As I lay in bed, dreaming about God knows what, I suddenly remembered that I had a practical at 2pm and the time was 10 minutes before 2.

Of course it can only be me who is always late for everything, but I still panicked regardless. I hurriedly grabbed my tools and sprung to the venue.

I must say, getting to a practical 10 minutes late is quite the improvement when compared to my usual tardiness.

As I rushed in, I bumped into him, the most annoying person ever, a male who calls himself my "best friend".

"Kay, my everlasting love, how are you?". "argh! Quit with the jibber jabber Jeffrey, I have physics to murder me, I don't need you giving me a headache right now"

"girl, be positive for once plus you really have to start appreciating my presence in your life or one day you'll wake up and you'll find me right there!".

I laughed at his fairly good attempt at comedy.

As we took our seats along with every face we'll be seeing for the rest of the semester, I turned my head to scan the room and as I was about to finish, my eyes landed on the most handsome face my eyes have ever seen.

Don't get me wrong, he's not those cliché drop dead gorgeous novel guys, he was my type of handsome.

From a distance I couldn't see him in detail but he was gorgeous. Luckily for me, we were in the same group( an early Christmas present).

Though I must admit, as much as I tried, I couldn't take my eyes off of him. Jeff seemed to notice my dilemma and said, "if you look at him any longer, I'm sure along with everyone, he will see the red hearts in your eyes",

"shut your dirty mouth boy" I said, trying to sound as American as I could.

As I took a closer look, I realized my eyes did him no justice. He was like sex on a stick, a handsomely cute devil sent to torment weaklings like myself!.

He had a smile that made me weak in the knees, his eyes were a dark shade of sparkly brown and he had this mischievous aura that invited a person in.

The boy put on ripped black jeans, a casual black t-shirt and a, "I don't give a damn" attitude. He just had an "I'll break your heart" kinda vibe and unfortunately I was a sucker for bad boys.

As I was yet again lost in my own little bubble, Jeffrey the terrible, had to snap me out of it. The practical continued, and after the longest three hours of my life, the torture was over and I went back to my room.

I have been in this university for barely a month and I'd already found my next eye candy, damn the universe doesn't want me to chill, and of course I don't mind at all.

After evening prayer, my roommate asked how my first day was and I responded with a nonchalant, "it was okay", knowing fully well that was far from the truth. This is going to be an eventful year, I thought, as I drifted off to sleep...
