8 Registering As An Adventurer To This Town!!

Once Yumi woke up, he noticed that Yunyun was already up. She was storing away the skin of the boar she skinned yesterday.

"Ah, good morning Yudai-san! You're up pretty early!"

"The same could be said about you... Aqua on the other hand..." he looked towards her and shook his head in disappointment. No one knows where she pulled them from, but she wore blue pajamas.

"I usually wake up early. We should let Aqua-san sleep a bit more... What should we do today? Yudai-san?"

"Let's see...I wanted to enter the town of Axel, register at the guild, buy a house with this money, or at least rent a room or something... I would also like to take a bath since I haven't showered since yesterday. I guess that's my plan. You can add some suggestions if you want to."

Yunyun nodded and said, "I recommend we take some quests as well. Also... I would like to find my rival Megumin... I've been trying to find her for so long..."

Yumi looked at her pitiful expression and thought, 'Based on my previous experience with Yunyun... I think that her rival lied to her. She is surely not in that town, but I don't want her to lose the hope...'

Aqua woke up due to our discussion and complained, "Would you shut it!? I barely got a wink of sleep! I've never slept on the ground before and it is too uncomfortable for a goddess like me!" She stood up from the ground and dusted off her butt. "You better buy me a castle or something!"

"Good morning...Aqua-san." Yunyun greeted her.

Aqua greeted her back and then intensively stared at Yumi.

"What is it? Want something?"

"Of course! Turn around or leave somewhere! I need to change!" She aggressively shouted towards Yumi and ordered him to go away.

"Sheesh...Okay. Yunyun, wanna come with me?"

Yunyun nodded and replied, "Gladly."

Both of them went on a short walk. Their destination was the old cave they found all of the loot at. Afraid that they will leave her behind, Aqua quickly switched her clothes and ran after them.

"Don't leave me here!"

After she caught up with them, Yunyun showed them the way to the town of Axel. It was labeled as a town of beginners by locals. The town of beginners wasn't that big, but it was still considered a town. Many legendary figures started in this town. Including the previous heroes and the current hero candidates.

"The average level of adventurers in this town is thirty, but some hidden individuals are lurking around and they might be even someone who is over level fifty. The word has it, that there is also a young fallen noble in this town and his spearmanship is the best in the whole world."

Yumi quietly listened in, while Aqua was playing with her hair, uninterested in anything that's going on in this world.

"Interesting...Well... in that case, we cannot afford to provoke anyone as they might be a hidden boss..." Yumi commented.

It took them about twenty minutes and they finally arrived in front of a giant wooden gate, which was enveloped by a stone wall. The sight in front of them, was as if they were transported into the middle ages.

"Cool. I wonder where the guild is."

"Follow me! I will show you around!" Yunyun stepped in front of them and led them around the town. As Yumi was looking all around like a tourist, people were equally looking at him, specifically, his creepy face.

Most of them were afraid that some kind of ruffian entered the town but when they saw beautiful girls on each of his sides, their fear turned into envy.

"I just noticed that everyone is looking at us weirdly. Did Aqua do something again?"

"Why do you always blame me for everything?! I am a good girl, I will have you know!! Moreover, you look like you came from a horror movie!" Aqua looked at him with teary eyes and hugged Yunyun from behind. "Yunyun! Please comfort me!"

"A-Aqua-san...people are watching...haah...There there..." She patted her head and they resumed their journey towards the guild. Once they arrived at the place, a giant building appeared in front of them.

'That has to be it...To think that I will finally be able to take quests like in a game. It still feels unreal to me...'

The adventurer's guild was a place for adventurers to take up quests which were basically a starting point of every player. In this world, however, it was basically a job-hunting place or rather, a place where people could find themselves part-time jobs.

The moment they stepped inside, the smell of delicious meal hit their nostrils and Yumi couldn't help but gulp. The trio still didn't eat anything today and Aqua and Yumi were really starving. Yunyun, on the other hand, was pretty fine. She didn't seem like she was hungry at all.

'There might be some people making trouble for us. It's a basic cliche in every isekai anime and even in games, pro players prey upon newbies, so we need to be careful not to stir up trouble. Yunyun and I are out of the question, but once Aqua starts her blabbering about goddesses, we might be in for a ride.'

He looked around and noticed that the guild was partially connected to something that resembled a bar. Waitresses were running around the place, delivering orders. He also noticed a few groups of men with dangerous-looking armor, but they didn't seem to bear any ill will towards them.

As unfamiliar faces seemed to be a rarity, everyone's eyes were glued to them. Specifically to Yunyun and Aqua as they were two beautiful ladies and there weren't that many female adventurers around.

A good looking man walked up to them and pulled a flower out of his pocket. His beautiful blonde hair swayed with every move he made and his mole under his left eye made him even more charming. He gave them a welcoming smile and said.

"Hello, beautiful ladies, I guess you are new here, how about I show you around? This place is quite dangerous but worry not, I will protect you."

Aqua and Yumi straight-up ignored him and Yunyun simply bowed and walked around him.

A round of laughter could be heard throughout the guild but the young man didn't give up. He walked up in front of them again and said, "How about you leave this zero and come with me? From what I see you are just about to sign up, I am already level twenty, which is considered highly skilled in this town. How about it?"

Aqua looked at Yumi and said, "Uwaaah... It's a narcissist... Yudai, do something! His whole being is scaring me!"

"As if you are the one to talk!" Yumi rebutted.

"But I am a goddess! For a mortal trash boy to act so high and mighty is unacceptable! Beat him up!"

