Where did it all go wrong?

KRYSTAL'S POV.

"Where did it all go wrong?" I thought to myself as I watched Starr carefully strut down the hallway of the school showing off her long slender legs, perfect height and the best facial features anyone could ever imagine. She passed by me and, ignoring me like I never existed in the first place. This may be a little shocking but, Starr and I used to be best friends!! It was weird that she wanted to keep our friendship a secret but I went with whatever she wanted because what are friends for right?

You might be wondering how we became best friends in the first place....well, I hope you're ready to go on this emotional roller coaster.The thing is, I used to get bullied a lot because the kids at school though that my looks were undeserving of proper attention and friendship. Funny enough, Starr always came to me rescue when I needed help the most. So, automatically I thought she liked me genuinely. In any case, after she saved me a few times and even helped me to the infirmary we exchanged phone numbers. Turns out, we actually live next to eachother. After hanging out with her a few times at my house I started to think she was a really nice person.

The twist of this our supposed friendship was that, the other kids at school didn't know that we were best friends.There was this incident that happened, Starr came over to my house one day and saw a pair of earrings that were a limited edition, and of course she asked me for it. Definitely, I gave the earrings to her and she wore them to school the next day. Her popularity obviously grew more and more, as she continued to ask me for more luxury brands to wear to school.

Was she just using me?

Was the friendship just one sided? It all felt unreal and unbelievable.....my naive self still wanted to hang out with her. At least, I thought she was my friend.

One day, I gathered all the courage I had to confront her.

I walked over to the kitchen at my house where Starr was making ice cream for us and told her "Hey, what do you think about telling the kids at school about our friendship? Or....are you ashamed of me?" With eyes that looked sincere, she replied "I don't have any problem with it, I just thought you'd be uncomfortable with it. In fact, I'm supposed to hang out with my other friends by 6pm today, would you like to come along?"

I was too startled to speak but I managed to get words out of my mouth.

I told her with shaky hands "What would your other friends think? I'm not exactly very good looking and qualified to hang out with you guys"

"Tch, tch" she said. "Krystal, you are beautiful and I don't know why you think otherwise"

I just kept looking at her....but she continued speaking "When I'm done with the ice cream, we'll dress up to go out"

I nodded in agreement and 15 minutes later, she was done with the ice cream mix as she kept it in the freezer.

After hours of scanning through my wardrobe Starr came to the conclusion that my wardrobe was hopeless, lol. So we went over to her house to get dressed.

About four hours we finally finished dressing up. What did we wear?

I wore an off-shoulder long sleeved crop top with high waisted jeans finally with sneakers that belong to me....actually, I have a lot of shoes, I'm just hopeless when it comes to clothes.

As for Starr...what did she wear?

Let's not even explain what she wore.

"Omg it's 7pm Starr...weren't you supposed to meet your friends by 6pm" I exclaimed.

And she replied "Chill out, the party doesn't start till 9pm"

Wait...what 9pm? Party? I don't understand...what's going on?

"What party is it? I've never been to a party....what will people think? That I'm trying to feel among? Omg...what if they start to talk about me at school?" I started to panic.

Starr, on the other hand was cool about it.

And then she said his name....HIS NAME?!?!

"Xavier will be there bestie" she said with a smirk.

Xavier is my crush!!! I haven't told anyone but i think Starr might have just guessed. Anyways that's even the more reason why I should panic. But why should I panic...I look pretty right? Right? And it's not like Xavier will notice me but...if he does, I still look pretty.

We decided to go in my car (yes I can drive and I have a car guys...it's something I don't tell people but my parents are actually very rich).

We got to the party after a 30minute drive....and I was awed!!!

How can so many people be in one house?

But omg guys....this house was huge!!!

I turned to Starr and asked her "Whose house is this?"

And she replied, "Definitely Xavier's house"

I was startled because what??? Xavier's house? I might just faint at the sight if this palace! Is he like royalty or something?

Immediately we entered the house...over the loud music someone shouted "WHO WANTS TO PLAY SEVEN MINUTES IN HEAVEN??"

Everyone was so engrossed in the party so only 8 people answered him until Starr dragged me along with her. So yeah....nine people.

One more person came out to play...y'all can already guess who...it was Xavier!!! Omg this must be a dream!

We all sat in a circle to play the game starting with spin the bottle .

Fun fact: no one recognised me because of the make up on my face.....at least that was what I thought.

The game started and after about five spins the bottle pointed at me and uhm as for the other side, it landed on Xavier!!! Is the universe trying to tell me something or not?? Are we soulmates or what? I'm overthinking again...it is only a stupid game.

Everyone pushed Xavier and I into 'the room' for the seven minutes.

When we entered I mumbled to myself "what am I supposed to do for seven minutes with him?"

I think he heard me.....he started to approach me and his features looked more amazing as he got closer to me. His grey eyes, awesome brown hair, extremely pink lips....trust me, I am internally SCREAMING. I started to feel them butterflies in my stomach.

He got so close that I finally hit a wall, and then he asked me a question that I never thought he'd ask "Can I kiss you?"

My legs immediately became as weak as jelly and I stood there staring at him.....and then BOOM! without waiting for my answer his lips landed on mine.

Omg...my first kiss!
