21 The Beginning of The End!

Hearing Arthur, everyone else had the same thought going through their mind.

"He really shouldn't have said that." All of the others thought at the same time while shaking their heads and biting their lips.

The martial master, the strongest man on Earth, the brotherly powerhouse and the future sovereign, all looked at Arthur with sympathy as if the young kid was doomed to die here.

'Why did he have to say this!?' They all mumbled and spread around to different areas.

"When I was young, I was a fat bitch." Goliath told Arthur while looking at him with an emotionless stare.

The edges of his mouth were curved downwards, dropping down as if Goliath was sad at something or rather it was a dejected look that was directed at his past self.

"He had a past like that too!?" Arthur mumbled as he realized that he may said something wrong and too quickly.

'I don't know you sir!' Arthur wanted to speak out these words but Goliath's look was overbearing for the young Arthur.

( Seventh trial will kick-off. )

The Heaven's Eye, on the other side, opened up without any hesitation.

Seeing the script Arthur knew that this was the final trial that he had to complete along the trials of the other warriors here.

"One day, I looked at myself in the mirror, looked at my useless self straight in the mother fucking eyes." Goliath said while walking around Arthur just like a hunter would go around its prey.

"There was once a Goliath who was killed by a David...Then, I will kill this Goliath too, even if it means becoming a David myself." Goliath said each word without an ounce of human emotions, while glaring deep into Arthur's eyes.

Arthur was shaking. The stare was unlike any other.

But, he didn't know that Goliath was just looking at his own reflection in Arthur's eyes.

"David, Goliath? What's going on?" Arthur didn't know what Goliath was going on about, but it was very terrifying for him.

Even more terrifying than the moment when Kronosia had dropped his staffs on his head.

"That was the first time, the first time I killed the Goliath in me. And, this will be the second time, I will be bringing out the David in me!" Goliath told Arthur whilst tapping his shoulder with the same hard look on his face.

Just then the Heaven's Eye brought updated the script and showed Arthur where this was heading.

( David Goggins, The man who can do the impossible! You have now been acquainted to second personality of Goliath, David Goggins! )

"A second personality? Is it like a second soul residing in one body?" Arthur wondered while reading the Heaven's Eye.

Soul Magic, a dark magic, that a fallen class of magicians used to gain a second soul in one vessel.

With a second soul, someone who was destined to have one attribute magic was able to use two or more attributes of magic.

But, it was a banned magic in the Agrazeel Continent as this magic was based on the sacrifice of a virgin eunuch. 

'Just thinking of those bastards is making me angry!' Arthur mumbled to himself before looking back at Goliath.

'This World lacks magic, I am pretty sure of that. Sir Goliath's second personality must be a special case.' Arthur nodded his head as he adjusted to the stare that David was showing him.

Instantly David moved even closer to Arthur with a hard look on his face.

"Son, you thought of me as Goliath just now, right?" David spoke in a low subtle tone that reached Arthur's soul.

Arthur trembled and nodded with a light sound of. "Yes sir!" 

"YOU DON'T KNOW ME SON!" David shouted at the top of his lungs and the chubby skin on Arthur's face rippled as if a monster had roared directly at him.

"Yes sir." Arthur shouted while David turned away from him.

But, turning away and showing him his back was just a prelude to the beginning.

"This building inside the building, is a building that is meant to be building the warriors." David said with back towering Arthur unlike before.

'Building...building...building...building?' Arthur could understand while at the same time he felt lost, but this was the beginning of the motivating words from David.

"Did you think you were brought just to shout "yes sir"? It's do or die here. We live till we die, we fight till we breathe, we never stop. That's what a warrior, son."

Arthur, in his embarrassment looked at the others and everyone was looking at him with pity in their eyes.

"Damn it." 

"Don't look at me like that." 

Arthur mumbled but he couldn't shout these words right now.

The look of pity was something he abhorred. It was the same look, his father had shown him, over the time they had been together, again and again.

( Kronosia's Warning: Even I am not sure If I can win against the David within Goliath! ) 

"What?" Arthur who was feeling down because of the way others were looking at him, now felt, as if he was being bombarded with shock.

Who was Kronosia!?

Someone so unfathomable that he even carried the title of being 'The Fraudster of the Lower Heavens!'

But the same God who had once said that none were his rivals, was now telling Arthur that even a being of his level was unsure of beating David.

"Just what is this second personality?" Reading Kronosia's warning, instead of fearing David more, Arthur became interested.

The Heaven's Eye shone once more as Arthur turned to it.

( The Seventh Trial has started! )

"It's here!" Arthur breathed in deeply and relaxed as the moment of truth, the beginning of the end had started.

'It's not one but five trials are starting at the same time!' 

'A single moment of hesitation and laziness will cost me everything.'

'But, no matter what...I'm going to return.' 

Arthur told himself.

A last conversation of a warrior before he was headed to battle, was taking place inside his chest.
