Sitting on a comfortable sofa, the woman smiled as she watched the giant spider hit Queen Taratect with all his might. Watching the spider fight for his life was amusing.

But it still wasn't enough for her.

"He'll probably manage to escape..." The woman said in a low voice. She watched everything intently.

Then, suddenly, the giant spider got even faster, surpassing Queen Taratect's speed.

The woman already knew what he could do because of his previous fight against a giant snake.

He could change his strength, agility, defense, and magic. It could make everything as it pleased...

This made the smile on the woman's face grow. 

"Why didn't I think of a skill like that before? This could be fun."

The woman stood up and picked up a cup of tea.

"I wonder what he's going to do now?"

The giant spider was staring at Queen Taratect. Then, the two of them ran towards each other.

*Change of POV*

Queen Taratect ran towards me. Then I ran forward, too.

We approached each other instantly. And then... I dodged the only attack she made and passed to her right, passed between her and the wall.

She realized my goal, so she started to act. I have to do this quickly.

I reached the hole where Kumoko was and...

'She's here!' To my surprise, Kumoko was near the exit. She looked at me, and I gestured for her to leave quickly. However, she didn't understand me and walked back slowly.

And then...

I felt a chill run down my "spine" and started running. My mother was right behind me.

I have to take her somewhere further away. So I kept running. I don't know how long I ran, but it was for a few kilometers.

My mother continued to follow me as she crashed into the labyrinth's walls and made everything shake.

'This giant monster!'

And then she lost patience.

I felt something dangerous coming.

And then a magic was coming in my direction.

'Shit!' I managed to avoid it narrowly. It was black magic that I couldn't decipher what it was. It crashed into the labyrinth wall and caused a lot of damage. I would be killed.

Now, I can finally stay calm.

'Fuck! System!' So I deactivated the edit I'd made to my speed for just a second and then edited it again, but this time to 30,000. But even though it took me a second, it was enough for me to be hit by my mother.

I turned to face her so that Kumoko wouldn't get hit.

My mother managed to hit me with one of her legs. Fortunately, she didn't use poison or any other magic.

I flew away, grabbed Kumoko, and protected her with my legs. I then crashed into the wall of the labyrinth.

So I threw Kumoko away and tried to run, but I was hit by the magic anyway. As soon as I was hit, I felt an intense pain throughout my body. I'm going to die!

It was as if my soul was shattering. No injuries were caused, but I feel much pain.

'Wait, that's it, Heretic Magic!' My soul is going to be destroyed? Are you kidding me?

I began to despair for a few seconds but to my relief. 

The pain disappeared completely.

'What is it? Was it a hallucination or something?'

Before I had time to think about what was happening, my mother approached again, but this time, I managed to avoid her attack. I realized that Kumoko had already fled. Thank god!

'I hope you don't go after Kumoko after killing me.'

Seriously, I didn't see how I could escape from this thing.
