10 Ability

"What happened to Anna?"

"What's with the screams this early in the morning?"

"Did she see anything from Silver's room; the scream is coming from there"

"He did not come home last night lets go and see"

The passage to silver's room was now full on noises and everyone trying to poke their heads inside to see what had happened. Silver was also hopeless to this situation, when he send his perception he had seen Anna in his room and wanted to surprise her but who knew she would scream so hard his ears were staring to hurt.

"Well are you calm now Anna, look you have awaken everyone now"

"But, but, you, you, how...."

"What happened to Anna Silver, did you scare her or something?"

"Oh, I just teleport ed in front of her and she was scared silly"

"Oh"

"Whaaaat, you just what?"

"In a way I have become like Jerry"

"You have awakened too, wow and teleportation at that"

The world now had people who could do abilities that were called awakened, these abilities were not magic and they could be found on humans when the world changed. The Scientists made a guess to this that when magic first appeared in this world it affected a lot of people; the change of the human body in order to adapt to the current environment had given some people special abilities. Not everyone had such luck as in the entire orphanage only Jerry who was taken by the military could display such an ability of moving objects with his mind.

"Then are you also going to live and join the army"

When one of them asked questions in everyone's minds after they learnt he had awakened they all stared down not knowing what answer he would give. When the adults were taken to war the town was now left with kids and old people only. To them Silver was the big brother that would help them in any situation they can't handle, he was the one who provided food for everyone, a link between all of them and without him they did not know where to begin.

"Fuck no; do you want me to die there?"

"Hahahah, just asking"

"Can I get that?"

"Oh this, I got a lot of them on the boat, why don't all of you go there with crates and carry them here. You will find the boat at our usual hang out spot"

"Can't you just teleport it like the ones you are holding?"

"Hell no, are you kidding and what will you do, you all need some exercise the place is not far from here and you should go early before people begun waking up, you might have to share with the whole town then"

Everyone become energetic after hearing that, they all knew that food was becoming harsh to gather and soon there won't be much to feed their stomachs. Silver could have gone and teleport the fruits here but that would make them lazy to do anything. After they were gone he decided to start practicing teleportation on alive things and the first test subject would be a chicken.
