Chapter 30: Stupid Demon Hunter

CESIA'S POV

I DON'T KNOW what will be my reaction, after hearing the reasons why we wake up early and got disturbed by our sleep. We are here in the visitor's lounge of Dark's Mansion. Together with Amara, Aries, Aivan, Dark, and Trevor.

I am stunned and unable to answer them. Should I accept their offer?

Trevor spill the bomb in front of us, and all of them agree about his suggestion. He suggests before we proceed to the Death Mountain of Parnassus, I must undergo training for physical combat. So, I can learn to protect myself and beat up monsters.

For two weeks?

Can I learn anything from that?

Is it necessary for me to undergo training?

Can I do it in two weeks?

"It's for your own sake, Cesia. You must know how to fight; especially when we were going to a dangerous place." Aivan speaks; they are waiting for my decision.

I know, they were worried about my safety. I accept the fact that I am unable to fight like a pro or like them. I just know how to punch and kick stupidly. I'm not like them, that they were born to fight and kill.

'Zia, Am I that a big burden to them?' I lower my gaze and sighed because of me, they are here to accompany me and find clues about myself. I am a burden and weak companion. I am just nothing with their strengths and knowledge about fighting.

'You will never be a burden to them, Ces… You are their friends, and in fact, they are here to help you. It is a good sign and a new adventure to take. Come on, accept it, you are the most who can benefit it.' Zia's answer is like a light bulb to my sudden insecurities.

Yeah, she is right. Why I always end up, having a negative reaction first? However, it is for my own, good. An improvement, instead of thinking low to myself. Why accept it and learn? Enjoy and Grab when an opportunity comes. I secretly smile in my mind. I'm so lucky to have them in my life. Maybe, it's time for me to change… A true change, no more doubts. I must trust them and learn to accept their help. I must learn to value their efforts and give them my support. It is for myself and I know they will never leave me…Alone.

I look up and went around my gaze to the people in front of me. The people who have been there since I wake up from my nightmare. The people who teach me, the value of life. They have this hopeful look on their faces and I must answer it. I sighed and smile weakly.

"Okay, I accept it. I will do my best to cooperate and learn in two weeks." They were all smiling with joy except the Prince of Darkness, who is now smirking, but I can see they were all happy through seeing their naked eyes. I give my heart-whelming smile. The sincerest smile. I will start to open up bit by bit. Moreover, I know by myself, they have a place in my heart.

'Yiee, I'm so excited! This will be a great time!' Zia said.

"Good decision." Aivan gives a warming smile.

"I can't wait to teach you my moves!" Amara's excitement was visible on her face.

"Thanks, guys. Teach me well." I genuinely smile. They were the ones who will train me, in a span of two weeks.

"Woah, it feels like I'm dreaming…Cesia was smiling in front of us. I hope it's true and not some kind of joke that I see. Can't imagine, I am now seeing her smile." Aries speaks with amusement. Not just him, but all of them were star-struck by my smile.

Geez. Unbelievable.

"You were not dreaming, Aries. I'm just doing what I promise to you. So, stop repeating those words, okay?" How many times I heard it from him, when he sees me smile, he always say those words.

"Tsk!" Trevor's face darkens and the aura outside got difficult to take.

"I guess it is settled. Little nightingale will be having training. I will send you to our training field. Before that, we must eat breakfast; the food was ready in the dining area. So that the tension here will be stopped. It is hard to breathe already." Dark snapped us, and his gaze was on the Dark Prince. He motions his hand to follow him to the dining area. Did he say, to stop the tension? I frowned. I observe and feel our place.

Huh? Why it is so cold and the dark aura was emitting goosebumps.

"Hey, why I feel so cold, and what tension he meant?" I asked. I didn't receive answers, Amara, Aries, and Aivan's faces were now pale. Trevor had a blank look that makes his aura regal and dangerous. He stands up and walks coolly while his hands on his pocket. He stops and said:

"Let's eat. After that, proceed to the training field." He continues and goes to the dining area. We follow his orders.

'Why I like that man? I can't believe it, why him?'

Geez, Aivan has no much of his regality. What Trevor wants, must be followed and done. We didn't bother to talk and silently eating in the dining area. Too, focus on the food; we eat.

