9 After the Speech

As time went on the sound of the cheering soldiers went silent, but what followed afterwards was not total silence it was as loud as the previous cheers of

the soldiers. It was the sound of thousands soldiers walking around to execute their orders so that they can swiftly finnish them.

Meanwhile Marie and the rest of her group went to the small office to get assigned to a new division and a new commander.

Before they could even enter the office there was a long line of people waiting outside just go to get inside the building, let alone get assigned a new divison. With that Marie concluded that the rebels did a good job of killing many valuable commanding officers from the division all around the city.

Because Marie has experienced many situations like this in the past few days, was the time relatively fast to come by. If one would have a look at a watch they could have easily spotted that Marie and the other waited over 5 hours to get inside the office and get assigned a new division.

The procedure to get assigned to a new division was easy because a small division was usually around 5 person big and a medium sized division thus 10 people, gave the high ranking officer the order to establish the so called Notstand-Division. The Notstand-Division was around 30 people big so with a single look anybody could tell that the commanding officer for the division had quite the heavy workload prepared for them.

But seen from a logistical point of view was this way of sorting the troops very efficient. They could place a large array of soldiers into one division thus needing less commanding officers to lead them and they would need less divisions for some of the operations that would later be organized by the military personal. Another positive point of this structure is that the rebels may be tricked to think that the Royal Army may have less troops available because the number of divisions is smaller then when they had placed all of them into smaller divisions.

Maries new division was called the Pixy. Why it was called this even Wolfgang nor Reinhart had no clue whatsoever why it was called like this, but sooner then latter they would find out why it was called like this. Marie couldn´t even meet her new commanding officer yet because he was currently occupied by organizing the march to Leuchtringen with the other high ranking personal in the military outpost.

Later the day a important message was posted in the center of the outpost to inform every soldiers that they would soon depart. The time for the departure was the next day at 4am. After Marie heard this she was quite shocked to say at least because as she informed herself of the time she saw that it was already 9pm and so she quickly finished her work so that she could sleep as long as possible.
