12 Chapter 11: Misunderstandings

As they stood staring at each other from across the room, both feeling confused, Kryscht also felt like he was being scolded. "I was scared you left me here." She whispered. Kryscht walked up to her and handed her the few items that he could salvage from her home. As she looked at the shawl her mother had made her, and the dress her father had worked himself sick for, silent tears began rolling down her cheeks. "I'm sorry Kryscht, all I knew was I was alone and scared. I should not have taken it out on you." She said, with her head hanging down so low that her chin touched her chest. He stepped closer, cupping her chin in his hand, forcing her to meet his eyes as he told her, "I'm sorry that I made you feel abandoned, this was all I could salvage."

Just then his servant brought a tray filled with food into the room. Kryscht motioned towards the the table, and told him to set it down and leave. His eyes never left hers. After his servant left the room, he captured her lips with his, taking her fury, sadness, and every emotion she would give him. As she tore herself away from his kiss, she said, "Kryscht,
