1 Abrupt End
"Divine Fire Slash of the Nine Fire Gods!"Savato Jun attacked with all his might;crimson pillars of flames rained down from the heavens as the slash was unleashed.
It struck the wounded Luke,furthering his injuries to the point of death!
As he drew his last breath,He cursed,"Savato!If there is another life i will end you!"His words full of hatred,as would anyone,if their best of friends betrayed them.
Luke was nearing the pinnacle of martial arts,being a rank 12 Martial Angel who was close to breaking through the next step.
Luke was planing to go in seclusion so that he can break the barrier to achieve the 11th Step of martial arts but was unfortunately ambushed by multiple experts,surrounding him.
Although they were weaker then Luke,their numbers made up for the lack of quality;having 7 rank 5 Martial Demons, 5 rank 7 Martial Demons, 2 rank 10 Martial Demons and 1 rank 11 Martial Demon.
Luke had killed all but one,the ground beneath him laid the 14 corpses of the Demons.
Unexpectedly,the last Martial Demon was actually a rank 12 Martial Angel!He was Savato,Luke's friend who often adventured with him.
They braved dangers together,suffered together and celebrated together.The last attack was Savato's specialty:no one else could replicate it.
With this,Luke died with mixes of resentment,hatred,anger,sadness and confusion.He hated how he was betrayed by one of his brothers.
He was angry for being betrayed and resented Savato for killing him.He felt sad as his betrayer was one whom he trusted the most and was confused as to why he was betrayed.
[Am i not dead?]Luke though as he tried to get up,yet could not.He opened his eyes to see nothing but a black void,devoid of everything.
He could not hear,breath,smell nor could he see.(Welcome User.)A voice popped out of nowhere, startling Luke as there was visibly no one around.
[Am i blind?](No you are not User.)Before he could think of anything else,he was interrupted with the same girlish voice
.[You can read my mind?Who are you?]Luke tried to ask,hesitant.(Of course i can read your mind,I am in your soul.My name is Gaia,I am going to provide help to you as a system.)Gaia answered back.
[Where am I then?]Luke tried to seek clarification from Gaia.

Luke was flabbergasted due to the mention of Supreme Laws as just mastering one of them would render one invincible in their Step and nearly unkillable to people from a Step higher with the exceptions of the 12th Step and above.
