1 Not Inconspicuous Enough

Knox quietly walked into the -13 starting village, a few small humans and elves could be seen talking to each other near a old man with a book icon above his head.

Knox quickly stopped and dived behind a small pillar before clicking on the names of the children near the npc.

Knox had just started the game and upon checking the others stats noticed there was no one else nearby with the same race or class as her.

She began to wonder wether ir not she had gotten a rare class.

Only one of them was the same age as her and the rest were all older.

Knox quietly hid behind the pillar while trying to decide what her next move should be. She really wanted to make friends but either they'd eventually figure out who she was and pity her or they'd try and exploit the young heiress like immature gamers to a glitch.

Not to mention she even bought a giftcard that came with a silver and white armor cosmetic which she had itmediately equipped before being spat out of the starting portal, which had quickly disappeared behind her earlier.

Now upon seeing the other players she realized she would surely stand out way to much...

I mean what kid could buy expensive cosmetics before they even started the game?

Knox decided to quietly listen to the others to try and see if she could figure out a solution to her problem through inspiration.

"Man I wish I was older! I heard from my cousin whos 4 years older than me that the 13 and under servers suck for grinding wealth and are only good for experience." Said a ginger haired human child with a screen name of Caldo Fyer.

He was surrounded by 4 other players, one was a human like him but instead of ginger hair she had green hair worn in a twindrill style, while the rest seemed to be elves.

"Caldo you know you guys are lucky so be able to play at such a young age, when your all older you'll have legendary strength because I sparred with you all so much" Said a tanned elf who was taller than the rest.

Knox quickly opened up his data again and saw he was 12 years old.

she guessed he could afford to talk like an elder if he was almost 13, but it still bugged Knox.

She opened up the unliked list which was naturally still empty for a new player like her, and added him to it. She didnt block him or anything, but she wanted to remember that she didnt like his haughty attitude. So next to his name she added the word "Haughty". Knox then swiftly closed the list and continued listening to the other kids intently.

"Octo your supposed to be 13 in like 4 months but your already so immature I think you should stay in this server for at least another 5 years." A faired skinned elf sneered. Her stark red twin braids reflected the large shafts of sunlight shining in from above the sparse canopy encasing the village above.

"Grettil nobody asked you." Said the last and shortest elf amoung them. This person was also 9 like her.

But they were male and had curly blond hair and looked to be a bit on the heavy side.

"Oconnar stop being such a kiss-up." Said twindrill.

Caldo started laughing loudly for a while before calming down and saying "Alright calm down guys we need to find Grettil an enchanted silver dagger for her solo mission still."

The other became more relaxed at his words.

Knox decided this person was probably their leader. He seemed to have more charisma than the rest even though from her observations he probably wasnt the brightest of the bunch.

Knox checked his stats again and found out he was of squire class. He would probably eventually test to evolve his class and become knight class in the future.

She remembered the elf girl named Grettil was a cleric while the elf named Octo was a brawler.

Knox couldnt remember the others and checked them as well.

Oconnar was a cleric as well which surprised her and the twindrill girl who was named Steina was a assasian. She was the only one who had a specialty skill assigned along with her class.

It was called Leecher.

Knox decided to look it up after she got herself out of this situation.

Finally Steina spoke up.

" I think we need to go and complete the mission called Brave Is Not Always Bold."

"I think I've tried that once and couldnt even get past the first wave of enemies. I tried it with a different group but even if we wanted to try you need to have 7 people to get to the weapon aquiring stage." Grettil said frowning.

"Yeah I've only gotten to the 2nd stage and ran into the same problem. We would need someone who can summon because the limit for partying on that mission is also six." Steina contributed.

"Hey didn't a message pop up not to long ago saying a summoner appeared on the server?" Octo asked.

"Oh yeah I saw that too Octo. We just need to find that person and get them to party with us." Occonar says getting visibly excited. His mini muffin top jiggles abit when this happens and Knox unknowningly giggles out loud in response to this sight

Steina whips her head around and looks exactly in the direction of the pillar where Knox is hidden.

"Come out whoevers over there! Otherwise I'll PK whoevers over there!" Octo shouts and begins to slowly walk towards Knox.

Knox knows her hiding spot has been discovered. She needs to find a disguise quickly. She hastely opens up her inventory and decides to double check her wearable items.

She finds something! It's a customized item the game developers made for her that comes with her unique race.

It's called "Summoning Angels Teardrop Halo Helm".

She quickly equips it and an option pops up.

"Would you like to accept the Divinety trait that comes with this helmet?"

She quickly selects "Yes" without even bothering to finish reading the question.

Several notifications pop up afterwards.

Divinity activated.

Wings have emerged, merging cosmetic aesthetic with item.

Wings have transformed.

A warm feeling spread over Knoxs character.
