4 Chapter Four: Light Weight

Raven and Mika always seemed to argue in the third block class. They went back and forth verbally attacking each other with snide comments, Eve even started showing up in the class eventually. Seeing him made my blood boil but I knew where I stood.

For lunch we all met on the rooftop to eat and hang out and even Raven and Eve began to join us, they seemed to like each other quite well. Zero seemed to eat so much food yet no matter how much he ate, his features still stayed the same. He is so thin you can see the bone joins on his fingers and wrists and I'm sure you can even see his rib cage if I were to just see him without a shirt. As for Mika, she would hold onto my arm pressing her C-cup chest into my arm making me blush.

Every so often in classes and at lunch Raven would pull me to the side, and remind me that Mika was a snake. I tried to deny it but deep down I wanted to trust at least someone even if it meant we were gonna face each other in the arena one day.

In my fourth block I had gym class. Most of the time I just sat back and watched the girls, who would come over as I trained and leave one after the other except Mika who always stayed around. In P.E. we all spared except for her, she watched me closely even more so than the other girls who would steal my gym towels or would look at my body in awe and amazement as I trained.

I soon noticed she was always fixated on my fighting style and movements and she would ask me where I learned to fight like that. It wasn't long before I started to guess what she was doing and realized that Raven was right all along. I didn't like the idea and in fact I hated it, but I knew I had to confront her about it, hoping I was wrong. "WHAT?!" She yelled in anger. She looked flustered, her face was red. "H-How dare you think such things!"

"I meant no harm to it Mika, just you seemed to be studying me so well. I want to see what you have learned from it all in a real fight." she was not amused at this, in fact that she knew that I figured her out so fast. She gritted her teeth, her face could tell she needed more time. However, I wasn't going to give it to her and I don't plan on dying, not even by her hands. Not now and not when I have things to attend to elsewhere. I had a mission to finish what I started with Eve but I had to safely deal with her first. "So what do you say to some friendly sparring?"

It took a minute before she sighed. "Fine you want a spar, I will give it to you.." She said smiling at me but with rage in her eyes and then stormed away. I was a bit worried I would hurt her but I wasn't going to fall for her trap even in my state of injury. When we went to P.E the next day I looked at her from across the room in silence, 'This wasn't good; if I went all out I could hurt her and myself.' I thought to myself as I walked up to her with a fake smile on my face.

But as the days went on in this place my smiles grew faker and weaker. "Hey there big man, you really wanna fight a girl?" People began to attack me over it like I was picking on her on purpose. My reply was always the same each time I was asked, "It's just a friendly sparring match." The day finally came where she felt ready enough to fight me, "I hope that after all this we can still be friends." I told her as we circled each other. I gripped my new scythe tightly, my good eye focused on her weak spots. 'Aim for the legs, take them out, break them at the knee, don't cut them off, after that move behind and hit her back and make her fall, hold my scythe to her neck and it'll be over.' My plan was set, end it fast and don't kill her.

"After I kick your ass and break that pretty face of yours maybe you'll think otherwise and love ME instead!" She replied with a smile that was no longer friendly as she blew a kiss at me. Before the bell could ring Raven stepped in and stopped the fight, putting herself between me and Mika. 'Oh god this is gonna be bad.'

"Mika you think Kimora will like you if you beat him?! That's not how it works, you need to think that he would like you if you just made sense to people and stopped thinking you're the best!" she said angrily at Mika.

"Oh well if it isn't little miss "savior" coming to rescue poor little Kimora! Well if you haven't caught wind of it and realize that I am the best and I'm better than him and you combined!" She replied with a sadistic smile. "Just for the record he's going to be mine, so if you want to take him away you'll have to just kill me!"

"I can do just that you bitch!" Raven yelled angrily at Mika readying her swords with a stance to kill as Mika also prepared herself to attack her at any moment.

"H-Hey why not just talk about this first..?" I asked but I got both raging women staring at me and in a unison voice of anger

"NOT NOW KIMORA!!" I winced but knew it was too late to stop them.

The headmaster wasted no time in making it an official fight. Having no choice I went and sat in the bleachers 'I can't believe this is happening..' thinking to myself sitting there to now watch them fight. I felt bad for Raven because she was so small it wasn't even really fair. The students that heard quickly followed suit and gathered in the gym.

The two girls got ready to fight. They smiled and made snide comments at each other and all I could do just sit there in the stands and watch. I didn't want to fight anyway and I'm still not in good enough condition to either. It made me realize that I wasn't ready to battle someone just yet, my wounds were still sore and my head was pounding.

