4 Not a Guest

After Kian gave the statement according to their deal, Elian took him to the hospital. Elian knew that some paparazzi might have followed them there. As Kian went inside, all three alphas waited in the car.

"Why do I have to keep him in my house? I can just put him in a condo or something.", Elian asked frustratingly. "It's too risky dude. What if these paparazzi people find out? What if your brother asks about him? What if the media goes to find him and he gives some statement contradicting the story we just made up?", Tristan replied with a weary tone. "Uhh! Why is my life so messed up?", Elian said leaning his head against the seat. "Chill dude. Just keep him for a few weeks. When people are gonna forget you can get rid of him.", Declan said.

"What were you in middle of?", Declan turned to Tristan, "What?", Tristan asked. "You said you were in the middle of something important but you still came. What were you in middle of?", Declan asked teasingly. "Sex", Tristan replied making the other two chuckle. "You know, if I ever hooked up with as many people as you do, the media will roast me alive", Elian said. "Well, there are certain advantages of not being too wealthy and too handsome."

Kian came back with a plaster cast around his upper left arm and sat inside the car without uttering a single word. Elian dropped off both of his friends at their respective residences and drove back to his house with Kian who was sitting on the back seat. It was a quiet drive. Elian occasionally looked at Kian through the rearview mirror who was sitting somewhat uncomfortably despite the car being luxurious and warm. The reason was, it had been long since Kian ever sat inside a car. The last time he sat in one was when his father left him at the orphanage. It was beyond him to comprehend such a level of luxury. However, even though the silence between them was a sign of their resentment towards one another, neither of the two felt it was awkward.

A giant metal gate slid across to let the car inside. As the two got out of the car, Kian's eyes widened in awe looking at the mansion in front of him. "How many people even live here?", he involuntarily asked out loud. "Just me and a few servants", Elian replied. Kian came back to his senses listening to the answer. "It's a good thing this house is big. We won't have to see each other while you're here", Elian replied and walked towards the door. Although Kian agreed with him he didn't say anything in reply.

As soon as they stepped inside the mansion they were greeted by a middle-aged woman. Through her attitude, Kian immediately figured that she was the housemaid. Elian took off his coat, handed it to her, and without saying a single word went upstairs to his bedroom as if he had forgotten that he brought someone home with him.

Both the maid and Kian looked at each other, confused. The maid was used to Elian bringing guests at night. However, looking at Kian who was wearing a butler's uniform with a cast around his arm, puzzled her. She was expecting Elian to explain the situation but the fact that he left without saying a word, put her in an awkward situation.

She smiled at Kian. "Is there anything I can help you with?", she asked kindly. Kian understood she was looking for an explanation regarding his presence. He shook his head. "I accidentally got hit with his car so he brought me to stay here till I get better". The reply softened her face and she walked closer to him and touched his cast, "Oh no! You poor child! You must be in pain. Come on in, I'll show you to the guest room. You need to lie down". Her caring attitude made Kian feel incredibly warm.

He smiled at her, "I'm alright now. Doctor gave me painkillers so I should be fine. But I'm not his guest so I'd rather sleep here on the couch". She responded, "Oh sweetie don't worry, young master is very kind when it comes to such things". "No, It's just that I wasn't brought here willingly. It was more like a deal. So I'd rather not use the luxuries", Kian's reply surprised her a little.

It was the first time she had met a young man with such pride. "Are you sure you'll be okay sleeping here?" she asked once again. "Yes, I'll be okay", Kian smiled. The woman smiled back and left the room after a while.

Kian reached for his phone and called Will and told him about the incident.

He finally laid his body on the couch and sighed deeply. As he laid there, he stared at a beautiful view of the city lights through the glass panes. He started thinking whether he was doing the right thing coming here, whether he would actually get the money or not and whether he would be able to deal with this alpha while he was here. Before he realized he was already asleep.

(Ring...ring...ring…) The sound of the phone ringing woke Elian up from his sleep. He tried to locate his phone with his touch, without opening his eyes. "Hello?" he answered wearily. "What? Today? When? Uhh…. Okay yeah….I'll be there. Gimme half an hour at least". He cut the call and got from the bed and hurried inside the bathroom to take a shower.

Ever since Elian graduated and joined the family business his life had become even more hellish than it was before. If he had to be truthful he'd admit that the only time he enjoyed himself was while staying away from the family and studying in London. This city and the company only reminded him of what happened 15 years ago. Maybe that was the reason despite how much his brother supported and encouraged him, he never truly liked working for the company.

As Elian walked down the stairs hurriedly buttoning his cufflinks, his eyes fell on the couch abruptly stopping him in his way. He came closer to look at the man lying on the couch who's knees were tightly curled into his chest and while his left arm with the cast on it was being supported by the back of the couch, the right one was squeezed between his chest and his knees. Just by looking at him one can tell that he had been freezing all night. Elian stepped closer. He saw Kian's face. His eyes were shut but there was a tiny frown on his face as if he was dreaming of something scary.

Elian had completely forgotten about him ever since he got up. He remembered how much trouble he caused last night, and how much of a jerk he had been. But now, he can't help staring at that face. The more he stares at his face the more attractive it gets. He had woken up next to a lot of different faces in the past seven years but none of those were as beautiful as this one.
