5 Beginning of the end

LingLing couldn't understand why he had to babysit this chick his brother had brought home. He had zillions things to do but now had to look after that dimwit girl! In his hands, he had a platter with warm rice porridge bowl and a glass of clear hot beverage. At the door, he stopped walking a brief moment to look at her. She was indeed pretty and looked so fragile! Alas, she was also a big distraction and completely useless to their plan so he felt pretty frustrated about wasting his time with her while he should be working on his goal.

He then stared at her with unhidden hostility. Lily could clearly feel she wasn't welcome here. With LingLing looking at her as if she was biggest annoyance on this earth, along with all the other emotions that had submerged her since she woke up in this unfamiliar settings, she felt her eyes watering.

" I am ...sorry..."

That is all she managed to say with a small trembling voice before her tears started trickling down.

"Dumb woman... why are crying now? I didn't even do anything to you!!! Are you trying to to guilt trip me? Do you really thing your petty trick will work on me?"

Lily put her 2 hands over her face in an attempt to hide her cries but the dig of her emotions was opened and she didn't know how to turn it off.

Annoyed even more by her cries, LingLing let out a sigh of frustration. He then took a spoon of porridge, removed the hand that was covering her mouth, blowed air on the hot porridge and slammed the spoon in her mouth. She almost choked on the food but it had the intended effect as she had stopped crying for a brief moment.

When Lily felt the warm porridge in her mouth, she was reminded that she didn't remember when she last ate and started swallowing it. Seeing that she was eating, LingLing kept bringing food to her mouth like she was a baby, blowing cold air on it when it seemed too hot, cleaning her mouth with a handkerchief, bringing the warm beverage ever 2 or 3 spoon for her to drink.

Even though, she had felt offended by his attitude towards her earlier, she could feel that he was attentive to her needs, so she had stopped crying and was enjoying her meal.

"Good girl! At least you are not completely stupid, you know what is good for you." LingLing was thinking that Big brother would now be happy.

Lily didn't reply anything. Even though he had fed her, he was still just a stranger to her like the man she saw earlier when she first opened her eyes before.