Yumi ignored her and focused his attention on the pretty boy.

"Yo, blonde-haired dog. We don't wish to cause trouble, but if you don't stop bothering my teammates, then we won't hold back." saying that Yumi smiled without a fear.

Although Yumi was weak, he knew that Yunyun wouldn't hold back if there was a fight, moreover, he still had his sword and the butterfly knife which he could use for a sneak attack. He didn't want to cause trouble, but if the trouble looked for him, he will do anything he can to defend himself.

The blonde-haired guy turned around and noticed Yumi's creepy smile.

There was nothing more creepy to him than a person with emotions that don't match the situation. He was always creeped out by people who consistently look happy, especially if the situation didn't favor them.

'I clearly stated that my level is twenty and he has yet to register at the guild. Could it be he is so confident in his skills to beat me even though he is level zero?! That's absurd!'

He observed Yumi's face a bit longer and decided not to mess with him as not only were his muscles visible through his tight shirt, but his face screamed of danger.

"It was just a joke fam! No need to get serious! Anyway, my name is Dust, and you are welcomed to invite me to a beer any time you want! Since it looks like you are travelers and wish to register, if you need something from me in the future, just buy me a beer and I might answer your questions!"

Yumi nodded and said, "My name is Yumi Yudai, this is Yunyun and Aqua."

The moment he mentioned his name, Dust's gaze turned hostile.

"To think that a noble would want to be an adventurer...How interesting. Which family are you from? I've never heard about the Yudai family before, or is it a lower-class noble family?"

While Yumi was oblivious to what he meant, Dust pulled his weapon out of his scabbard and got ready for battle.

"What do you mean by that? I am not a noble."

"You have a family name and only nobles have that...Yet you claim you are called Yumi Yudai. Which are two names I believe?" His speech slowly changed from loud to a quiet whispering. "If you are here to dispose of me, then please...let us fight in a place where people wouldn't see...I don't want my friends to worry about me..." His aggressive persona changed and Yumi could see the pleading look in his eyes.

"No no...you misunderstood me, I am not a noble...I came from a faraway country where family names are an everyday thing and what do you mean by disposing of you? I don't even know you, why would I attack you, I just wanted to avoid trouble..."

"Huh?"

"Huh?"

A big misunderstanding formed between the two men while Aqua and Yunyun were looking for a good place to stand in a line.

"A-Ah...is that so then... nevermind! Nice to meet you and sorry for bothering you! Welcome to the town of Axel!" Dust bowed and quickly ran off to his companions.

Yumi followed him with his gaze and noticed the relief on his face.

'What was that all about?'

A brown-haired petite woman from his party stood up and gave Dust a slap, which he managed to dodge at the last second.

"What was that about Dust? Why are you doing this all the time? There is no way that a girl would want you if you act like this!"

"Now now, Lynn...If there is even a slight possibility of that happening, I will pursue it to no end!" Dust declared.

Another one of his teammates stood up and gave him a high-five.

"That's right Dust! Follow your dreams!"

"See? I knew Keith would agree with me! Hahaha!"

"...You guys... are such blockheads..."

Yumi watched them in amazement and thought, 'He acted completely different when he was talking about nobles and now he has this laid back attitude...Well in any case, as long as he isn't hostile to us I won't care about him.'

Yumi resumed his goal and entered the line where Aqua and Yunyun were standing.

"Ah, he is finally here! What took you so long!"

"Ah, Yudai-san, welcome back. Um...Is everything alright?" Yunyun saw that something was bothering him but didn't know whether it had to do with her or because of something else.

"Ah... it's fine, I was just thinking about stuff. Anyway, you don't need to wait with us, go eat something if you are hungry." Yumi replied.

Yunyun shook her head and said, "I am fine as I am not that hungry. I will wait for you. I am really curious as to which class will you two choose."

The group waited for a few minutes and it was finally their turn.

"Hello! How may I help you? Are you here for registration or for a meal?"

A gentle-looking blonde-haired beauty with big breasts greeted them from behind the counter.

Yunyun stepped forward and said, "I-I brought some f-f-friends with me and we would like to register as a party, but both of them have yet to be registered within a guild." Yunyun stuttered the moment the word friends left her mouth but still conveyed what she wanted to say to the counter worker.

"I see. In that case, you need to pay an appropriate fee of 50 Eris per person."

As Aqua didn't have any money whatsoever, she looked at Yunyun with her watery eyes and wanted to beg for money.

"Oi stop bothering Yunyun!" saying that, Yumi took out a single coin from his pocket and wanted to place it on the counter but then realized that the coin is really valuable and it would become problematic to pay with it. So he turned towards Yunyun and said, "Yunyun...can I borrow 100 Eris for us?"

Yunyun smiled and replied. "Sure!" Following which she pulled a pouch of money from behind her breasts and opened it up.

"Thanks." Yumi placed his hand into her money pouch and felt that the pouch was a bit...warm.

'It's definitely from her body heat... Damn it! Do not think about it and find the 100 Eris coin!" After a bit of searching, he found what he was looking for and handed the coin to the counter lady with an embarrassed smile.

"Here you go."

"Thank you! Now, put your han- Eeek!"

"What is it?!"

As the woman was only paying attention to the girls, she didn't notice that there was a man in their group. Not only did he look scary, but he also gave her a creepy smile right after he handed her the money.

"What is wrong?" Yumi asked.

"I-Its nothing...p-put your hand on the crystal..." The woman instructed while looking away from him.
