Chapter 28: Rescue

"Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being excited about what you could do right."

THIRD PERSON'S POV

[[HARMONICA VILLAGE: VALDMORT'S MANSION]]

IN VALDMORT'S house, the people out there were being disturbed by the scream of Dark's wife, Natalia. They were all gathered in the living room because of her undying screams and cry.

It's already one o'clock in the dawn, after the kids and Cesia were gone out in the house. Natalia notices the missing presence of her twins and checks it out all around the house. However, she did not find her twins inside and out of the house. Until, she came into the balcony and saw a messy part out there, where blood is on the floor. Her high hopes fade when she see scattering blood on the floor and by the smells of it, because of her vampire instinct, it is her son's blood, Ethan. She thinks, the unwanted situation of her child, what are those blood for.

"Da-rk, it is my fault. All of m-y children were gone and missing, abducted by those freaking monster! It is my fault!" Natalia cried aloud not minding the people around her. She blames herself because, she was getting angry and scold Nathan earlier and result in her son, who sulked and resented her.

"Sssh! Calm Down, it's not good for your health." Dark gritted his teeth and control his temper. He thinks he was a reckless father not noticing his children were gone.

"How would I calm down, Dark! If our children were out there, missing in action! You agree with their plan, and now what? It was failed. Worst, our twins are gone, and those freaking monsters get our precious sons and daughter! Think of it, huh? How would I calm myself? Your plan is freaking useless!" Natalia burst out of anger, blaming someone's fault.

Dark didn't counter an answer and give a knowing look to their visitors. They all nodded and understand the situation. In addition, they were all worried, too. Cesia is missing along with the child's disappearance.

"It is my fault, too. If I came with Cesia going outside. I should have known what happens." Amara weakly speaks, she blames herself for not listening to what Cesia said, earlier. It is the truth she didn't find any suspicious eerie and did not hear what Cesia is implying.

Trevor became silent; he knows that by himself his plan was a 50-50 chance of rate. He looks at the wooden table where the thing was in there. He frowned and thinking where he has seen that familiar bracelet. It is a silver bracelet design with small beads of crystallized stars and dots.

He comes closer and gets the bracelet. His question was answered after holding the bracelet, it is Cesia's property. Now, a light bulb rings in his mind and he shakes his head while grinning.

'How come, she manages to left an unnoticeable message?' Trevor's thought, being proud of Cesia's bravery and wit. He is a bit worried, but he knows she did those not minding her fear just to lead where that Bogeyman was hiding.

"Aries locate where they are now! I know they have the device. Cesia left some sign; we must follow her to avoid larger offense." Trevor orders them. Natalia stop from crying when she heard it. Dark nodded and give him a reassuring smile that everything will be okay.

"Don't worry madam; we will make sure to kick that monster back to hell," Aries said and start typing his android phone, where mortals invent that kind of thing. It is a rectangular size phone, where you can easily locate the installed device on the phone. After minutes of locating, Aries has an answer for them. Trevor nods at him and smirked.

"Get ready! We have to rescue them. To those who will come for us, and help us to get the children safe. Be ready, and in a minute we will aboard." He said full of authority they all answered and nodded. Ready for their attack.

[[CAIN'S CAVE: BOGEYMAN'S LAIR]]

Cesia was panting from running and walking while following the monster. She was so tired and opens her eyes widely just not to disappear her sight on the bogeyman. The forest was so dark, with many big trees, howling sounds of animals, and the sound of the crickets.

"I never thought this monster, loves to hill climbing. God! I never imagine I succeed in climbing three mountains high!" She was panting and got thirsty already. She stops and automatically hides on the big rock. She takes a peek at what is the bogeyman doing, and she almost jumps in happiness, thinking that her long walk and running is over.

"Thank, Goodness. I think, I finally found his lair." She releases a deep sigh, and relax for a bit. She cannot imagine why she passes those mountains without fainting. However, it is her first time to act as a hill climber.

'I hope, they already found out, where we are, Zia.' She looks at the night sky, the stars where beautifully shining and twinkling. But, it is not the time to praise the beauty of the world. Although it is her first time, she successfully manages to be alone without fear and doubts. She was proud a little and enjoys it.

"I'm sure they know all about it, Ces." Zia said.

She peek, again where the bogeyman enters. Cesia thinks it is a cave, a dark cave and she don't know what lies in that place. She slowly enter the dark cave and assist her hands at the rough walls on it. She didn't mind it's darkness and all she can see was the rays of the moons that gives a little light in the cave. After thirty minutes of walking and trailing the rough wall of a cave inside the darkness. Cesia stops from walking and heard a small grunt of voices as if they were hurting bit by bit. She heard sobs and screams, too. She already knows that those voices came from the missing children in Harmonica Village.

She walks slowly avoiding that someone might hear her steps until she finally sees the children's place and faces. Her eyes got widen in shock. She looks to the pitiful faces of children. Some, were crying in shock, some, were not blinking their eyes, having trauma from their nightmares. The others were lying unconsciously on the ground and shivering from fear. There were twenty children inside the cage. She looks around, finding the presence of the twins.

