7 Chapter 5: Welcome to Baothien, Realisation Sinks In

⟨MC POV – 'Touya'⟩

It has been a few hours since Ayumi had a panic attack caused by her Social Anxiety Disorder, fortunately I managed to calm her down.

I am glad she is feeling better.

I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Mr Kurogane, how is your sister feeling? I hope she is doing better".

"Oh, Sasaki-Sensei… why yes, Ayumi is feeling a little better than she was, she just needs some time".

"Thank goodness, I was so worried about her, if there is anything either of you need, don't hesitate to ask".

"Thank you, Sensei, do you know what is going on, or what will happen to us".

Sasaki-Sensei put her hand to her chin, so she is thinking about something.

"Earlier, while you and your sister were sleeping, I went to ask one of those robed people, 'what is going to happen to us?', all they would say was that someone will come and talk to us".

I wonder when they'll come and talk to us, I guess they're waiting for the students that passed out to wake up, and for all of us to be in a calmer state of mind, compared to when we got here, everyone was worked up.

At least it seems like all the students are awake, and in a calmer state than they were, it is not like everyone will be completely calm, we are not exactly in a situation where that is possible.

"Sasaki-Sensei, how are the other students coping with this situation?" I enquired about the students.

"Oh… Well… That is, erm…" Sasaki-Sensei had a grim look on her face, while looking down, after a few seconds, she took a deep breath, then continued.

"The students are frightened; they've managed to calm down a lot compared to what they were, there isn't much I can do for them, except to be here for them if they need to talk" Sasaki-Sensei is showing an awkward smile.

Sasaki-Sensei seems like she is a little strained herself, I guess it's about time I go and talk to some–

"S-Sensei, Sensei" screamed one of the students, running straight for Sasaki-Sensei.

I pay attention to see what's going on, the same as the rest of the students; Ayumi grabs on to my hand and arm, unnerved by the shouting.

"What is it… What's wrong Miss Takahashi …" questioned Sasaki-Sensei.

Takahashi-Chan ran up to and grabbed on to Sensei, then she tried to continue.

"Sensei, it doesn't make any sense, there are two of them, there shouldn't be two, there should only be one" yelled Takahashi, with slightly crazed eyes.

Sasaki-Sensei held on to Takahashi, preventing her from dropping to her knees.

"Miss Takahashi-Chan, I need you to explain what you mean! What did you mean by 'there are two of them', I don't understand" exclaimed Sasaki-Sensei with a confused look on her face.

Takahashi looked into her Sensei's eyes, she took a deep breath and then tried to explain what she meant in a strained half whisper.

"Sun… Outside… Two… No two… Should be one…" cried Takahashi with slithers of words, which were hard to make out.

Sasaki-Sensei was quiet for a moment as she thought over the words that Takahashi conveyed.

"Miss Takahashi, I'm not sure I completely understand what you are trying to tell me, I–" I put my hand out to Sasaki-Sensei, stopping her mid-sentence.

"Sensei, I think that I might have understood Miss Takahashi, if I am not mistaken, I believe that what she was trying to say was that there are two suns outside, and so if that is the case, then that woman's claims that this is a different world that that of the one we came from, would seem to be substantiated with this information" I explained what I understood to be what Takahashi meant.

Sasaki-Sensei's face went extremely pale at the thought of no longer being on our own world. She took a long and slow deep breath and went on to start to speak.

"Mr Kurogane, let me get this straight, so you are saying that because Miss Takahashi told us that there are two suns outside, that means that woman was telling us the truth that we are not on earth anymore?" Sasaki-Sensei wobbly replied back to me.

"That's exactly what I'm saying, and she also mentioned that magic was used to bring us here, so I guess it wouldn't be a long shot to say that she was telling the truth that magic exists in this world as well".

I can see many pale faced people around me, I've got a feeling some of them may succumb to their fears.

'Ayumi is going to have it worse than the others with her anxiety, I'm gonna have to ke–' before I could finish my thought, I heard a voice coming from the doorway.

"…"
