Chapter 26: Children's Nightmare

THIRD PERSON'S POV

THEY decided to come with Dark Valdmort's place. The Harmonica Village where Hakuna Matata silently living. It is located near the city of Athens at the hidden part of the Blood Forest.

Trevor uses his Vehicle Van that will fit them all including the powerful weapons, clothing, potions, and other things needed for their journey. They decided, if they successfully save The Villager's children, they would continue their journey in going to the Sorceress Place on the Death Mountain of Parnassus.

They left the hotel at five o'clock in the morning after done preparing the things they need to bring. They do not have enough sleep, especially Cesia, because of guarding Aries's condition and how Dark Valdmort appeared in front of them. Cesia wants to enjoy the view while traveling but sadly, she fell asleep on their way. It's her first time seeing the beauty of the Mortal World, which she grows, but unable to see, because of her past.

It's almost an hour before they arrived at their destination. The place has a welcoming eerie, that makes you stay longer. The simple houses that were built in the middle of the forest. It is called a Nipa hut, but its wall was a brick of stones. All the houses in the Harmonica Village were the same including their leader Dark Valdmort. There were different kinds of crops such as corn, vegetables, and fruits. It was a very abundant place to live in.

The Van stop in front of a huge Nipa House. It is Dark Valdmort's house. It has a luxurious view but a simple one.

"We're here, Welcome to my home. Harmonica Village." Dark said, looking back at the back seat where they seating. He is the one who drives the Van.

"You have such a wonderful place," Aivan said, looking around outside. They were many children running in the field, people who are busy with their work.

Trevor taps Cesia's cheek to wake her up. She opens her eyes and looks around. Her eyes widen because of shock. She didn't even know, she fell asleep earlier, and now they're in the Village. She fixed herself and rubbed the back of her hair because of shame.

"So-rry. I got a very good sleep, I-I don't were already here." Cesia felt sorry. They just laugh about her reaction.

'Tsk! Big deal?' Zia said, about Cesia's reaction.

"It's okay, our little nightingale. We all know you're tired and don't have enough sleep. Now, we have to move out, my wife and children are waiting inside." Dark said with understanding. They all nodded and left their things inside the van, and move outside.

Cesia felt welcomed and all her tiredness was gone with the view she saw in the Village. She loves nature, how they care for it, and the beautify the place. It gives her a warm feeling of satisfaction, she can't even imagine encountering and going into a place like these.

They went inside the house, and there, they are welcome with the beautiful woman and two adorable children. The woman hugged and kissed Dark and his two children do the same. She gives a beautiful smile to them, letting them know they were glad, but those smiles had longing and sadness in her eyes.

"This is my wife, Natalia. And my adorable sons, Ethan and Nathan." Dark introduces them. Natalia has black long and straight hair, her eyes are like an emerald stone, a heart shape face, and pouty lips; matches her white and pinkish skin. His two children were more look like Dark face, thick brows and eyelashes, thin lips, pointed nose, and tan skin. You can identify them quickly, through their eyes. Ethan had grey eyes, a carbon copy of his father; while Nathan inherits Natalia's emerald eyes that took him more innocent.

'Woah, a twin? Cute!" Zia shrieked on Cesia's mind. She imaginably rolled her eyes to Zia.

'Tsk, nope, they're not.' Cesia answered with sarcasm. She heard Zia, giggle.

"Honey, this is Trevor, the dark prince. Prince Aivan of Valzonian Kingdom, Aries, Amara, and the little nightingale, Cesia. They were here to help us, finding our lost daughter and other children." Dark point each one of them. In a quick stance, Natalia cried with joy and hope in her eyes, thanking them.

"Ple-ase, bring back my child and other children here, in our Village. We will do anything, in exchange for their safety." Natalia's soft voice filled their hearts with warmness.

"No need for exchange, madam. Your husband helps our friend, too. It's our time to help him back." Cesia said with sincerity, giving her assurance to save the children. All of them nodded and agreed with what Cesia said.

"Cesia, right? Save our little sister, we already missed her. Mama told us, she just left for a vacation in my Tita's house, but we didn't believe her. I know someone, take her from us." The boy with grey eyes said with his cute and baritone voice. Cesia was touched by what the boy said. She did not know the boy, go to her side, holds his soft hand from her hand, and look at her. Her mother gasped and sobbed from what her child said.

Cesia kneeled and pinched lightly the cheeks of the boy that made him scrunch his nose.

"Ethan, right? Call me Tita Cesia, okay? We will do our best just to save your little sister. What's her name?" She holds his hands, Ethan has a mature understanding and knowledge. They are seven years old, but had the mind of a teenager.

