Chapter 1: The Boy

A lone boy walking down the street. His older uniform sticks out in the from a group other students walking by chatting up a storm. He pauses letting most of the other groups of students walk pass him as a hooded figure catches his eye.

The hooded figure approaches him asking "Would you like your fortune told?"

The boy pauses for a minute thinking he has nothing to lose "Sure." he replies.

He follows her over to her stall, and sits down.

"Let us begin." "Can I have your name young man?"

He paused thinking "Shouldn't you know it lady?" "Its Koru, miss." he replies anyway.

"Well Koru I see an ominous future for you riddled with grief and sorrow." gazing through her crystal.

Getting up from the chair, Koru starts slamming his hands on the table yelling "Lady, this is a load of crap!"

A thought ran through his mind "This probably just a scam."

"If you are dissatisfied with your fortune. I might have just the object to change it, no charge." She said with a glint in her eye.

"No charge, wait are you charging me for the fortune itself?" Koru asks as he looks towards the entrance.

As she gets up to look for this mysterious object, she replies "No, not for an unfortunate soul such as yourself."

Koru sits back down as he hears those words his interest piqued. "I wonder what kind of object its going to be?"

As the fortune-teller turns around she gives him a mysterious folded blanket.

"What is this? looking down at the object in his hands.

"It is what will change from fortune." she said.

"How could this change my fortune?" He asks looking up at the fortune-teller but she was gone, so was the stall.

"What the hell? This was a scam afterall?" Koru questions as he drops the blanket.

The blanket unfolds little as it drops to the ground.

"Damn it!" he goes to stomp on the blanket, he notices something shiny.

He leans down unwrapping the blanket, "a sword?"

As Koru grabs the hilt with his left hand, his left eye starts to burn.

He covers his eye and as a thought popped into his head "Why is my eye burning?"

The burning subsides after a few moments, he still grips the sword.

Swinging it closer to his face he notices the blade is two different colors. To his left was a deep blue, and to his right was a deep red color.

"This is suppose to change my fortune?" he thought to himself.

At that moment he heard a girl's voice "Give me that sword you theif!"
