Chapter 2

8 months before Minami's arrival , at the hall;

Seo: "Fudo-san want me to become captain of the first team?"

Tozen: "That's what he said."

Seo: "Not interested. If that's all then I'll be going now."

Tozen: "Would you at least try ?. We really need someone who have a lot of experience like you , Seo-san."

Seo: "I prefer doing it my way alone so , I can't accept your offer. Beside , if Fudo-san really want to lead the team , why don't he take that position instead ?"

Tozen: "Those are my though too but he just wanted to asked me if you would like to join and lead the team."

Seo: "I see. Well , I'm not joining either way so , see you next time."

He then proceed to walk away and exit the hall as Tozen waves at him for his departure.

Few hours later when Seo finish strolling around the market , he suddenly stop as he see a gun shop beside him.

Seo: "So this is the shop that just open 5 days ago huh ?."

After he look at the shop's sign , he begin to look at the shop's entrance to find out if someone have been entered the shop before. Seo is surprise when the door of the shop suddenly open , then a girl with a long white hair appear from behind the door and close the door as she finally step outside. Now that she stand in front of him , he's now could see her face clearly as her crimson eyes made a contact with him. As Seo mesmerized with her looks;

White hair girl: "Excuse me , you're blocking the way."

Seo: "Oh. Uh. Sorry."

He step aside to let her pass him. Soon after , Seo still look at her as she keep walking away without looking back.

On the next day at the East Building , Seo has finished with his hunting when he heard a loud gunshot somewhere near him. He decide to follow the sound when he hear another sound of gunshot. As he get closer to where it coming from , he soon arrive at the hill and there's no way to go but going down. He walk over to the edge of the hill and look down , he see a girl he met yesterday is now surrounded by a group of Gaoru.

Seo: "She seems to be in trouble. No , she'll be fine. I'm sure she can handle this without my help."

He begin to walk away with no concern believing that girl could survive on her own.

At the same time , the girl below the hill is able to shoot down 3 Gaoru on her surrounding with her assault rifle. Now that her rifle ammo are empty , she proceed to quickly take out her handgun as another 2 Gaoru slowly creep from both side of her. When she point her gun at the one on her left , she pull the trigger and the bullet hit its eye making it roll around in pain. She then point her gun at her right and she realize there's no more bullets left. She try to take out another handgun magazine from her pocket knowing she won't be able to make it in time as the monster on her right get close to her. The monster soon begin to jump on her but it was intervene by Seo who stab its body with his sword and push it away from her. He then push it down to the ground and stab on its neck killing it instantly. After that , he turn around to check on her but he only see that she point her gun at him. Seo soon realize where she point her gun at , then he move his head slightly to his left as she shoot the last Gaoru from earlier behind him. Now that there are no threats , she begin to lower her gun and she see Seo is looking at her. After few seconds of looking at each other in silence , Seo walk away from her without saying a word and leaving her behind.

4 days later at the market café;

Tozen: "So , would you like to tell me what's the problem here after 5 days has passed ?"

Seo: "Well you see , I've met a girl with white hair and crimson eyes few days ago at a gun shop and able to save her in time on the next day. After I leave her alone , I would go on my normal day is what I thought but she kept on following me everywhere. You don't think she have a grudge on me is she ?"

Tozen: "No , but since she follow you , she may want to ask something from you but doesn't know how to approach you. Why don't you try looking for her perhaps."

Seo: "I'm no stalker , alright ?. I won't running away this time if I see her following me."

After that , Seo left early out of the café and continue to look around the market.

Moments later , Seo had a feeling that the girl is following him from behind so he change his path and walk toward an alley. Soon after , the girl did walk to the alley that Seo just went but it lead to dead end. As she stand there and confused , Seo appeared behind her;

Seo: "Hey you..."

White hair girl: "What the...how did you-"

Seo: "See that gap over there ? , at the side of the wall. That's where I hide and wait for you to pass by. Now that I caught you , what do you want from me ?"

The girl is standing there in silence. Then;

White hair girl: "Um...would you like to form a team with me ?"

Seo: "No thank you. See ya."

White hair girl: "Hey wait !"

Seo: "Hmm ?"

White hair girl: "What's your name ?"

Seo: "Seo , Ootori Seo. What about you ?"

Varmoth: "Just call me Varmoth. And now listen here , I don't usually asking for partner since I can handle the hunting myself but after seeing you fight against many groups of Gaoru at the East building even before you save me , I think I can't ask anyone else but you , Seo-san. So , would you like to team up with me ?"

Seo is thinking after hearing her reason , then he reach his hand toward her.

Seo: "Well , I don't ask for a partner either. But , it's great to have someone to watch over your back so , it's a deal then."

Varmoth then reach her hand toward him and shake his hand to seal the deal. Thus their new adventure begin.
