"In life, some people will be better than you, even if they didn't work hard for it." That was what my mother told me when I was young.

Whoever knew my dream would one day come true come true.

Right now, the world is ending.

At least that is what the person said in the Screen that spands across the entire country. Apparently every country have one right now.

But there is hope. He said that the strongest out of approximately 8 billion humans will get to survive and live in the other world. In the other world everyone have an ability and only those who either develope the strongest ability or the most useful ability gets to go there.

"There is ten rounds of filtering. But there is a shortcut. Those who develop their ability here and now get to have their analysed and if it has either a strong potential or a useful potential , you get to skip to the 9th round."

The moment he said that a wave of energy hit us. One by one people started floating in the air. Including me.

"Woah." I whispered. A feeling of excitement surge through me. Average grades, average family, average life but super awesome ability!

"Hey whats your level?" My bestfriend by my side asked. She had a huge smile on her face as though she struck a lottery.

"Double S you? " I grinned.

Her smile faded and she gave me a fake'Tsk'.

"S." She then regain her smile and said, "No matter how powerful your ability is. Mine will still rein supreme."

"Huh?"

"I can make food with a touch of my hand." As if to proof her point she touched the school's canteen table, causing it to turn into cake.

My face lit up "Awesome!"

She gave me an I know right face.

"But I doubt I want to eat that." The fact that it use to be a table repelled me from gobbling it up. She shrugged and looked up at the floating screen.

The man in the Screen looked please and said "Well isn't that great, so much potential in this world. My friends, go check on the ability and bring the ones with B class and above here." The minute he said that, many other masked people appeared all over the sky and descended to look for those that are currently floating.

"While they do that, many of you will be wondering, why only those who develope their abilities right now get to skip? Well the answer is easy really, abilities with more potential are more likely to activate upon that energy wave. Hence are easier to train. "

" Give me your hand. " A voice surprised me.

It was one of those masked men. He has clear grey eyes. It was mesmerising to look at.

I looked at Amy who was being inspected by another masked man and lifted my palm.

He felt my palm gently and closed his eyes. Once he open his eyes, he took out a bracelet.

" This cannot come off once on. It contains your basic information and ability grades. Don't worry about your ability being leaked." He said as he put it on. Once on it automatically shrinked to fit my wrist size.

" Follow us." They said in synchronisation and grabbed our wrist.

The next second, we were no longer in our country but rather on top of a freaking ocean.

My eyes darted left and right. Around me were many other confuse people with bracelets on their wrist.

The masked mens look amused as they scanned our faces.

After a while, more people started to appear and once there was approximately 1000 people, he open his mouth.

"About 988 of you. That's actually quite a number." He smiled.

"This are the lucky few! Chosen by God!"

"While you all fight to the death. You shall realise the immense difference between an A class to F class ability. Then witness the might of those above A class! This is the difference in those born weak and those born strong!" He announced with glee.

"To those A and S class who will develope their abilities during the competition. Please use your time wisely. Train as hard as possible. To those below B class, best of luck trying to survive."

"Now." He turned to us.

"You are all required to be in groups of 8 . You will all be given till the 9th round to choose your group mates but for now, it's a must to have at least one. So chop chop!"He signed with his hands.

" Oh, please note that a group mate is for life. Or at least till you reach the new world. Those that betray your group mates will die a horrible death. "He gave us a V sign and turn back to the other masked mens.

"Amy?" I looked at her and she raised her brows. "Do you even need to ask? I dealt with your lazy ass since middle school. I can deal with it till the end of life." She grinned.

I pretended to feel hurt "My feelings are fragile. You just hurt me deeply."

"Oh drop the act. I have been giving you free cake since the first day we met, so either way you have to forgive me." She punched my shoulders.

"Ohh most of you are done with your partnership! Good good! Now-"
