7 Bravo!

"I have been in this profession for a long time, nearly thirty two years now." Dayal continues " So I have much more experience then you. I have seen how you all still argue with each other for small things, after knowing it very clearly that you are on a mission.This is not what I thought you would do. This is not what I want from you. "

Once again they started looking at each other.

"Don't look here and there, I am right in front of you" They all turned their face to him.

"What I want to say is that in team investigations you need to work along with your colleagues without being selfish.Me and Loy, we both have been trying to solve this case since  last two years but we were not successful because we needed more people in our team.Even the superiors have asked me to leave the case but I can't. Why? Because this is my last mission and I want to solve this anyhow. "He stops and walks to the book shelf.

He takes out an old file. As he turns the pages a picture falls out of it.He picked up the picture and speaks as he shows it to them "Loy and me, in our late 20's.I can't forget that night when he risked his life to save mine." Four of them looked up to him, astonished.

"We were investigating a rape case and we even got to know the person who committed the crime.So we went to a remote area for search. Unfortunately he was alert and he ran away. Finally after 2-3 days we caught him in an encounter. I don't know how he got the gun but he pointed it on me and fired. Before I could do anything Loy pulled me back and stood in front. He asked me to follow the person before we missed him. I hesitated but it was my duty anyway."

"Did you catch the person? " Sid asks.

"Yes, we did. After all he hit my friend.Loy was serious and he was in the hospital for a week. It was really a tough time for me.That is why he is not only my partner but also my brother. "

"We never knew you two had such deep brotherhood. He was really a life savior, but I have a question?"Jake asks.

"What? "

"He sacrificed his life for, he works with you, supports you but what about you? Have you ever done something for him? "

"I was expecting such a question  from you. Well yes. Once he was in this very difficult situation when he was blackmailed by his wife. I made her understand that her husband's life values more than those new sandals in the market. Not only that one day he was trapped in the washroom because the lock was broken. I smacked the door and saved him. "

"Bravo! " Jake applauded.

"But this is not the point. What I want to say is that in cases like this you can't be certain about things. Anything may happen. Don't be sure that you will not face troubles like this where you may risk your life. So I request you to be together with one another till the end and work as a team.Otherwise,you have to regret. Is that understood? "

"Yes" They say in unison.

"Now go back to work." They all got up and started to leave.

"And Samatha would you mind bringing me a cup of coffee? "She stops to answer.

"Okay"

"I didn't know you are such a hero, Loy "Jake says as he pours coffee into his mug.

" What? "Loy asks.

" I mean you are quite brave"

"Well that's true but what makes you say so? " He fixes his tie as his face lights up by the complement.

"Why? You saved oldmans life  during some case, I guess. "

"He told you that? " In a shocked tone.

"What is going on, guys" Sid enters the kitchen.

"Nothing, I was just talking about that incident"

"Oh yes… you did something phenomenal! "

"What are you guys talking about? "

"The day in you late 20's when you saved Mr. Dayal from a bullet. That rape case, remember. "

"No….it was not me but him. He saved me from being shot. " Loy explains.
