4 :The Darkness can also be a Friend

~Claude's POV~

She denied the General, One of the most powerful men in the Empire. Denied by a girl but maybe she isn't just some girl. I heard Tigreal said she was "The Embodiment of Balance" so maybe she's powerful. I can't tell but she is a sleepyhead that's for sure.

"She just denied you General"

"Can't be helped, she was summoned by someone else and she should obey who she was summoned by" Tigreal explained.

"Was it this Guy?"

I picked up the merchant's body and showed him to Tigreal. He looks intrigued on him. He was looking at the mark at the merchant's arm.

"I know that symbol...The Abyss" Tigreal said

"The Abyss?"

First thing on my mind went on was this, guy is part of a dark group or clan or something. They might use Lunox for some dark purpose or something. World domination? That orb's useless now because its now broken. No money for me I guess.

I looked at Tigreal, he was in deep thought. I think he wants to convince Lunox into coming with him to the Empire. Geez don't force her. Its her decision right?

"Guards! Come down now!" Tigreal commanded

They quickly went down. Such diligent soldiers I must imply

"Help me carry that orb!" Tigreal shouted.

"Yes Sir!" The guards said and rushed towards the orb

I think they will move and carry the orb to the Empire. Okay that is a very long walk and very tiring I must say. But still they insisted on doing so.

"Sir! Its too heavy"

"Yes, its true Sir we can't carry it"

Said the Strong Soldiers

"How can we move this orb!"

"Lunox come out of there!"

Tigreal commanded Lunox but she didn't replied back.

There was no use on moving her. Then I got bored on them trying to move it away from the Pit but then....

"What was that?" The Guard said

There was an intensing tremble from the Earth. It was getting stronger and stronger and we and the Soldiers fell into the ground. Then the sky went full dark. We became very anxiously worried that the sky went dark.

Then the orb suddenly opened and Lunox went out. She was glowing and we couldn't do a thing. She walked towards the dark spot. Showing her true brightness to us. It was overflowing with power and intensity.

Then in the dark clouds. A silhouette came down upon us and we are shocked from what was below with us.

It revealed itself and we, and even Tigreal was in fear when we saw who it was.

"Hello boys!"

"Alice, we meet once more" Tigreal said

"Well, if you'd let me dilly-dally over, we can finish this very quickly." Alice boasted.

"You, Evil witch. Why are you here?" Tigreal replied

"Is it not obvious dear? I come for her!" Alice as she pointed the dazzling Lunox.

She quickly went over Lunox and whispered in her ear. Lunox then closed her eyes. Alice then faced us.

"Now, we have some business with Lunox so I guess I shouldn't leave all of you unaccompanied?"

She then Summons a Demon army and Revives the cold bodied merchant.

"Moskov, Lead them and rip them into pieces" Alice commanded to her General.

"As you wish, mistress" Moskov agreed.

Armies of Demons suddenly appeared on the edges of the Pit. They were Hundreds and we are clearly outnumbered.

"Guards! Fend off the Army! I'll take care of Alice" Tigreal rushed

"Aye! Sir." Guards rushed towards the army.

To be honest, they are no match for that army good thing I am here. I may be wounded but I can still fight. Me and dexter are the duo that can wipe them out.

"Hey Dexter!"

"Ouh-Ih?" Dexter replied

"You thinking what I'm thinking?"

Dexter jumped on my shoulder and we went in the fray of the army.

"LET'S GET STARTED!"

I shouted while we wipe the grins on the demons and as the Soldiers fight with me. I actually hate the Soldiers but its more fun blasting monsters than hating the Empire. Huh makes me wanna join them. How weird.

~Tigreal's POV~

I can hear the gunshots up the Pit and I have faith on my Soldiers and on that Thief. I know the have the guts to survive that. I believe.

I have to get Lunox and get her away from that Witch or she will bring fear and chaos into the Empire. I have to stop her.

I saw Lunox standing in the open in the Pit. I was wondering where is Alice. I looked and she wasn't there. I rapidly went to Lunox and I heard a footstep behind me.

"Dear, How foolish of you to come here." Alice said

"She will never fall into the hands of you."

"I'm so sorry then.." Alice replied

She then clawed my face then pushed me to into the spiked corner. It pierced my armor and I saw blood from my own armor. I wouldn't let it pass but before I could stand up she already triggered Lunox.

Lunox was glowing. Glowing in darkness. She was releasing chaotic energy. Alice was very pleased with the scenario. She was rejoyced and was ready to hold Lunox. But then something happened.

"Dear, Lunox come near for I have summoned you" Alice said

"I was expecting you to come after my sleep." Lunox calmly replied.

Alice then whispered on Lunox's ear

"In Chaos, we conquer all that is living"

Lunox then began chanting the whispered words. She glow even more dark. Purple and Black lights are coming out of her wings. And she was chanting continuously without stopping. Alice seems to be overwhelmed and for the first time showing fear.

"Now show me your power! Dominate and Conquer!" Alice shouted.

I was in terror while witnessing the scene. I was trembling. I couldn't stand up. My whole body is immobilized from the sight and so is Alice.

And then a surge of Light went on to the whole Maze and everything went black.
