1 Chapter 1

Sacred battlefield we called war.

Ever since I was born, I've been holding nothing but sword.

Raised as a warrior to protect the country.

What's the point of protecting rich people if the poor once will perish?.

I kept asking myself, what i am even fighting for.

Friends? Comrades?Family? Does it really matter?

Can't I just protect both of them?

In the end...

I couldn't protect anything.

The war has ended and only the five of us survived.

All I could do is put a brave face and continue on living.

The place that i was born, parents who raised me, all vanished in just one day.

Since the war ended, the five of us parted ways...

I, Kurogami Takehisa, went to Kyuni Empire for a new journey, finding a new self...

One day while walking down the streets heading to an inn somewhere in Kyuni Empire, He saw a slave young woman, who has a black hair with a beautiful face, who has chains on her hands whom with a black haired guy that's making her carry heavy items, for Kuro at first he thought it's none of his business that's why he continues to walks away, but the moment he glances at her. He saw her staring at Kuro with a cold stares, as if she was asking for help. He couldn't resist himself but to get angry but he couldn't do anything but to watch her carry those items that she's having hard time to carry. Kuro tried to approach her, in order to help her but before he could. That woman stripped on rock and fell down. Unfortunately the person beside him saw her fell down, he thought she was taking a break that's why he yells at her and says, ''who said you could take a break!!??''

That person walk towards her and tried to slap her, when her hands was about to reach that woman's face, Kuro run towards them and the moment he catched up with those two. He manages to punched that person on his face, before he's hand could reach that woman's face, that person stares at Kuro with an angry reaction as he yells, ''h-hey what are you doing! Why did you punch my beautiful face?!''

Kuro stares directly on that person's eyes with a murderous stares and says, "you're a slave trader. Right..? I'll buy her!" And gave that person 3 gold coins...

...Instead of complaining, he accepted the money and says, ''business huh..?? Sure take her away, she's pretty useless after all!?''

After Kuro heard those, he couldn't stop his self from getting angry. And slightly shown he's swords with it's scabbards and says, "Continue talking and your head will roll on the ground!"

He got frighten and walks away from them, shaking in fear...

... Kuro glances at her and holds her face as he asked, "Are you okay? Are you hurt somewhere?"

A sigh of relief came out from her as she kept being silent... While Kuro just kept staring at her, (This woman... What's wrong with her, is she unable to speak..?? Like deaf person..??)

Kuro stares at her and says, "hey! Woman!! What's your name..?"

She got frighten from what Kuro says that's why she couldn't stop her self from shaking while talking, "K-kaa-ge-m-m-mia..."

"Hmm Kage...mia?" *Blank stare*

She stopped herself from shaking for a moment and speaks in kinda gloomy voice and says, "Wrong mister it's kagemia... My name is kagemia...''

Kuro glances at her as he plays dumb, "Ohh... Kagemia, huh..?? Don't worry, you're safe now"

As she stares on his eyes, she never thought that someone would really help her. But even though she doubt him, she put her trust on him and stares at his eyes and says, "Mister it's kagemia... Really mister...?"

Not knowing the reason why, Kuro felt like she sounds like a princess asking for help, like he felt that he's not worthy of helping her. But he told his self that, (If i don't help her now... Who would help her..??)

As he stares on her eyes, he told his mind that he'll decide to give her hope in order to keep living, "Yeah... From now on, you can count on me! I'll protect you no matter what!!"
