1 prologue

"I, Kuramoto Haruto, had been leading the same everyday life in high school as always.

"Good morning! ...Oh, he's here!"

"Hey, that guy is here."

"Ugh, there's an otaku here. Gross!"

...Yes, this is the everyday life that hasn't changed for me. Why am I like this? Well, I have two otaku tendencies - I'm a fan of both idols and anime. These otaku hobbies became a source of repulsion for the normies, leading to mockery, gossip, and exclusion.

And then, a while ago, they picked a fight with me. They didn't like it when I told them to stop making fun of me. So they attacked me while clicking their tongues. However, since I had learned gun handling and combat from my mentor, who was part of the Thai Navy Special Forces, I fought back and things turned out this way.

"That guy is reading light novels again in the morning. He's a real otaku."

"Seriously, wouldn't it be better if that guy just died?"

"Agreed."

"I wish he would just die."

"I understand that feeling."

Ugh... They're saying it as if they want me to hear. They stopped physically bothering me after I gave them a taste of their own medicine, but I wonder if they're not embarrassed to talk like this?

Isn't this what they call the howling of a loser? Moreover, everyone else is saying the same things as them. Just how much...

"Good day, Mr. Kuramoto. I wonder why you're here. You're quite a nuisance. Would you kindly disappear from here?"

There she is. The rich girl, Inose Masumi. She was born into a famous wealthy family but failed the entrance exams for the prestigious comprehensive school twice and ended up like this. Now, she's been abandoned by her parents or something.

"Shall I explain it in simpler terms?"

"What are you talking about?"

Let me say one thing to this foolish rich girl.

"Why don't you transfer to that comprehensive school after summer break? Well, whether you pass or not is up to you."

Grr! She's glaring at me with furrowed brows and grinding her teeth. She really has a short fuse.

"And high school is a place you attend of your own free will. Whether I go or not is my decision. Besides, this isn't your company, is it? Are you in a position to tell me to quit? If you keep doing this, you'll get dissed in some magazine again, won't you? Are you doing this intentionally? In that case, there's no other word for you but 'fool.'"

Indeed, my recent exposé in the newspaper about what she's been up to at this school, or rather, the scandals she's been involved in, resulted in social consequences. However, she hasn't learned her lesson and remains unapologetic, even openly defying me. She left without apologizing, still acting as if she did nothing wrong.

"Sigh..."

"Why are you sighing?"

"Well... Your parents are having a hard time, I thought."

"Huh? What are you talking about?"

I thought of explaining it to her, but just then, the school bell rang.

"Alright, everyone, take your seats; I'm taking attendance!"

Ono Motohisa, our completely useless homeroom teacher. Why is he useless? Because he knows about the bullying happening in his class and does nothing about it. Yes, he knows but turns a blind eye, thinking he can ignore it as long as he doesn't become a victim.

"Everyone's in their seats. Now... What? What is this?!"

As the teacher raised his eyes, he let out an astonished cry, and I looked up to see a mysterious image, like a picture with countless characters written inside a large circle, projected on the ceiling.

Projection mapping? No, that's not it! There's no way this clear of projection mapping would appear in the classroom's brightness! Then, what is that...?

"What is this!"

"What on earth!?"

"Could this be... an otherworldly transfer...?!"

"Huh?... Damn it, the door won't open!"

Yes, somehow, a magic circle had been drawn on the ceiling.

Huh?! No way... Seriously!? Are we going to be transferred to another world with these guys?

No, no, no! I'd rather be alone than with these guys! In fact, I'd be fine with just reading light novels for otherworldly experiences!

Since the door and windows don't seem to be opening, umm... I guess I'll try to hang onto the blackboard's ledge to avoid the otherworldly transfer! Can I even avoid it?

"Hey, don't push!"

"Come on, open it already!"

"You guys heard me say the door won't open earlier, right?"

"I'll open it, so move!"

"I'm going to become a hero and save the world... I'm going to make my dream harem a reality!"

...There's one person who stands out, but I'll ignore that for now. That person must be one of the same kind.

As we were all fussing about, the light grew stronger, and when it reached the point where I couldn't open my eyes, I lost consciousness.

...Huh, where is this?

"This is... the Heavenly Realm, where God resides."

The boy in front of me spoke while looking at me. It was too sudden, and honestly, it scared me.

Maybe this kid is God. Then, he'll probably give me some special powers and that'll be it.

"Oh, I thought I'd say, 'I want you to become a hero and save the world,' but your situation is a bit different."

What do you mean? And are you not reading my thoughts? Because you're God?

"It seems like you don't understand your current situation."

Current situation? Come to think of it, my body feels light, and it's like I'm floating... Do I have a fever?

"It's not that. You see, you... have died."

Huh? What are you talking about? I'm alive and well...

I tried to place my hand on my chest, but I didn't feel anything. In fact, I couldn't even feel the sensation of moving my arm.

"You finally realized. Yes, you died because of a failed transfer."

What?! No wayyyyy?!