[HARMONICA VILLAGE: TRAINING FIELD]

We walk in the forest for an hour. It is located at the left-wing of the Blood Forest. This forest was very huge, enough to cater and give shelter to the People of Harmonica. It is a private area, owned by Dark Valdmort's that's why they can freely move and do a living peacefully.

Dark was within us, leading the way to our destination. He was talking about his people and place. He told us, that he built a school for their kind that teaches combat fighting and controlling bloodlust. It is necessary to avoid, conflict with the humans and that is by staying in the middle forests. When a person reaches his adult age, he or she had a right to choose for living or continue schooling outside their premises, as long as they can control themselves and do no harm to humans. Valdmort manages his people in a good way, far from being; called a monster. They live in the freedom that no one can ever judge their existence. Far from the judgmental people.

We stop walking and saw a huge Tree covers with hanging vines, which I don't know what kind of Tree is.

"Okay, we're already here. Welcome to our training field. "Dark move aside the hanging vines of a tree that looks like a curtain. There we saw a very modern building and a wide field. Our mouths are now hanging with amazement.

"It's very beautiful…" I whispered. A five-floor building that occupies five hectares wide, I think. Its color was a combination of red and white. I know seeing that inside of it, was more than I can imagine. Maybe it is their training center, facilities, or weapons. I can't wait to roam around.

No people are lurking right now because it's Christmas Vacation, except for their guards. I went around my gaze in the area. The plain and grassy field was trimmed nicely. It can occupy three gymnasiums. Just, wow, maybe our stay here wasn't boring at all.

"Oh, very nice place to train a beginner," Aivan speaks, roaming around his gaze.

"This place was built for combat fighting and weapon skills. That building in front of us, where the remaining phases will be done. It was built especially for beginners. The first phase; will be here in the field for endurance, balance, strength, and speed. The second phase will start inside for flexibility, coordination, and agility. The third phase for combat skills. The fourth phase is for weaponry skills. Fifth phase for your mental and emotional training. And the last phase was the combination of all phases the final round to test your ability." Dark explains, where me hearing his explanations. Panting and starting to get panicked and nervous.

"Oh, wow. Just what we needed. Right, guys?" Aries said with excitement, Amara smiles widely, Aivan nods and Trevor his usually cold and blank face.

Me? Sweating and panting hearing those phases will get me easily killed.

"Gu-ys? Can I successfully do it, within a short time? You know I don't have experience right?" I stuttered and swallowing the lump of my throat. Please, Not all the phases. I didn't know If I can do it. Please, will be the fate is on my side this time. I silently praying, waiting for their response.

"Trust our instincts, Aphrodite. We all know about your capability. You need to undergo all the phases. I know you can do it. No more buts and you must never surrender and escape." Trevor speaks with finality and there's no other way I can escape. The hint of his voice gives me, chills but I understand what he is implying. My cheeks heat because of his burning stare. Jeez. I hope I can control these swirling feeling in my stomach. God, like butterflies flying inside of my tummy.

'Relax, no beginners start with triumph. It is the other way round, Ces.' Zia said, trying to calm me down. Yeah, she is right and because I agree all about this. I will endure it until its end.

"Besides, if you pass out or worst be killed in this training. I will make sure; I will be the one who sponsored your burial. And—What the F*ck, Ouch! Stop!" Aries shouts jumping repeatedly in the air because a sudden fire appeared on his thigh. I saw Trevor has a dark aura and grins to Aries. Did he do that? Instead of having high hopes. This stupid Aries added fuel to my nervousness.

"Tsk! Serves you right. Stupid-Moron." Amara smirked. While Aries, stop from jumping and give an apologizing look to me.

"Let's start and proceed to phase one. Aries, you will be the first person to train her. Or else I will bury you… ALIVE" Trevor said with emphasis and gives a knowing look to them. Aries got pale and sweating nodded like a frightened lamb.

"Okay, I will let you use this place. I will go back to the mansion. For your food, I order my men to bring it here. Therefore, you can continue and go home later before sunset." Dark said and automatically vanish in the air.

Whoa, the perks of being a vampire. Why we had to walk if I had a companion who knows to teleport and make a portal.

