1 Prologue

Unknown Underground.Night.

Big hairy rats scurried through the mausoleum, over the tombstones of this very large underground cemetery. A thick grey smog filled the place making the rats more creepier by highlighting their ruby red eyes. Moss-laden marble pillars stood as despairing guards on either side of the cemetery threshold. Behind the ancient wrought-iron gates were rows upon rows of crumbling gravestones, plunging the night into turmoil. The place echoed with bitter grief and the emptiness of fervent loss.

A detritus moat surrounded this cemetery which seems to be made of filthy water and human remains. It is of better interest to not even mention the skulls popping out of the water occasionally, seemingly like to catch whatever unfortunate life present here.

No sane person who set their gaze here yearns to see it again, much less cross this place.

But today is rather special. In this godforsaken land, priests donning blood-red robes have huddled together forming a big circle. Their hooded, lifeless eyes seem deathly to this world. Their bald heads rock back and forth as they chant a dreadful eerie hymn of an unknown, perhaps a dead language.

In the middle of this inhuman circle is a strange twisted altar giving off a bloody appearance yet strangely with a tone of holiness and a priest with hate-filled crazed eyes. He was holding an ancient lamp in one hand and a torn book in another. On the altar lays a grotesque human figure devoid of flesh in patches and vitals organs making it appear like a monstrous mummy that has outlived many eons of time.

The sound of the hymns oppressively increased until it reached maximum signaling that the supposedly ritual is coming to an end. The priest in the middle moved closer to the altar slicing his palm with a dagger he took out of his robe.

He brought his blood-stained palm closer to one end of the figure, dripping his blood near the apparent mouth of the figure.

Drip..drip...drip.....

The time seems to have slowed down as the dripping blood slowly approached the mouth of the figure. Moments pass by without any change in the atmosphere.

Suddenly the entire humans in the world felt a chill up their spine like they could feel their impending doom. They felt like they were prey in front of their ultimate predator. The sensation quickly vanished.

The blackness formed from the primordial hatred and the collective despair of the whole land closed in onto the altar, melting into the figure rapidly.

Crack .. crack.. crack. ..

The bones of the figure twisted, rearranged the joints and unions, unmangling itself. Then abruptly the decayed, twisted torso shot up inhaling in the air after a long time.

The figure gradually stood up from the altar and shifted towards the crazy priest standing nearby.

"Assad mi sega ankara," muttered the figure with its nonexistent mouth.

The priest knelt down instantly.

" My lord Kali, you have finally woke up. It is I who have woken you up. Now we can ultimately start our conquest of ...."

The priest couldn't even finish off his words before his head flew by. It happened so quickly that even the priest didn't realize that he died. He still had a fierce expression on his face.

The figure went to the slain head and picked it up. It brought the head towards its mouth. The next action surprised everyone else standing there. Skin and flesh drained itself from the head and the dead body and moved towards the figure. The grotesque figure slowly transformed bit by bit, growing fleshes and organs, replenishing all that it has lost until finally, a completely naked human stood there.

The human slowly opened its eyes revealing its azure red eyes, scanning his surroundings for a moment, and breaking into a twisted smile, spoke to the remaining people.

"Hm, Kali? No, You got the wrong guy."
