8 Day 2-Questions

Orion finished making a dagger at the forge and waited for it cool down some when he thought of something.

"System?"

[Yes?]

"Um, may I ask for a skill book on how to fight?"

Orion, did not know how to use a dagger, nor has he ever fought anyone or anything in his life. This was due to how much energy he would waste, thus he was disinclined to do so from his nature.

[The System is here to help, but please don't try to take advantage of it. While we are still doing this nicely, at least. :)]

"What does that mean... Anyways, the System means that we shouldn't be babied around? So, at least we still can get skill books, right?"

At least there was some hope for him if he could get his hands on a skill book he thought.

[Creatures should only get babied by non-all knowing beings at least. Skill Books are rewards from dungeons and extremely rare drops from enemies indicating a path one can head. Also, you only get three more questions, use them wisely.]

"Okay, 3 questions..."

Orion was a bit disheartened due to this response, but quickly recuperated making a bit of resolve, finally.

Orion looks down on his forged dagger and thanked the dwarf whose name still hasn't been asked or given so far.

"Thanks, uhh... what's your name?"

"The name's, Steve, and you did a mediocre job at forging, but at least you learned enough to guide others for the start."

"Well, thanks again for your help, but I guess the races from fantasy/magick worlds are going to start to appear now though."

"Well, that's a given due to the System's interference in you guys's evolution, along with a couple of deities putting tribes down in certain places."

"Wait, System does that mean we are going to have a choice in changing races?"

'If so,' Orion thought, 'doesn't that mean...' a grave face was starting to be seen.

[Well, this is more of going to be an evolution type system that will only be around for the start of the change of the world due to the need to direct mana to prevent major poisoning.]

"So, mana can poison, huh... One question down, two more to go."

Orion then stood up and started to swing his dagger no longer going on his previous line of thought. Maybe, just maybe, he can get a skill if he did so...

The darkness around the forge started to lift and the dwarf, named Steve, started to become more transparent and bid farewell to Orion, who was currently trying to figure things out rather frantically as this started to happen.

After awhile the darkness lifted completely after half an hour, and all Orion got to show for it was a skill called [Physical Training-I] with an even worse description...

[Physical Training a method to increase strength, flexibility, and speed. The method this current skill uses is utter trash and will barely increase strength. It would be recommended to consult a professional on how to improve this method or at least consult somebody.]

Apparently quickly swinging a knife around with no target nor goal besides being a bit frantic will not get you far in life. Thus, Orion calmed down conserving a bit of strength he could have earlier. Orion suddenly had an idea while he started to hide away, he asked the System how to get appraisal and he got an answer he wasn't exactly expecting.

[Congratulations, you asked a question worth asking, but there are many types of appraisal, Magick Appraisal, Qi Appraisal, Inspection, and last but not least Soul Appraisal. All you need to do is spread out your energy and read out the results for three of them, but one of them requires a fair bit of knowledge to be accurate in. I will tell you how to use Magick Appraisal because it might help out a bit. Right now, no one has magick inherently within them, for this is the start and evolution has just begun. The ability to use magick and other energies would be to first sense them usually this is through meditation or through stressing times, such as a life and death battle or emotional teenage hormones. A little off-topic but necessary nonetheless for a pillar of humanity in the future, anyways the Magick Apprasal when used must be mana spreading out like a wave using your willpower where you then have it envelop the item you want appraised, then you must see or feel(if you aren't that talented with Magical Aptitude) the changes in the mana while in contact with the item. This will then be recorded within the Akashic field of mana with what you have deduced of it. The more widely known answers will be shown within the field, and with the appropriate skills one can see more detailed or more discreet information also decreasing false answers too. Orion, thought at first what to ask, but ultimately kept his final question for later instead he was trying to comprehend a hiding skill, whilst keeping the information about how to use energies in a notepad he had on him from the English Course.
