50 Chapter 49 - Universal language.

This new ability is precisely what I need to communicate with Kumoko. But can she talk to me? 

'I'm a bit nervous...'

Kumoko was staring at me, waiting for me to do something or write something for her to read. I moved closer and tried to talk to her using my new skill.

'Can you hear me?

I said it to her, hoping she would understand.

And then, I saw Kumoko's eyes light up. She started waving wildly at me, agreeing that she could hear me.

'Unfortunately, I can't hear you. You need a telepathy skill like mine. Can't you buy it in the store?'

After my question, Kumoko tilted her head in confusion. Then she concentrated on looking for the skill. And to my surprise, she spent her points. I didn't think she would do that.

I saw her Status earlier. I noticed that she had some points.

'Can you hear me?' Then I heard a voice in my head. It was a soft female voice without much feeling. I was shocked for a few seconds because her voice differed from what I had imagined.

It's not the same as in the anime. Kumoko doesn't have the voice of that voice actress. Her voice is much softer and more robotic, which differs from what I expected. However, her voice is stunning.

'Yes, I can hear you. How does my voice sound to you?'

'It's a male voice, but it's strange. It sounds like an old man's voice.'

'Hey, that offends me. I'm not an old man.'

'...'

'But I'm surprised you can talk to me so easily. Your telepathy skill is still at level one, isn't it?

'Yes, but I can talk to you normally. And now that I can talk to you, I want to ask you who you are. Were you in my classroom? Were you in the same school as me?'
