Chapter 17 Provoking

Sand Battlefield.

With his brows furrowed Kazuki jumped back and gathered distance from the golden sand that appeared out of nowhere.

"This…gold dust…

Pakura who didn't feel the expected pain with difficulty opened her eyes and seeing the golden sand some hope to live appearing in her eyes again.

Flashing a figure landed before Pakura as the gold dust hovered around him.

He had auburn hair and dark eyes, donning black jacket and pants with mesh armour underneath.

He looked around the same age as Pakura about two years older than Kazuki.

"Gold Dust…so it's Rasa, I sure I'm lucky for meeting the two main future forces of Sand on the same day"

The familiar facial features and the gold dust didn't require Kazuki too much thinking, recognizing the man who saved Pakura.

The future fourth kazekage was standing before him, only a lot younger and obviously a lot weaker.

Pakura recognized the person who saved her as with difficulty she tried to say something, a frustrated look on her face.

"Scorch release was worth putting so much effort Pakura, that was a wonderful battle you did great!"

But Rasa didn't let her finish her words, as with a stern face he praised her for the power she displayed.

The scorched battlefield and pits around showed how terrifying the battle that just took place was, actually if it weren't for the commotion caused by this battle he wouldn't have appeared around this area to check and saving Pakura at the lost moment.

"But I still lost…

The praise of Rasa did bring some confidence back to Pakura but the frustration of losing couldn't just go away easily.

The fact she lost to someone who was even younger than her was more frustrating as well.

She has always wanted to prove herself and wanted to be like Chiyo-Sama in the future, a Kunoichi respected throughout the whole village.

Since the day she had failed to catch the eye of Third Kazekage unlike Rasa who was now being trained by him, she had wanted to prove herself.

Rasa moving his focus from Pakura to Kazuki who stood far away asked a question in a serious tone.

But Kazuki didn't satisfy his curiosity and staying silent, he put the Kusanagi back in the sheath on his back.

Next in the alert eyes of Rasa, Kazuki made quick hand signs as next second around him white smoke burst and ten clones of Kazuki appeared.

"He still has so much chakra!!"

Rasa was naturally surprised seeing the shadow clones but Pakura was way more shocked.

Battling her the opponent had released multiple large scale jutsu yet he was still able to make ten shadow clones, just how large were his chakra reserves.

"You utilize golden sand a mixture of gold dust and sand which eliminates the factor of sand damping, you require me to go all out so better pay attention rather than caring about who I am!"

Said Kazuki after creating the shadow clones, he wanted to know his true current strength though Pakura was strong she still wasn't able to make him utilize all the jutsu in his arsenal.

But Rasa who had golden sand was somewhat resistant to his water style so it could turn out to be a challenge for him, a battle he had been wanting.

Normal Sand mixing with water would dampen which would make it heavy and difficult to utilize but sand mixed with gold was heavier than water, and Rasa was still able to use it so easily showing his water style won't make much difference.

And the defense of Golden Sand was way stronger than normal sand, just the fact his Kusanagi was unable to pierce through it an example though it's true it was just a normal slash.

He wanted Rasa to fight him with all he had as well, explaining his water style would be countered by his golden sand was just to entice Rasa to go all out.

As Kazuki finished his words chakra burst out of him, blue wisps of chakra hovering around him.

"Try to stay away from the battlefield Pakura, the way you are now just the aftermath of this battle will kill you!"

Said Rasa with a stern face, utilizing the chakra in his body as more and more golden sand gathered around him, taking the first step towards Kazuki.

Swish!!

All the shadow clones of Kazuki with the advancement of Rasa all rushed forward lunging at him at high speed.

Without showing any panic Rasa waved his hand as the golden sand around him quickly shaped into numerous small dense bullets, with a flick of his finger all shot towards the clones.

Poof!

The clones danced around to dodge the barrage of gold bullets but still more than half to unable to block bursting into smoke.

The rest approaching Rasa decided to rely on Taijutsu, chakra coating their fists and legs as they punched and kicked him.

Boom!!!

But still of no use as the golden sand around him quickly enclosed Rasa turning into a sphere as the chakra enhanced attacks of Kazuki's shadow clones unable to break it.

Poof!

At the same time the surface of the smooth sphere moved and sharp spikes extended out, piercing the clones.
