2 Chapter 2

Lindra was having a lot of thoughts occupied her mind sitting at the cafe. Finally after sorted out a bit, she looks at her father, who disappeared like a wind. She was surprised when she found out at the store that the uncle who helps her was actually her father. It seems her father cannot recognize her at all.

How can one be so irresponsible? She somehow hates her father and also loves him. How can someone be so unfeeling to his family like nothing happens and be okay with it? Also, how can he stay so many years not contacting them, not even asking if they are fine or not and be okay with it? She can't understand at all. Looking at the expressionless man, who is called Father in front of her, she felt a lot of kinds of emotions and have a lot of questions for him.

Leon was also thinking about the main storyline. The storyline was about to start. He can feel it. Although he doesn't know the details of it, he intuitively knows it. Aiya, his family daughter was too awesome that she was a female lead. He somehow felt a bit excited for the storyline.

Right now he needs to fix the family issue in front of him which is like a bomb. He needs to re-talk with his ex-wife too. Also need to apologize and etc. He felt his headache thinking about wife and daughter.

His wife is a very gentle lady but a stubborn woman. It's isn't wrong to call her iron lady at all. That's how strong his wife mentality is if she faces problems. Back then, when she found out the gambling addiction, she was firm and ruthless enough to cut ties with him for her daughter's future. He was indeed a bit impressed if not have admiration for her. He also knows that she can be sometimes weak too. Thus, he was sure that she also suffers a lot when cutting ties with him. It's just she didn't show on her face.

After cutting ties the past him did not even look at her and reside here. Indeed, the past soul was more ruthless than the lady. He was pretty sure it will take a lot of patience to solve this family issue. While he is thinking all this, the staring girl in front of him started to speak.

"Father"

She called out with a bit of coldness. He also looks at the girl what's she gonna talk.

Lindra who was thinking which question to ask first was a bit angry with the nonchalant expression of her father.

"How are you in these years?"

His first trial with his daughter, Lindra started. He can't answer wrongly or he will be a goner in this world. After all, his family daughter was so cool that she was a female lead and he was cannon fodder. Wrong answer and he will not find out how he died. The world laws are watching over them and his back was already cold from it.

The devilish handsome man with expressionless face turned into thinking face and started to speak. Lindra can't lie. She was even amazed by her own dad's handsomeness. Oops, we have gone off topics.

"You know, after your mother and I break off, I was angry. I was angry at how can she be ruthless enough to say that she's cutting ties with me. Thus, I never look back and come and stay here."

The man looked at the distance rethinking the past while his daughter was listening.

"After a few years, I came to understand that she was right to cut ties with me. I can't help myself. I am seriously addicted to gambling and cannot stop it at all. If she did not cut tie with me back then, your future, family future will be bleak."

Leon looked a bit sad re-talking the past.

"Along with gambling, I also started to drink and smoke. My life was bland and hopeless. I know for sure that I might make you both suffer even more if you both saw the situation. Thus, I decided to never contact with you both. It's better for you to live life happily without me. With me in the picture, both of you will even suffer more."

Lindra's face turned into thoughtful expression, then turned sad, then angered. Her face showed a lot of emotions right now but Leon was sure that no emotions on her face can be considered good, only bitter suffering.

"All these years, I even look like a wasted pig who do anything except good."

Leon stopped for a moment drinking the coffee in front of him which is turned a bit cold.

"Then you turned into a new leaf looking like this right now?"

Lindra asks while also drinking a bit of her tea.

Leon smiled and said.

"What do you think about why I changed?"

"Did you meet new love?"

Lindra asks with sure tone.

Black lines formed on Leon's forehead.

"No. I won't dare to do that"

Leon talks with horror expression. If his wife knows it, wouldn't he get thrashed? Even if he suffered bad addictions, his wife wouldn't make that much of a scene. But if he finds another woman behind her back, his life can be called anything but alive. He was sure she will certainly kill him. That woman is lunatic. What she hated the most is betrayal.

Lindra looked at her father's horror stuck expression and found it a little funny. That man seems insensitive but he still knows to be loyal even if her mother and he break off. It seems some scene in the past make him cannot find another woman behind her mother's back.

She also thinks about whether to give a lesson to her husband about what will happen if he betrays with another woman like her mother when she marries.

Looking at her father's expression, she finds him less insensitive. Her first impression on her father is a very insensitive and irresponsible man who had no feelings toward both her and her mother. Now she thinks he dares to do anything but betray her mother with another woman. She was impressed with her mother's skills.

"It's because I think it's enough. I felt pathetic living like this. I don't have any obvious reason for turning a new leaf. Like some unknown force is telling me to stop and somehow, I was able to stop. Whether you believe it or not is your part. But I am pretty sure that it's anything but betrayal"

Lindra found it funny how he was insecure about betrayal. But she was also happy that he was able to stop the addiction. But that cannot explain the question about whether he cares about them or not. He was only retelling about his addiction and how he stops it.
