Wounds

We're nearing the spot where the others have gathered, and Pyrrha's team spots us before running at Pyrrha's direction which alerts Glynda making her look our way. Pyrrha's team does a group hug while Glynda walks over with a happy but then a confused face as I'm carrying Ruby and Blake but Yang is nowhere to be seen.

"What's wrong Pyrrha, did something happen?" Jaune asks seeing that Pyrrha's mood isn't that great.

"Well, uh..." Her voice trails off.

"Hey where's Yang?" Nora asks me when she doesn't see Yang with us.

"...There's no way to sugarcoat this so I'll give it to you straight. Yang.. is dead." I say earning multiple gasps.

"Where is she???" Jaune asks with urgency and a crack in his voice.

"In the cafeteria that way. But I'll warn you now, what happened to her is just.. you're going to see for yourself. You'll likely loose what you had for lunch as well." I say.

The three members look at each other hesitantly before nodding and starts walking to the cafeteria.

"We need to get Pyrrha and Blake medical attention, Ruby is just unconscious." I say to Glynda and she nods.

We start walking over to the area where the wounded are but I notice that the boy isn't with Glynda.

"Where's the boy?" I ask her.

"He's waiting in the wounded area. I and others who were capable were fighting off the grimm until that blinding flash of light. After it disappeared so did the grimm. I waited to be sure that there were really no grimm left before searching for you and possibly any survivors." Glynda answers.

I nod and we arrive to see hundreds of injured students and even a few professors. Some have more fatal wounds than others, but mostly it seems that everyone will make it out with only minor disabilities that might or might not heal.

I lay Blake down and put Ruby next to her and Pyrrha falls/sits down next to Ruby tired after her fight with Cinder and her aura trying its best to heal her. Me and Glynda leave them to look for the boy. Not long after, we found him and when he spots us and runs at me. I crouch down and give him a hug.

"Are you doing ok?" I ask him.

"I should be asking you that, but yeah I'm fine. Mom looked so cool killing all the grimm, she didn't even let them get close!" He says with a smile.

"Mom?" I ask.

"Yeah? Aren't you and mom dating now? You act different when you're together." He says.

I look at Glynda and she's blushing but has a smile on her face.

"So do you mind us staying at your place? Since I don't exactly have anywhere to go." I say standing up.

"Of course I don't mind, I figured you didn't have a place to stay so I would've asked you anyway." She says.

"Alright thanks, and looks like the rest of Pyrrha's team is back. And they don't look so good either. Boy, stay here." I say before me and Glynda walk over to them.

"I did say I warned you." I say to them.

"We thought it was just a fatal strike but that... that was just overkill!" Jaune shouts and almost pukes possibly because he remembered the scene.

"Just get some rest for now, Ruby is going to be the most unstable one and will need the most support." I say.

They nod and walk past us while they are trying to find Pyrrha.

(Small Timeskip)

We have finished helping almost everyone and it's almost night now so I decide that it's a good time to leave.

"Hey Glynda we've helped enough people, the medics can handle the leftovers. We should just go home now." I say.

"Alright, lets find Jacob and we can go." She says before we go to find the boy.

After we find the boy we start the walk back to Glynda's place. And on the way we were able to really see the damage the grimm caused. Basically all of the buildings were destroyed, big pieces of debris were embedded in the sides of the road, there were bodies littered around and some of them getting zipped up in a body bag by atlas soldiers with people who knew them crying by their side and holding each other, that is if they had someone else to begin with as some weren't so lucky.

After more walking we make it to Glynda's apartment and thankfully it's intact. It's already dark so we don't waste any more time and go up to her room. When we enter I can see that it's a decently sized room, the first room we enter after a few steps is the kitchen with a table and a few chairs near the wall.

Walking further ahead is the living room which has a sofa, table and a TV. Then there's a door to the right of it and that's where the bedroom and bathroom are. The bed looks big enough for 2 people so I won't have to sleep on the sofa.

(Timeskip)

After a good sleep Glynda goes back to Beacon to repair what she can using her semblance. While I on the other hand don't have anything to do, so I decide to just walk around Vale and see if anything survived.

The sights were the same as yesterday but the further I went from Beacon the less and less damaged things become. Until I find a pleasant surprise on the side of the street, it's the same ice cream guy selling his ice cream. Well I might as well get the usual, it has been a while since my last tub.

I go over to him and he recognizes me, "Welcome- oh it's you again! Haven't seen you in a while, still want the usual tub of neopolitan?" He asks.

"Yup, and I'm surprised you're alright considering that there were massive hordes of grimm yesterday." I say giving him the lien.

"I'm as surprised as you are, everything happened so fast that it feels like a fever dream." He says while giving me the tub.

"Well I'm glad you survived, I'll see you later." I say goodbye to him before leaving.

But I don't get far as I meet Neo again.

"Hello again, why is it that almost every time we meet it's after I buy ice cream from that guy?" I ask and she shrugs.

"Is Ruby with Roman now?" I ask and her face saddens a little before nodding.

"How's she handling it?" I ask.

'She's not doing great, she cried all night and didn't sleep at all. But Roman definitely helped with her handling the loss. If he wasn't there I think she would have done even worse things to herself' She signs.

"Even worse? What did she do?" I ask.

'When she arrived at my and Roman's place she was already a sobbing mess. But there was something visible under her sleeves, when Roman told her to show him it turned out that she had cut herself many times because her arms were full of cuts.' She signs.

"Hmm that is bad, when she's finished that phase she'll definitely want revenge. Either on Cinder, the one that killed her sister or maybe both." I say.

'Well I can't stay around for long, I have to do things. See ya around.' She signs before leaving.

Ruby is going to be troublesome if she asks me to train her. If she does ask me and I turn her down she'll likely get mad and keep on pestering me to train her. I really hope I won't have to deal with that.

So how's the chapter?

It's another one where I don't really have any ideas and just make it up on the spot.
