding world… hahaaha…"

Voldemort in his dramatic monologue did notice the three old men standing around him.

Antioch scoffed, "You are so full of yourself considering when you are not even a complete soul but a mere broken piece of already insane soul."

Cadmus added, "But it not a surprise. After all the foul ritual you did would definitely turn you insane and I assume that you were not sane even before the ritual."

Only after the mockery of the two brothers did Voldemort noticed the presence of three additional people near him.

He raged, "Who are the three of you? And how do you know of the ritual and how dare you taunt me….. taunt Lord Voldemort."

Ignotus chuckled, "A great lord you are Voldemort, crushed by a fifteen month baby. And let me tell you one more thing." 

He laughed then continued, "Harry have already defeated you two more times when your original soul wraith tried to resurrect you."

Before Voldemort could rage further Ignotus again taunted, "And one of your horcrux, the diary has already been described Tom Marvolo Riddle." Completing his sentence Ignotus laughed almost childishly and then manically.

Voldemort screeched in anger. He screamed, "I will reduce you to pieces and then take over Potter's body."

With this Voldemort waved his hand and a red beam shot towards Ignotus.

Ignotus scoffed, "You are a mere child to us, Voldemort. Your tricks are what we used to play as children." With this he waved his hand and a dome formed all around Voldemort with the three brothers forming its axis.

Antioch thundered, "Enough of the nonsense. Don't waste time."

With his statement the three brothers nodded at each other and then before Voldemort could rage further, each of them poked a finger on the dome. Runes after runes started to appear on the dome and just like the stone hut the soul wraith of Voldemort started to crumble into dust.

Voldemort let out a final screech, "Noooooooo" before he completely disappeared.

Harry finally felt a relief washing over his mind and he was starting to run towards the Peverell brothers when the three of them turned towards him and muttered at the same time, "All the best Harry and be happy."

With their final parting words, the three brothers also started to crumble into nothingness and ultimately disappeared.

Harry let go over his controlled emotions and tears started to run from his eyes. Though from the very beginning, Harry knew that that the three of them would be leaving him soon, he felt an enormous loss at their disappearance and felt a huge emptiness surrounding him.

Lost in his grief and loss, Harry tried to take control over his emotions when there was a sudden quake in his mindscape. Abrupt change started to occur in his mindscape. Some of mountains started to grow bigger while some of them collapsed. The forest started to grow wild while some trees completely dried down.

Harry tried to take control over his mindscape and stop these abrupt changes when fatigue washed over his mind and darkness consumed him and he collapsed.
