4 Chapter 4: First Weapon

After getting the 'Enrollment' notice said by Morgan the two of them began to wonder in the city.

Although Kyle's familiar at the slum area, he focused on 'how to survive' and 'making money' thus he didn't have any chance to pass in the City.

Nicolo only got a little amount of money just enough to feed the two of them in a day if they rent some house to stay for the night or if they camp in the woods they can use the money to feed themselves in 2 days and 1 night. That period is enough for Kyle to geta dormitory inside the Habrion Academy.

The two of them started to visit some stores.

While walking to the street Nicolo began to think 'Maybe this child doesn't a weapon'. But when he checks his side. Kyle wasn't there anymore!.

Nicolo began to look back and fort. He didn't notice Kyle to get lost. He knows that his sense in 'Human form' is a little bit lacking than his 'White Dire wolf form'.

Nicolo activates his 'Keen Eye' and began looking for Kyle's footsteps.

[Urdy's Weapon Shop]

Kyle's Eye saw the sign of a Weapon shop!

It has an insignia of the 'Blacksmiths Guild'

A hammer and a cog and the store's Insignia of a Sword and a Hammer to make a cross.

Many strong-looking men are going inside the store. Kyle got curious and then began to look at the displayed weapons on the front store.

Golden Gauntlet! Golden Sword! Spear! Golder Armor!

Kyle's eyes are shining!

'What weapon do you think is suitable for me? 'other me?' ' Kyle said to himself.

'Who knows!'

"Little man, If you're interested just come inside!" said by a man with a brown hair with black eyes, he has a shoulder armor and got a 'wooden shield' on his back.

"Can a 12-year-old kid enter this shop?"

"Yup!" said by the other guy with grass on his lips, He has a black hair and eyes, got a leather suit with a pair of daggers on his waist.

"Yah! just take the boy with us! These two stupid old man! Hurry! we must prepare for the coming hunt!" said by a scary lady with a violet hair and black eyes. She has a silver gauntlet with a red lining on her right arm. She looks fierce!

"What are you looking at? little boy?" added by the violet haired lady to Kyle.

Kyle just stepped back because this lady is so scary!

"A-ano... can I take care of him? h-he's cute, like a raccoon" said a maiden, a girl with blonde hair, she's a white robe with a yellow lining and holding a golden staff with 6 rings with it. Kyle's eyes began to enlarge he saw the insignia of the 'Church of Mana' in the maiden's not-yet-grown-chest.

In Kyle's knowledge, in the prime Church of Mana way back a decade ago, the Church has a large number follower. But due to the incident that happened that day, the Church followers began to swear loyalty to the gods and not to the 'mana' anymore. The brainwashed followers now got a rank in many different Churches.

And now there are only little followers left of the Church of Mana. Although they are in few numbers they the members according to the book are the high ranking ones, thus because of this Kyle begins to think 'How can a little girl be a follower of this old Church of Mana?' he said to himself.

"Just make sure he won't do anything inside the store! or else that old man will ban us again!" a scary can be seen by this Violet haired lady.

"Understood!" said the maiden and then she saluted.

"Let's go!" the maiden bend and said these words as she extends her arm to Kyle.

Kyle didn't even have to think twice, he can see that this guy is a trustworthy person, but he still doubts that devilish violet haired lady!

And then the group adventurers together with Kyle enter the shop. The maiden was holding kyle's hand as if the two are dating.

The shop was occupied by a lot of adventurers, some are like barbarians, knights, and even monks are in this kind of shop even though normal monks are not fond of material things, this kind of monks even has the eye's for some weapons like knuckles and because of they have the intention for these material things they are banished from their respective.

"What's your name by the way?"

"I'm Kyle"

"Mine's Morgan," said by the violet haired lady.

"My-my name is Mariel," said the maiden.

"Ethan, "said by the brown-haired guy

"Mitsuki," said by the black-haired guy

The group entered the shop, Ethan, Morgan, and Mitsuki just go straight to the owner of the shop to buy the things they need for the mission.

Mariel and Kyle began to roam around the shop.

They saw different kinds of armors and weapons created by different blacksmiths.

But the most pricey one is the things that the owner of the blacksmith shop makes.

