10 Hate you more everyday

(Present)

"Elian? What are you doing here? Everything alright?", Declan asked, completely shocked to see his friend, standing at his door.

Elian walked in without saying a word and Declan closed the door behind them. He dropped himself onto the sofa sitting in the middle of the living room, and leaned his head on the back of it. "Are you gonna say something? I'm literally panicking right now?", Declan asked, angrily.

"You know how everyone says, I'm like my dad?", Elian said in calm but gloomy voice and Declan began feeling even more worried, "What?".

"You know...they say I look like him, I talk like him...I uh, everything about me". Declan was confused listening to his words. All these years they had known each other Elian hardly ever mentioned his dad except for this one time he told him about his family's past after they met in high-school.

"What happened Elian? Just tell me.", Declan asked impatiently. "I didn't really care though, cuz I thought I was different. I was stronger, I thought", Elian said as if he couldn't hear Declan.

"Look, you're nothing like him. I know that alright?", Declan tried to make him feel better. "You're gonna be disappointed in me", Elian laughed hysterically.

"I got fooled you know. That bastard tricked me. He said he was a beta otherwise I wouldn't have taken him home. He was scheming this all along", Elian's voice turned bitter all of a sudden.

"Who? The butler? What'd he do?".

Elian didn't answer the question and just sat quietly staring at the ceiling. Declan started to sense the meaning of Elian's words,

"He's an omega? But he said..?". He could already guess what had happened between the two by the look on Elian's face. "Look you're not like your dad alright? You were drunk and you've never been around an omega, so you have never been aware of their pheromones. Maybe that's why you slipped?".

Elian thought about what Declan was saying even though he was fuming with fury. He thought, Declan wasn't wrong. It was just heat of the moment and nothing else. It could've happened to anyone.

He tried collecting himself thinking he can fight back. He turned to Declan and asked, "So? What now?".

"Well you didn't mark him, did you?", Declan asked.

"No, I think", Elian tried recollecting the series of events that had happened and although his memory from last night wasn't crystal clear he could tell he hadn't marked Kian or else he would've remembered.

"Well that's better, just sleep here. We'll call Tristan and talk to this boy and ask him why he lied", Declan replied.

Kian woke up and found himself naked on the bed. He felt a pain spreading up from the bottom of his torso and exhaled sharply. He got himself to stand up despite the pain, and tried remembering how he ended up like this.

Out of nowhere, he began feeling nauseated and as if something was travelling up his gut. He ran to the washroom and puked inside the commode. After letting all of it out he felt slightly lighter and better.

He stepped into the shower and began washing himself up. He looked at his body's reflection in the glass partition of the shower, and noticed a tiny bruise on his collar bone. He wondered how it got there. And in no time he his brain remembered every thing, every single detail. He couldn't believe his own mind, the scenes that kept repeating in his head, and that he was in a heat last night. That he was not a beta.

His thoughts kept getting more and more muddled so he rushed himself out of the washroom and got dressed. He took deep breath in as he stood there, "Think Kian, Think", he said out loud. He thought he could be wrong about everything, maybe it was a nightmare, maybe he was drugged. But he had to be sure. He took his backpack and took off for the hospital, hoping he was in fact just drugged or sick.

Kian never gotten tested growing up. In fact most kids in the orphanage never got tested. Most elite families got their kids tested to ensure that their lineage didn't get polluted by an omega or sometimes even a beta. Some families just participated in the testing process due to the convention.

But the orphans ranked lowest on the social ladder, they didn't need testing. They were usually abandoned for being omegas or for being birthed by the omegas. Those who didn't know their second gender at the time of abandonment found out with time as they started producing pheromones or got their heats during adolescence.

And Kian never got his heat in his teens, so he assumed he was a beta. He even felt grateful for that since it made his life easier while making his space in outside world. He thought there was one less trouble for him in his life.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"You didn't sleep? I told you to sleep dude", Declan said walking to his living room looking at Elian who was still in the same spot on the sofa, sitting upright.

"I called Tristan, he said he can change the contract. I'll throw him out of my house as soon as I get there".

Declan was pouring coffee into a cup as listened to the man talk. "Don't be so aggressive, we'll talk to him alright? I'll go with you". Declan was aware of Elian's temper when it came to things even remotely connected to the incident that happened more than fifteen years ago, so it was for the best that he accompanied him.

The two of them reached mansion and got inside to find Tristan already present. "He's not here. He left early in the morning but his stuff is still upstairs. I checked", Tristan told them, "By the way, if he's an omega why are there no suppressants in his stuff?".

"You went through his stuff? Come on man that's invasion of privacy!", Declan exclaimed.

"He lied to us Deck. To hell with his privacy. If he cared about privacy he would've locked his door last night", Elian interrupted the two.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kian was in a room inside the hospital with the report of his second gender in his hands. He kept reading it again and again to make sure he had read it right, "Ω". "I understand your shock. There are cases where heat arrives as late as 25 years. It could be that it got triggered by presence of excess alpha pheromones or by sexual awakening sometimes you know", the doctor sitting in front of him explained.

Kian was hearing the words but not listening to them. He felt distraught finding out that he was indeed an omega. And most of all he felt disgusted that he had sex with the man that he loathes so much.

That he couldn't even have resisted when he had touched him, when he had kissed him and had forced himself upon him. He picked up his report and left abruptly.

He decided to take all his stuff and leave the mansion instantly. He couldn't bear being around Elian for even one more second.

As soon as he reached the mansion and walked inside, he saw three men standing in the living room. His eyes fell on Elian who was standing there looking at him with a frown on his head.

He didn't know what came over him as he walked towards Elian and smacked him in the face with his left hand. "You rat bastard! How did you dare to touch me?", Kian yelled furiously. Declan tried pushing Kian away from his friend and Tristan just stood there in awe.

"Oh is this part of your scheme? Pretend that you were exploited? Ask for more money?", Elian reacted mockingly. "My what? What did you say?", Kian kept trying to struggle out of Declan's hands that were holding him back.

"Your scheme, the plan you've been cooking up all this while! You saw an opportunity so you lied that you were a beta. You came here you saw all this wealth and you got greedy. You thought you could hook me down. Then you spread those slutty pheromones across the hall and unlocked the door. You were the one that spread your legs and got what you wanted and then you came here pretending to be exploited hoping I'd feel guilty? For a slut like you?". Elian's words made Kian freeze.

He had never felt this humiliated in his entire life. He felt like those words were piercing his heart and tears welled up in his eyes. The bag that was barely hanging by his shoulders slipped to the ground as he ran out of the room, wiping his tears with back of his hands.

The tears kept pouring from his eyes as he sat in the bus on his way home. Everything that happened since yesterday had Kian shook from top to bottom. He couldn't think straight. He was worried what will happen to the shop, to his dream, now that everything had changed. How much trouble he'll go through now that he was an omega?