The girls heard the bell and started to attack. They both hit each other in an instant and I barely saw them collide for it was so fast, like flashes of lights as they moved so swifty. The area filled with the sound of metal clinging as they swung their weapons at each other. Their speed was something to admire though, but I was not impressed enough to count them as an equal to me or that of Eve. It seemed as if the world moved slower to them, they seemed to not notice that we could not really see them but they could care less right now.

In an instant they stopped, tired and cut up, they seemed to be even. But it wasn't over yet they would go until the end. They charged at the same time and drew their blades. Raven pulled her blade and sheath attacking with both, but It was like Raven wasn't even trying then I saw it. In a moment Raven was faster then purposely slowed down. Did she hurt Mika? But how was she seemed too small and didn't seem she was doing any damage to have injured Mika enough in any real way without a cut of some sort and there was no blood. 'So how did she do it?' I asked myself. I watched as Raven's blade cut Mika's side. I'm sure I'm the only one I could see her do it, well I thought I was. From the corner of my good eye I saw him. A low growl left my throat as I looked over my shoulder.

"Neat little trick she did there." Eve spoke up sitting as he sat down besides me. "It's her swords, they are enchanted with wind runes; with them she's as light as a feather not to mention she's small so that it adds to her agility. Man she's limber, I wonder what she's like in bed?" He smiled a bit and looked at me, cocking an eyebrow.

His smile quickly fades as he looks over to hear another ring of the swords colliding. His hair began to brissel and my eyes followed. There stood a tall male with no shirt on, his eyes red as he leaned against the wall. That had to be the guy Mika was obsessed talking about who has 'the god-king' title.

Raven swung again, cutting Mika and screams of pain filled the room, Mika fell to the ground. It was finally over, I didn't like it but it was over and no one was hurt too bad or worse dead. Raven put her weapon away and turned to leave. "Y-Your coward Raven.." Mika tried to stand up. "I'll kill you, I'm not done yet and if you don't kill me..I'll come after you until one of us is dead!" Raven looked back and watched as the girl stood up leaning on her sword. Mika ran up to Raven slowly swinging her sword wildly missing every time.

Raven stabs her and twists the short hidden blade into Mika as her breath escapes her, with her body going limp "Ha..See all your talking ends in death.." Raven laughed, pulling out her blade out and wiping it off. "In the end you were too slow and weak, I even took it easy on you." Raven looked back at me and smiled. What's with these girls? Are they all crazy like this?

That night I couldn't sleep, I laid in bed awake imagining Mika's face even though she was a nutcase, I felt kinda bad for her. I played the fight over and over in my head on how it ended with Mika's body on the floor with her blood pouring onto the sand floor, it was like a haunting nightmare that wouldn't leave my mind.

The next day I sat alone avoiding all the girls and Eve. I needed time to myself to think, I wasn't worried about much. But it stung a little that I actually liked Mika in a weird way, I had seen it before though and in the real world people pushed to prove themselves even if it meant dying because they can't quit. To them, they needed to prove that they can go a bit more by pushing themselves harder and harder to the point where it leads to their death.

That's what ate at me from the inside. I've seen it before and their actions replayed over and over in my head. I was losing my mind, I even noticed parts of my memories were gone or non-existent. I feel all I have left was the bad times and none of the good. My brother is missing, my sister dead, mom and dad long past dead. What am I even doing in life?

Finally Raven and Eve snapped me out of my trance. "Hey buddy." Eve spoke up "You know I never said good job did I?" I shook my head no. "Well you did man, you almost had me in that fight you must have grown a lot. How long has it been now? Three months you've been here?"

"Yeah three months and six days to be exact." I replied coldly as I looked down at their feet.

"Come on bro let's get some food we need to talk about God's bigger plan." I followed them to the roof where we spoke for hours about life and getting to know each other as we started joking and laughing, we really started to bond as friends.

Several weeks have passed since then and I feel like we all became good friends Zero, Eve, Raven, and I. We ate together, studied together, hung out together and we even started killing together. I didn't truly realize just how good Raven is and how she could out manoeuvre just about anyone. Eve was so strong and swift that no one could match his power. I even felt like I was actually getting stronger and a new feeling of power that started to swell, it was like nothing I've felt before.

Even so I knew fear but didn't realize on that day, I met my biggest fear of all.. As I was walking down the hall Eve and I noticed a boy with medium black hair, wearing all black and a large frown on his face. He noticed us and I froze with fear, his eyes red staring at me that looked cold as ice. He walked past and I knew in my gut he was going to kill me, I got to know the name people called him. His name is Alex, short for Alexander named after Alexander the Great, and he was above all others sitting at the top of the charts. They called him a demon but people refuse to call him that to his face. The last person who did suffered greatly.

I looked down, kept quiet and let him pass. See being at the top meant this was basically his school and he could do as he pleased and I wasn't about to argue with him.