"Faster! You have to continue running and don't stop." Aries's serious face and a frown were visible. Far from the stupid Aries, I know. I was heavily panting running around the field. I think it has been an hour or pass an hour I'm running here without resting. My knees were started to get numb and shaky. Sweat was all over my body, even my clothes are wet, and I'm not comfortable with this sticky feeling I get from dust, sweat, and dirt.

How many times, I got stumbled and continue to stand up because I'm afraid of additional punishment. Worst I can't utter and disapprove words from him. I might get a punishment doubled. I gritted and control my temper because of annoyance. The Aries in front of me was a little devil hiding from a jolly and stupid person. Waiting for a chance to take his prey. The stupid prey was me, I hit his ego earlier; he got angry and irritated. My other companions just give me a grin and smirked.

Later before, we start here, Aries command me to run around the whole field twice. I countered him, telling him if he is serious. I got mad without thinking about what he really, meant. I told him, he is stupid to teach me as if I'm a sort of a runner. I thought he will teach me about fighting connected to physical attack. But, he just said to me to run around, Seriously? That's why I said hurtful words that hit his ego. I said better to train alone not this sort of this stupid training.

He got mad and shouted in front of them. Just to know my mistake. I can't forget what he said.

"You will never learn if you act that you know what has to be done first! You didn't yet get started, and here you are telling me stupid about what I order to you?" I was stunned by what he said.

"Oh, no. The Devil is out." I heard Amara whispered.

"It's not just a sort of a happy go lucky training, Cesia! You have to understand and know where you start and place! Not to act like a pro, telling me it's a joke. No, it's not! How you will be able to fight if you didn't last long on it. You have to strengthen your endurance, strength, and speed. Now, because you're overreacting about what I order, feels like it's easy for you to run around twice. I will make it tripled, run around the field six times! That's a punishment! If I heard you reacted and disagree it will be doubled." He burst from anger and his face was now red.

"You hear me? Go!" pointing on the field. I run not minding I feared him, I was nervous; shocked by his outburst. Now, I will never counter-attack a person who's very happy always they are worst from a nightmare if they got mad.

It is my last round of running, Six times running around this field was hell. I already consume three hours of running. This freaking field is a curse.

I am almost there in the finishing line. My knees are now shaking. I can't feel them, already. My white shirt is now colored brown because of dirt, my skin was full of dirt that was wet because of my sweat.

"Hold on, Cesia… We're almost there." I whispered and my voice was like a rough surface with scratch. I am now thirsty and I don't want to lose my chance of resting this time. Five steps more. Come on cooperate with me, please…

'We're almost there…'

Until one-step away, I can't take it anymore. My knees can't hold it back and I got slumped on the ground, directly my face was buried in the trimmed grass.

'We did it…Cesia…We did it.' Zia shouts in my mind with joy. I was smiling and heavily breathing. I move myself to face the sky and extended my arms and smile.

"I can't imagine, I did that hell stuff," I whispered in happiness. I did it, I know if I wake up tomorrow, my body was the first to feel pain. I silently pray that this training may not cost me having fatigue. My view in the sky got block by the grinning face of this Devil. Geez, I hate him to torture me like this. He offers a hand for me to sit. I grab it, I am now relaxed a bit, he gave me bottled water that I didn't hesitate to talk and drink all of it. Not minding their stares, I don't mind seeing me like this, like a sort of a beggar.

"Tha-nks!" I said truly, he just nods and grins.

"I guess you're having fun out there. Ready for another round, but this time we put some exciting twist." Aries speaks grinning like a devil. Did I hear it, right?

"Wha-t do you mean? I thought it's done?" I said with a disconcerted tone. What the hell is he thinking? Did he really, want to kill me?

"Oh messy, The real game is not started yet, It is just a warm-up and cools down. And I warned you, I take no for an answer. Understand?" he grimaces.

"What?" I blurted out. He is serious. It can't be!

"I guess it's a yes. Now, as I said the real game was not yet started to get this done. See those dumbbells? The weight started from 10 kg to 50 kg. You have to run around in the field with a twist… carrying the dumbbell started from the lowest kilogram until you finished carrying the highest 50-kilogram. Therefore, to count it you will run five times in the field carrying different weights of the dumbbell. Are we clear?" I was stunned and I know I am now paler hearing my next session of the training.

Oh no, After this day will ends… My body was already shredded into pieces…