She gasped from what she has seen and automatically moves towards the direction of the twins. Nathan and Ethan were already awake but didn't move and blinking. She quickly kneels and holds Ethan's little hands. Ethan looks into her eyes and gasped. She knows that he recognizes her.

"Ti-ta, what are you doing here? They might have seen you. You have to hide." He whispers controlling his voice. He was worried and his eyes were roaming around as if the bogeyman's presence was there.

"I am here to rescue all of you. I follow the bogeyman while he was abducting you and Nathan. My companion and your dad were already coming, we have to wait for them." Cesia said, and alert herself that the monster might hear her.

In all children's right here, only Ethan was on the right mind. She frowned; Ethan answered her like he knows what she thinking.

"I'm not affected by the monster's nightmare. Because I didn't loath my parents and disobeys them. You have to wake them up, so they can avoid the nightmares to death. I'm thankful, no one is dead yet, but you have to wake them up before it's too late." She can't believe a child like him, can think of that kind of solution and escape. She shouldn't underestimate his intelligence. The way he thinks was very practical and rational. She thinks that this kid in front of him had a better future.

"H-ow you all know about this?" Cesia asked the boy.

"I read books and learn different creatures about their strengths and weaknesses. You should move, it's not the time for questioning." Ethan said with annoyance. Cesia rolled her eyes and chuckled. She feels light and hope, being together with this child, gives her strengths.

"I will be the one who will wake them up here and you on the other side." Ethan volunteers and starts to make his move. There were ten children inside Ethan's place, and he just pinches their sensitive parts to wake them up.

'What a genius kid. Her parents will be proud of him'

She immediately moves and follows what Ethan suggests. She quickly opens the wooden cage and pinches the sensitive part of their body to wake them up. She was happy and comforted when all the children are now widely awake, but some of them were in trauma.

"Bro-ther… Ethan, Nathan…" Cesia heard a girl's little voice calling the names of the twins. She looks for the kid who's talking and crying, and there she saw a beautiful little girl, with black curly hair and dominant grey eyes.

'It must be here, sister Nallah. Look at her, she looks like, Natalia but with a different color of eyes.' Zia said with joy and excitement.

She goes in front of the girl and kneels. She holds her hands and said:

"You must be Nallah, right. The little sister of Ethan and Nathan? Call me, Tita Cesia. Don't worry we are here to rescue all of you. Look your brother was so brave to rescue you. So, stop crying, okay?" The girl stops crying and looks at her with misty eyes on Cesia. She nodded and saw her twin brothers out there. She automatically hugs Cesia that made her, stunned for a while.

"Thank You, Ti-ta." Her soft voice lingers in her ear but got disturbed by a loud and angry growl.

'Oh come on, not this time!' She curses on her mind.

"How dare you enter on my lair and touch what is mine?" The monstrous voice of a bogeyman made her, knees weaken. But, she didn't give any emotions and act brave.

"Who are you, to own them? You're a monster!" Cesia almost stutters and shaken her voice.

"Oh dear, I know, I'm a monster. Don't mingle with my business here. Or else, you know that you're digging your own grave, right?" Cesia swallowed the lump on her throat. Her confidence almost wrecked out because of his voice and warned.

'How stupid you are to say his monster. Really?' Zia said with sarcasm.

'Shut up!'

"You're business is my business too. Go on, you can own them after killing me." Cesia said with a mocking tone. She didn't even know where the hell she gets that confidence to counter-talk that freaking monster.

She heard the loud growls and laugh of a monster. The monster sharpens his claws and gritted his teeth. He looks murderous, ready to kill his prey.

'Oh God!, I don't want to die like this. But, the heck, I might die here acting like a hero. Now my life is at stake. How stupid I am, to go here all alone?

"You wish for your death? I will give it to you!" The monster growls and readies his sharp claws for an attack. Cesia closes her eyes and accepts her terrifying death. The monster growls again and launches his attack, but his hand was suspended in the middle air.

Cesia felt nothing, waiting for the bogeyman to scratch her heart. But, it almost a minute, and the place was now silent and children are crying and screaming.

'Am I dead, already?'

'Why I didn't felt a pain?'

'Tsk! Don't tell me, you are already infected by Aries being stupid?' Zia said. I frowned and slowly opens my eyes, and there I saw the bogeyman, almost lying on the ground with his own blood. Until, his life was gone and turns to ashes, vanish in thin air.

'How' she was left confused about what happened until her questions got answered.

"Not too fast. No one will ever send my girl, on my purgatory. No one." Her cheeks blush, because of what she heard. She was left amaze and awe, by the dashing prince he has seen. He only wears a black polo shirt and pants, but his sex appeal was oozing to the highest level.

Cesia's world revolves around him, about what he said. Not minding the people out there busy rescuing the children. Aries and Amara shake their heads, while Aivan gives a sad smile.

"The monster was gone, and thank god! All the children were safe."
