44 [Talent System]
Like any day before, the process of light and dark intertwine and at the end of the first cycle the light prevails, and a new day dawned. The morning rays shone upon the land and with it brought warmth and joy.
As for the members of the House of Snow, they were all up and ready, busy with their tasks for the day and ensuring the House ran smoothly and effectively.
Eldric had accompanied his swaybacked horse in the cavern, feeding and grooming it. The horse was the finest horse he had ever seen, and it brought him great joy knowing such the beauty of a beast was his.
While he was silently grooming the horse, an echo sounded in his mind. He opened the system window and what he saw made him realize that time flies.

It was a simple few notifications. Nothing extraordinary but nonetheless it still gave Eldric a slight sense of joy and anticipation. He saw the plus sign next to the [Talent System] and tapped on it.
A detailed description appeared before Eldric, [Talent System: The 'administrative system'. It would show the talent of any person, capable of extracting the fullest potential of a person.]
The description sounded vague, and Eldric was unsure about what it meant, the only thing that he could think of was to see the people in the [Population] tab and see if anything changed.
He navigated towards the tab and chose one of his trusty companions, Caspian, as his first subject. An interface appeared before his eyes.

Eldric saw an immediate difference in the window. A new column appeared, [Talent], he tapped on it and the related information displayed itself before him.
[Talent: This can be used to display the person's best-suited profession and how good they would be in that profession. The number at the back gives an indication of how good he would be in that profession. The lower the number the worse of a talent he was in that profession, the higher the number the better he would be.]
After reading the corresponding information, realization dawned upon Eldric. A while back he had noticed that certain people got less experience in certain regards and struggled to advance in strength. Now after seeing this information, he made a speculation.
'Maybe it was because they are not suited to being knights?' he pondered, 'We will just have to find out now won't we' he said to himself.
Without hesitation, he immediately summoned the system interfaces of all five Squires (Tier 2).

He carefully looked through each one of them and for the most part, was not surprised. He realized that even with the talent limit it displayed, it had in no way a direct influence on where his journey would end. He would only be slower than most with grades of 8 and higher.
Solen had the same ranking, 7 while Evander and Cael both had 6. The one who surprised him the most was Lachlan who had a talent ranking of 8, which was very strong.
At first, Eldric did not understand how the talent system worked if the knights could simply kill and gain exp to level up but after a few questions, the system replied.
The reply the system gave him was that the knights had no limits but due to their talent ranking the speed at which they advanced would be slower. This means that if both Lachlan and Garen killed a Dire Novice (Tier 2) Stoneback Black Bear, Lachlan would get more exp than Garen would thanks to Lachlan's talent rank being one higher than Garen.
With that said and done, Eldric concluded his research on the topic and soon he chose to look through each person in his territory. The knights already had the knight profession, some good and some bad, while Eldric looked through the rest of the House members, he had found a few interesting and different members with different talents.
Out of all the 30 remaining members, only 4 had the ability to become a knight. The remaining 26 had different talents, of those 26 members 10 had farmer as their talent, 5 had healer as their talent, Eldric had even found that 3 merchant talents and 3 chef talents were lurking in the group.
That being said it was quite a surprise but none of the above gave Eldric as much excitement as the following five members.

Eldric was at first confused about the talent called administrative, but he soon realized that the talent meant he could do the housework and planning and oversee the whole house, like a butler. At this point in time Eldric welcomed with open arms as he was starting to struggle with certain areas of work. Meanwhile, the other four members gave him a joyful smile as he read their information.

With them having the talent of a tamer it meant that the Dire Beasts in the enclosures would soon be tamed and could be used more frequently. The only thing he now needed was manuals for how to tame the beasts.
And lastly, another two members who brought joy to him were Ronan and Atlas, who had the profession of blacksmiths. He could have Caspian guide them and nurture them. In the near future, the House of Snow would have more blacksmiths to rely upon.
