14 Ch.14 Jesus take the wheel Pt. 1

A few days have now passed and some new things have happened. Well, for starters Josie and I have started dating. Not that many people know about it except for the friend group.

Secondly, Hope and Landon are still butting heads with each other. They give a very awkward feeling to many people around them.

Thirdly Hope has now started to sit with us at the table and in classes, she also shares how she feels and stuff with me which is nice. I too share some stuff with her.

I woke up early did my useless morning exercise. At this point I just do it for a change of scenery I guess because I do not sweat, none of the weights is heavy enough for me.

I went to get breakfast, I saw Josie, Lizzie, Ralf, Landon and Hope there. I sat down with my breakfast, I sat next to Josie and she asked "How was your exercise?"

I said "Ehh. I mean I can't sweat, none of the weights is heavy enough for me. At this point, I just do it for the change of scenery."

Landon said, "I wish I had some powers like that."

I said, "Aww, don't feel bad about it buddy, but according to my hypothesis you might either need to kill or be killed to gain your power so..."

Josie looked at me and I said "I shouldn't have said that right?" She nodded and I said, "I am sorry Landon."

Lizzie asked, "You are still having nightmares?" At this point, everyone in the group knew about my nightmares. I was pretty open about them.

I said, "Yeah but the somewhat good thing is that I am somehow getting used to it."

Hope asked, "Do you need to see someone?"

I asked, "Like who?."

Hope looked annoyed and said, "I mean Emma maybe she will be able to help you."

I said, "So you need to say that Miss Emma can help me get rid of my dreams?"

Lizzie said, "Well, she can help you with medication and if you talk to them you might feel better."

I smiled and said, "Yeah I don't think that medicine will help, I don't get drunk even if I drink 7 bottles of bourbon, at 8 I get a bit tipsy and at 11 I get a good buzz and at 15 a good blackout."

Everyone looked surprised and mortified and Hope said "But you said that the most you drank were 6 bottles or something?" everyone then looked at Hope like 'how do you know that?'

I said, "Yes, but this was a recent discovery I made when I was on vacation."

Ralf laughed and asked, "What made you drink like that?"

I said "Hayley." They then nodded and said "Ohhh."

Then Landon asked, "Who is Hayley?" He wasn't there when we first discussed Hayley.

Josie said "His sort of ex who betrayed him. Please don't ask any more follow up questions about this topic."

Ralf then said, "Hey did you know that Prof. Saltzman threw the artefact into the water?"

I said, "When did he do that?"

Hope said, "The night when you got back."

I asked, "What was the monster this time I have asked Josie but she didn't tell me."

Everyone then looked at Josie with a smile and I said "Oh, come please tell me no one has told me anything."

Lizzie then told me everything and I said "Damit I missed Hope and Josie acting like the mean girls. And the more surprising thing is Hope likes unicorns."

Hope said, "Bite me!"

We then went to classes after the third period Prof. Saltzman summoned me to his office. We were in the Library studying, I looked at Josie and she looked worried, She asked "Do you think he knows?"

I said, "He found Landon with no clues, the guy is an expert hunter so I suppose yes."

She asked, "Do you want me to come with you?"

I said "No, this is something that I should do alone. I did those things, I should be man enough to accept what I did." I took my books and stood up.

She then stood up and kissed me on the lips and hugged me and I went to the office.

(In the principles office)

I entered the office and he was not looking all that pleased. he said "Have a seat, Lucas. And do me a favour and hold this." He then tossed me a crystal ball.

I caught the ball and sat down he then said "I am very disappointed in you"

I was feeling somehow bad and it was not because I had killed those people it was because Prof. Saltzman was disappointed I didn't know that I saw him as a father figure.

I said, "I am supposed to say that I am sorry but I am not sorry." the ball glowed blue he then looked at it and was a bit angry.

He stood up and said, "That is worst!... Look Lucas I know you are a good kid and you have helped us a lot but killing people is a bad thing."

I said "I know that and I don't want to kill people. I just killed them because they killed me and my mother. I am not psychotic to go around and start killing people." The ball glowed blue again and he looked at it.

He was surprised and I gasped and said "You did not think that I did that for fun did you? and this is a lie detector isn't it?" I then gave him the ball. He caught it and I said, "Say did you think that I offed those people for fun?"

He said weakly, "No I didn't." the ball glowed red.

I said, "It doesn't look like it from that tone of yours." I then took the ball back and said "And let me make this clear I may be a demonish creature but I don't enjoy taking lives. I did what I did for revenge." the ball glowed blue again.

He then walked up close to me and said "Look I know that anything I say to relate to you will not work but I want to say something to you from my personal experience, revenge will never bring you peace."

I said, "I know that professor I knew that from the start but if I didn't get it I would never be able to forgive myself for letting them go." The ball glowed blue, I then looked at him and said "Look I know that I said that the revenge was for my mother and me.

But I know that my mother wouldn't have wanted this, otherwise, how can an ancient witch be taken by those morons. I know that she might not have wanted me to do this and the Necromancer also pointed that out as well." The ball glowed blue.

I sighed and said, "The revenge was meant for me, I hated how Hayley betrayed me, I hated how she tricked me and I hated how she helped Mathews in killing my mother." The ball glowed blue.

He said, "That is good Lucas, you have started to accept what you did was for you and not for someone else."

I then stood up and said, "I am telling you this now, Prof. I will never do what I did to them." The ball glowed blue. He then hugged me. And I can honestly say it felt good.

Josie then busted into the room and said "You can't expel him he did that for... " She stopped when she saw that we were hugging and she was confused and she asked, "What is happening?"

We then let go and Prof. said "Nothing just reconciling."

I said, "He was forgiving me for what I did."

She said "Really?"

I said, "Yeah, he made me hold this crystal and asked some questions and found that I don't really like killing and that this was like a one-time thing."

She then came towards me and said "Oh, that is so great." she then kissed me.

Prof was surprised and said "When did this happen? and not in front of me."

I said "When I got back from my trip. I told her the truth and she accepted me for who and what I was."

He then came toward us and separated us and asked "So does she know?"

She said, "That he is some sort of a demon creature?"

He then sighed and said "Perfect." He then sat down and I asked "Can we go now?"

He said, "No I still have something I want."

I asked, "Like what?"

He said, "You two are coming on a road trip with us."

Josie said, "But you said that I could stay."

He said, "Yes, and that was before I knew that you had a boyfriend."

Josie said, "But dad we had plans."

He said "And that is exactly what I am worried about. So both of you to the trip tomorrow."

I asked, "You are not going to ask trivia questions on this trip right?"

He said "No."

I sighed and said, "Thank god, otherwise I would have died."

Josie then dragged me away, which was cute because I let her. It was so fun watching her be mad, her ears would twitch now and then from anger, it was super cute.

We then went to the library because there were no more classes today. We then sat on the corner table and she said "This is not fair."

She looked super cute and she said "stop looking at me like that. We were about to spend some quality time together and now we are stuck with them."

I said, "If I am with you, I don't care where I am."

She then smiled and said, "God you are soo sickeningly sweet."

And it was now decided that we are going on a road trip.

I hope you liked the chapter. I would like to say that Lucas and Josie are in a relationship but Lucas and Hope have this weird connection that attracts Hope to Lucas so moving forward there will be a weird relation between the three of them.
