PETE AND JENNY GOT TO KNOW THEIR NEW FRIEND BETTER

Within the four walls of an amazing hall that looked like a chamber, with a

large golden table, and sixteen chairs surrounding the table, were Pete, Jenny

and their new friend they had brought back to life sitting and discussing. He

had aided them in escaping from the lower chamber they had come from

because of the war going on down there between bad guys or enemies and

the defender. "Excuse me sir, doesn't it ever get dark in the land of gold?" Jenny asked the

good friend. "We have been here for so long that I had lost count of days;

more so it hardly ever becomes dark here since we entered," Jenny

concluded. "Yes, my friends, it never gets dark in here, I guess you have been here for

eleven years, and you have never had a day rest!"

"Ooh my God," Pete and Jenny screamed. "Eleven what, Sir? You don't

mean it, do you?"

"Off course I do," he replied. "I have been in here for 64 years, before

existing as a statue for 200 years."

"How could that be?" asked Peter. "We have been here for eleven years; and

now you have been here for 64 years and 200 additional years as a statue?

That means you are in all 64 years?"

"All together in the land of gold, you have spent a total of 264 years in this

place," Jenny questioned their new friend, the secrets revealer. "Indeed that is what had happened to me ever since I entered this place. What

I meant though you have estimated my years from your perspective, the truth

is that I am supposed to be 64 years. However, I and my parents entered the

land of gold when I was 14 years old, 50 years later after we had been trapped

inside this place, I was killed by a snake after failing to escape several times

outside the land of gold, long after my parents had also died in the land. When you are killed in this place, you turn into a statue, something similar to

a sculpture sometime after you die, but when your statue is touched by an

intruder you return to life. To that effect, I don't think you would ever escape 

you did try, I can show you the secrets of the land; but I cannot help you to

escape," the good friend ended. "How could you possibly show us out of here if you have spent this long

without escaping out of here Sir? From 200 years as a statue and you were

killed by those venomous serpents 50 years after you entered the land of gold

with your parents at fourteen years of age, you have thus, (250+14) years

given a total of 264 years?"

"Since all attempts to escape from this land have been futile, are you so

certain my sister and I will escape?" The good friend continued, "I tried to escape when I was 24 years old, but I

could not succeed, at age 64 I had met countless people who had entered the

land for its gold as usual and each and every one of them eventually died or

gone completely missing. Eventually, I was bitten by a very poisonous

serpent on one of those occasions I had made an attempt to escape, it was a

cobra. And remember like I said, I can show you all the secrets on the land, but I cannot show you any way on how to escape from here. Meanwhile, please come into my room of gold and let's eat some food and get something

to drink. I know it must be hard for you Pete and Jenny, especially

considering the fact that you have ran out of your protein cakes, nor have you

had any rest since you came into this place, the good friend said," looking at

both Pete and Jenny with so much sympathy. Inside the good friends room, made of solid gold, there Pete and Jenny had

eaten just to their satisfaction and had something to drink alongside likewise. After they continued talking with their good friend, the secrete revealer, they

had asked him several questions concerning the land of gold. The secret revealer, after treating to lavish food and drinks, had asked them

to have rest or have some sleep for the first time since they entered the land. After sleep and rest, he took them to large spaced corridors. They found a

variety of foods, legumes foods, natural nutritional fruits, drinks, milk and

honey, butter, sugar and so much more. Pete and Jenny began to look

bewildered and surprised, they could not help but to show their excitement

later to their good friend, the secrete revealer. All the cupboards had cereals, fruits that had been dried, oil made from natural olives; all they had to do was

take what they wanted and returned back to the secrets revealer's golden 

room. There they would have to prepare exquisite delicacies, cuisines, and

party as long as they wanted. "Here you are in the garden I told you we would find food, there is all you

could ever dream of eating here! This will sustain you in the land for as long

as you are alive; except you get killed by those creatures," said their good

friend. "All the water you see here provides life sustenance for the different

forms of aquatic life forms; found in the garden, it comes from the valley of

the twin waterfall," educated their good friend. "But, you must be very

careful, any creatures painted on those golden walls would come alive, if you

mistakenly touch any of them with your hands," he warned. "And I bet you, you won't survive it for certain, you would have to die living all this goodies

behind. "Amazing is this place called land of gold, in here you find the good, the bad, the precious and ugly, the bitter the sweet," said Jenny as she raised her head, staring around the whole place. "Hmmm Jenny, I don't think we would remain in this land for too long, thus, we are going to work out a plan on how to get out of this place, very soon, very soon," cried Pete. "Come, follow me please, there is something I must tell you," said the

secrete revealer. They both hurriedly followed him behind as he walked

towards a flat stone platform where they all could sit down. Jenny and Pete

had been trying out every fruit they saw to be appealing to desirable for

eating to them in the garden; they had become so filled that they could hardly

breathe. "Now you have enough food, water, fruits and fish that can sustain you a life

time my friends, I must advise you not to try escaping from this place, because you would only be killed. You know ideally my age is sixty four

years, but because I had remained a statue for two hundred years, I am two

hundred and sixty four years. Usually, an intruder into the land of gold who

tries to escape out of the land, in response the gods that guide and protect the

secretes of the land and all its golden treasurers would send out more

enemies, killer creatures to hunt that person down; before he could ever think

of escaping outside those gates and huge walls. Any one that escapes

becomes the richest man on earth, he would own so much gold, that he could

buy the whole world if he wants to," their good friend ended. Then he 

stopped for a moment, there was an unusual silence, which he later broke by

saying to Pete and Jenny; there is only one man that ever made it outside the

land of gold! He became so rich that he could pay to have you killed; he was

a very wicked man and a sadist. He had been a member of a group of secret

cultists who had been a worshipper of gods of the land of gold; there were a

number of them like him; who are allowed into the land from different parts

of the world. These men were high ranking members of their societies, everyone feared and revered them in their communities; they had so much

money their wealth and power made them the men that made it be in the

world and they had gotten all their riches from the land of gold. Anytime

people go mission in their communities, it was believed this rich men were

responsible for their disappearance. The gods of the land of gold periodically

request they bring people, humans to be sacrificed in the land. These were

people who always had an idea about the existence of the land of gold or

have heard some information about the land of gold. These men go into cities

locating families that their generations somehow had known about the

existence of the land of gold. When they find their homes, they would now

cast a spell into the family, which eventually leads to the disappearance of the

members of these families. It was sometime said, these wicked but rich men

who had access into the land of gold could chose a person and revealed the

land of gold in a mysterious way to them. Sometimes they use telepathic

methods, others they use dreams and visions when their victims become

hypnotized, they would eventually embark on their own for the search of the

land of gold. Through those mysterious paths that existed in every country

around the world like the forest around the mountains you all followed into

the land of gold. If they do succeed in locating the land of gold, they would

suddenly disappear forever, and never to be found again, some of them are

dead and had turned to statue for thousands of years, lost around and inside

this place. Any who tried to escape would eventually be killed by those

dangerous creatures and there and that is the end of the matter." With that the

secrets revealer ended his conversation with Pete and Jenny. The two young

adults had now come to full understanding of what went around in the land of

gold; they stood akimbo and in awe of what they have heard. It was hard for

them to come to terms with his ideology of never escaping out of the land of

gold.
