DEAR CEO

She went back to her working desk but couldn't concentrate with her work tasks. She has an important personal task to attend to and that was to find ways on how she can score a lunch date with the CEO.

She must find a way.

Her full monthly salary was at stake.

She only had this afternoon and tomorrow morning to ask the CEO to have a lunch date with her.

It was no doubt that she had guts to ask him for a date.

But she has no opportunity.

She didn't get sight of him in the office in the past two days.

Where was he?

"Aha!" She said when she suddenly thought that she can send him an email.

So she started composing it.

'Dear CEO,

In case you have forgotten the lunch date that I owe you, let me remind you of that. You only have one lunch left this week so better grab the opportunity that I can treat you.

Just so you know I'm the woman who had her birthday two days ago, the one who have wished for her Mr. Right.

Sincerely,

Rakelita Manalo'

When she was about to find the CEO's email address from the global directory she suddenly stopped from browsing.

What was the full name of their new CEO again?

Geez, she doesn't even know the name of their new CEO.

What kind of employee she was that she didn't even know it? She remembered that she received an email about the announcement of the new CEO but didn't find time opening it. She just did what she always fond of doing everytime she receives a memo from the office of the CEO.

Delete it without reading.

Because she believed that it doesn't concern her anyway.

But it do matters to her now.

She suddenly opened her deleted folder and browsed for that announcement email.

She remembered she had set a rule that everything on her deleted folder will be permanently deleted after 1 month of deletion.

She got frustrated when she tried to search for the deleted items related to the CEO in the search bar of the deleted folder and couldn't find that announcement.

'Ahh Rakelita Manalo! Next time do not delete everything that came from the office of the CEO without reading okay!' She chided herself while she was reading all the emails on her deleted items one by one.

Has the announcement was sent more than month ago?

She called out her favorite Greek God "Hercules" to help her find that email.

She was about to give up in frustration because she only had two mails left on her deleted items that she haven't read on.

She read the second last unread emails that she has and it wasn't the announcement.

She closed her eyes when she opened the last unread email.

'Oh my Hercules, please don't fail me. This last email is the announcement right?' She earnestly said while she slowly opening her eyes to read the email. When she saw the title of the email she can help but shouted in excitement.

"Yess!!! My Hercules!"

She chanted joyfully as she opened the email. Her officemates from her department did not mind her because they were already used to her sudden outburst.

'Bruno Monteclaro'

She curled up her lips.

So his name is Bruno.

It fits.

Bruno as a name for her sounds 'macho'

And he was indeed a real hunk in every sense of the word.

Though she did not see his naked torso yet, she can imagine that inside of his american suit, a six-packed abs was there hidden.

'Bruno Monteclaro' she murmured again.

She kinda like his name.

She excitedly opened the email that she has drafted a while ago for the CEO.

She clicked the To: line and looked for Bruno Monteclaro email address at the global directory.

And there he goes.

She smiled from ear to ear when she saw his email address and confirmed his designation.

Bruno Montecarlo-Chief Executive Officer.

She selected his name and checked the read receipt option too before sending the email.

She was holding her breath when she pressed the send button.

When she saw the confirmation note that the email has been sent, she almost died of anticipation.

.....

It was almost 5:00 PM and she hasn't received a reply yet from the CEO. She have sent her email almost 3 hours ago. She hasn't received a read receipt notification from him yet.

'He's busy' she thought.

'For sure he still has hundred of emails waiting to be read at his inbox and my email was one them' she murmured.

'If I didn't receive a reply until EOB, I will send a follow email tomorrow morning' she said to herself with determination.

She heaved a deep sigh of frustration when she did not receive a read receipt notification until the clock ticked off for another hour.

It was 6:00 PM already and time to go home because business hour has ended.

She shutdown her laptop and scooped her bag and realized that she did not do any productive work in the entire afternoon.

She tapped her forehead.

Argh!!! Her half day will be paid by the CEO's company without her doing anything productive at all.