"Nallah Theresse. She was just five years old. I don't want her to experience bad things, she was just a kid." Ethan speaks while pouting. Cesia chuckled because of the way he speaks. He is like an old man, talking. It's her first time, encountering a child, and she doesn't know why she has close ties with him or the children.

"Okay, Ethan. We will save Nahllah okay? Don't worry, I have friends who are stronger to defeat that unknown creature. Moreover, they never let a handsome child like a man thinker, become angry and sad." Cesia talks with twinkling eyes, looking to her companion who is now in a daze because of her attitude towards the child.

'I can't even imagine, seeing her like that.' Aries thought.

His parents hug each other, looking at their son. They were happy and blessed to have children like them.

Nathan walks towards Cesia's place with a piece of drawing paper in his cute little hands. He gives it to Cesia who's now curious what the little boy gives.

"It's my dra-wing. Maybe it will help you, define what kind of creature is that." Nathan said with shyness and her cheeks were now blushing.

Cesia opens the paper and gasped. Her companion comes to her side and curious about what she saw. After seeing the drawing, they were all frowning, wide eyes, and gasping. Except for Trevor who had a dark aura and clenched jaw.

"What kind of Creature is that?" Cesia asked. She has no ideas about what are the different kinds of evil creatures or mystical ones. Dark and his wife come closer to them, got curious about what was the drawing inside.

"It's a Boggart or known as a Bogeyman," Aries said. Looking at the very-detailed drawing of Nathan. It is a hairy black monster size like an ape, its eyes were like a gaseous green light with his sharp pointed teeth. It has long arms with sharp claws and its foot is like a human foot.

"Baby, where did you see that creature?" Natalia asked Nathan.

"Last night, Mama. I-I saw it while abducting m-y friend, Scylla. I-I accidentally saw him, and quickly hide in the Big Mango Tree. Because I heard her crying and screaming for help." They were all gasping by what Nathan witnessed. Fear was visible in his parents' faces.

"God, my child. You scared me to death, what if they saw you and abduct you. I don't know what to do if one of my children, got missing, again." Dark said with fear and worries on his face, hugging his child bravery.

"Syclla is missing, last night Da-rk. The Villagers were all frightened from what happened. Almost every night children went missing." Natalia explain what happened last night. It is their big problem, to faced and stops the monster.

"It all made sense, why all the victims are the young ones. It's because the culprit is the Bogeyman. " Trevor said connecting the problem.

"Bo-geyman?" Cesia asked nervously, she's having goosebumps hearing that word.

"A Bogeyman is a monster-type creature that scares children, who have done wrong and disobey their parents. They get their victims and bring them into their lair. They can make the children fall into sleep and give them terrible nightmares until their energy was drained. Worst if their bodies run out of energy while sleeping it will lead them to death. In that case, if some children were missing for a month, I am sorry to say these. I'm afraid one of them died, already." Amara explains what the Bogeyman can do. Dark cursed and punched the wall. While Natalia slump on the floor and sobbing.

"N-o, my baby. Huhuhu. Please, my ba-"

"Natalia!" Dark shouted because his wife fainted from the news they heard. They come closer to her and check her condition. Automatically, Dark carries his wife and was taken to their room and they followed him.

"We need a bait, that will make the Bogeyman came here," Trevor said. Dark look at him with anger but controlled it.

"What do you mean?" He gritted.

"A child that will act to disobey the parents. The Bogeyman will come if he feels a child who is angry and disobeys them. With that, we can find its lair, where the victims are. I need a child who is brave to face that monster." Trevor said with gritted teeth. He is not fun of helping people, but when he sees the parents and child's face. He can't deny the fact, that it affects him.

"I can do that." Their attention adverts from the child who's volunteering bravely.

"E-Ethan, N-o, not you, my child. We will find someone, but not you. I don't know what to do if you let yourself in danger, not my child again." His father was worried and weakly holds his child, like he doesn't agree with him.

"Father, I can handle myself. I want to help them, my little sister's life is in danger. We have to make our move; I don't want you and Mama to worry like that. At least I can help, too." Ethan said bravely and taps his father's shoulder. Nathan comes to their side and makes a fist bump with his twin.

"I'll support you, brother. And that's final." Nathan said.

"Okay, let's start kicking their butts off. Don't you think it's exciting?" Ethan smirked and crosses his arms.

Because of what they see, they all laugh even there is a danger waiting on them. It gives them high hopes of defeating the Bogeyman. And it's because of the two adorable twins, who are brave enough to fight that monster.
