"What are the other options?" Hope asked again.

"I think no one is going to like that," Mr. Saltzman said.

"Can someone tell me what the hell is going on?" Hope demanded.

"Eric thinks that he has to consume human blood when he is hungry," Mr. Saltzman explained.

"Oh, and he can't consume other things, including animal blood. I now can see why that would be a huge problem," Hope realized.

"Yep, now you understand, And for the other option, I really can't even think about it, so we will deal with that if human blood is a no go as well," Eric answered, and then continued "So, do you have any human blood available or not?"

"Yes, we have a stash of several bags of human available in the school in case of an emergency situation like somebody losing control, or the emergence of a newborn vampire,"

"Great, so can you bring me a bag, please," Eric asked Mr. Saltzman.

"Yeah, I will go and fetch one, you stay here with Hope," Mr. Saltzman said and quickly left the kitchen.

"Is the other option, what I think it is?" Hope asked.

"Let's not talk about that," Eric said.

"So how long, have you and Landon been dating?" Eric asked as he changed the subject of the conversation.

"Dating?! No, it is not like that, I have known him for years, we are just friends," Hope answered.

"Yeah, yeah, like hell I would believe that," Eric answered.

"I don't need you to believe that, but we are not dating," Hope said with a little bit of anger.

"Okay, no need to get defensive about it. You clearly have feelings for him and care about him, so why not?" Eric asked.

"Long story short, it is complicated, plus I am a supernatural being and he is a normal human, it won't going to end well for that kind of relationship," Hope explained.

"Normal human!? Landon? I don't think he is a normal human," Eric said.

"What are you talking about? Of course, he is a normal human, why would you say that?" Hope asked.

"Didn't I tell you that my senses are pretty sharp?" Eric questioned.

"Yes, I remember, but how can you tell he is not a normal human?" Hope asked with suspicion.

"Okay, let me explain. I know that the hunter we encountered in the woods was a normal human, he smelled kind of similar to Mr. Saltzman, and from what I have seen and heard, he is also a normal human, their smell was different but similar enough to be categorized with each other,"

"Scott, the boy from earlier was a werewolf, and I smelt similar smells in the school so far. There are other smells as well, that are vampires, and witches. Your smell is also an amalgamation of a few different smells,"

"But Landon's was different enough to not be able to categorize with the smell of Mr. Saltzman and the dead hunter, and also unique because I haven't smelt anyone else like him," Eric explained.

"Thanks for sharing, I will talk to Mr. Saltzman about this," Hope said with a small amount of enthusiasm.

"No problem," Eric said and then they both stayed silent.

"By the way are you aware that there is a huge hole in the back of your t shirt?" Hope suddenly asked with a smile.

"I think I was there when that happened," Eric Jokingly answered.

As they were talking, Mr. Saltzman suddenly returned with a blood bag in his hands.

"Here you go, try it," Mr. Saltzman said as he gave the blood bag to Eric.

"Okay," Eric answered.

Eric opened the blood bag and took a small gulp out of its content. This time he didn't almost puke and was able to drink the blood easily.

"Finally, it works," Eric said.

After hearing this both Hope and Mr. Saltzman heaved a sigh of relief.

"Thank god, otherwise we would have been in a really hard place," Mr. Saltzman said and Hope nodded her head in approval.

"Yeah," Eric answered.

'I was able to drink blood with no problem, but I think there is something wrong, but let's not mention it to them,' Eric thought as he looked at Mr. Saltzman, and Hope.

"So, are we done right now?" Eric asked.

"Not quite, there are a couple of things, first of all, we want some of your blood sample to give to the witches, for your ancestry. Also, I might require you to show your other form to someone else as well," Mr. Saltzman said.

"Okay, but let me finish this first, it will go bad now that we have opened it," Eric said as he shook the blood bag in the air.

"Sure," Mr. Saltzman answered.

After hearing this Eric drank the whole content of the blood bag, and he surprisingly felt a little different, he felt a little bit stronger than before.

"So, now let's get a blood sample, I have brought a needle for that matter," Mr. Saltzman said.

"Okay, let's do it," Eric answered.

Hope took the syringe from Mr. Saltzman and tried to inject it into Eric's arm. She was unable to inject it into Eric's arm on the first try. She exerted more strength on the syringe, and it bent heavily and was finally able to enter Eric's arm.

"That was more difficult than I thought it would be," Hope said, and took Eric's blood which looked normal.

"That is done as well, I will take it to the witches so we can do an ancestry spell on it, also Mr. Saltzman Eric said something crucial, about Landon, and I really think we should talk about that," Hope said.

"Okay, we will talk about that later," Mr. Saltzman answered.

"See you later," Hope said, and both Eric and Mr. Saltzman both nodded at her.

"So, what did you say to her about Landon," Mr. Saltzman asked.

"I told her that Landon is not a human," Eric answered.

"What?! How?!" Mr. Saltzman said in puzzelment.

Eric pointed towards his nose.

"Smell? How were you able to discern that?" Mr. Saltzman asked.

"You are going to see her later, she will explain. I am really tired can we get this done quickly so I can go and get some rest?" Eric asked.

"Yeah, my bad, I completely forgot that you were tired. So let's go and meet Dorian, you show him your form, and then we are done for the day," Mr. Saltzman said, and they left the kitchen for the library.

When they arrived at the library, Eric saw an African American middle aged man with a

Buzzcut and some facial hair.

"Eric this is Dorian, our librarian, and resident expert, Dorian this is Eric, the new student that I talked about," Mr. Saltzman introduced both of them to each other.

"Nice to meet you," Both Eric and Dorian said to each other as they shook hands.

"So, should we go outside?" Dorian asked.

"Yeah, let's go outside," Mr. Saltzman said.

After arriving outside Mr. Saltzman asked Eric to show him his transformation.

"Alright," Eric said, and then his tentacle like appendages came out from the hole on the back of his t shirt, and his left eye turned black with a red pupil.

Dorian was also shocked when he saw Eric's transformation and said "Oookay, that was certainly not what I expected to see. I don't have a clue about what you are, but I am going the search through books and archives to find out, and Rick, can I talk to you for a second?"

"Of course," Mr. Saltzman answered.

"So can I go now and rest?" Eric asked impatiently.

"Yeah, you are free to go," Mr. Saltzman said.

"Great, so see you guys later, bye for now," Eric said this and quickly went towards the school building.