'They are so well made.' Kyle said and then looks at a short sword's stats.

After looking at the stats, Kyle was shocked about the price!

'1 gold coin! that money will be enough for me to live in a year!' Kyle said to himself.

Mariel saw kyle's disappointed face. "Hmm, maybe we can look at the weapons although they are not good as that one they're good at a good price, many people choose them as because at their price!" Mariel said to comfort Kyle.

And then the two of them began to look for weapons at the back... they looked at a lot of weapons they're good nad Kyle's considering buy a common sword with the price of 25 bronze coin.

'Hey, stupid brat, you missed a treasure...look at that old looking dagger on the trash section.' he aid said to his inner-self.

'Okay okay! don't be mad at me, I'm a beginner at looking at this kind of weapons okay?' Kyle replied.

After looking at the trash section. Kyle's eyes began to shine the moment he saw a dagger in the trash section and he also saw a little armor with a price of 10 bronze coin!

"Look Mariel this is awesome!" Kyle shows the dagger and armor to Mariel.

"Hey, you can take the dagger but that armor... it's too old and it has taken much damage as well, maybe just a dagger blow will be enough to destroy that thing, okay?" Mariel said to Kyle.

"It is not good to buy something that can be damaged immediately, remember that!" Mariel added.

Kyle just nodded and then look at the stats of the Dagger.

"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to shout hehehe" Kyle just scratches his head as he apologizes.

Mariel look at Kyle with a shocked face, 'He's brave, he manages to apologize to Udyr despite being too young'

The old man look at the dagger in Kyle's hand, he saw that the rust on the dagger was shedding.

The old man's eyes widen.

He then touches the diamond green mark on Kyle's lower left eye.

Kyle just stand still, he did not make a move when the old man touches his mark.

"Is that mark real kid?"

"Oh yeah? One day that mark just grows out of nowhere" Kyle answered honestly.

'That's odd, a mark can't just grow out of nowhere, he seems weak and doesn't have any affiliate' the old man said to himself.

"You can have that thing, just don't be noisy again or else... you know what will happen right? Little maiden" after the old man said those words, he is looking at the terrified Mariel.

"Really? Thank you!" Kyle said with a wide smile on his face.

"Hey old man you are just here, we've been looking for you in ages, just as always and add some sleeping potion okay?" Morgan said.

"Wait here". Udyr said and the left to get the goods.

Kyle was overjoyed at his black dagger with a golden handle.

Weapons and accessories are divided into several categories: common, uncommon, rare, special, legend, ancient, holy or unholy mythic,

"Uhmm Mariel" Kyle whispered to Mariel at the shy tone.

"Hey, Mariel are you okay? Your face is red, are you sick?" Kyle said blankly he didn't know why Mariel began to behave like that. 'Maybe she's mad at me earlier when I showed him that armor' Kyle said to himself.

Morgan's group was almost speechless and panic-stricken. Their muscles tremble, their feathers stand and their instinct tells them to run away but they can't do it because their feet are stuck to the ground.

"Hehe, you mad Granny!" Kyle said and slowly approached the old man as he showed Dagger the blacksmith shop's owner, Udyr.

"Sorry, my eyes get hooked by the store and look the owner even gave me this Dagger."

Kyle said, eyes still bright.

Suddenly the owner of the blacksmith store Udyr appeared.

"Old Pal, Long time no see, My senses feel you!" Udyr welcomed Nicolo.

"Ehem, Thanks for giving this kid a precious weapon"

"Wait, Don't tell me you finally have a child ?!"

"No, that's not mine, that's my best friend"

"Oh that clown huh, How is he by the way?"

Nicolo's face dimmed. "Gone"

"Oh my bad Nic, I think you should hurry to get home, pack the things up and make haste ...

I think things might get uglier if you're late ".

Udyr said and then he stepped forward, put his hand towards Nicolo's shoulder and he whispered.

Kyle said while pulling Nicolo's clothes.

"Hey, Lady! We were going home now! See you if we meet again" Kyle said and then wave to Morgan and the two of them began to walk away.

"Get ready for advance! Scout the area and make sure to get rid of traps and kill all the living things! We must exterminate all of them and make this piece of land ours!".
