Chapter 24 – Back to the Wild Area
"Is it that bad?" Glen asked. He was a bit worried about this. He was also sure that they got a mission to attack other villages and since it was a mission and they were the players, they will not miss this chance to complete it.
"It is really bad. Three days ago, a big battle happened between the Maru Center Village and Maru East Village. There were almost 100 players who participated in that battle," Bertha looked worried.
"We heard that Maru Central Village's players attacked a kid from Maru East Village which angered everyone in Maru East Village. The players and villagers from Maru East Village attacked Maru Center Village and it was a big battle."
"As you know, we villagers have stronger beasts than the players because we have stayed in this village for many years. So, when the villagers took part in this battle, it was a big battle."
"Now, everyone is on high alert. From what the villagers had gathered, the one who started all of this was Maru Central Village. As for the reason, it is unknown," Bertha explained.
The villagers might not know the reason but the players knew it. It was easy to guess and many wondered how they could get that mission too. If they attacked blindly without a mission, it would be their loss as they suffered damage without any reward.
"I will be careful and thank you for the warning," Glen thanked Bertha sincerely. Moreover, Glen felt the need to rush Bubbly's upgrade. Maybe he should abandon the locked skill and just upgrade Bubbly to Tier 3-Star.
'NO! I should let Bubbly learn the hidden skill as fast as possible. He also needs to let Bubbly rank up as fast as possible. We will need to camp in the wild for a few days to train,' Glen was determined.
He looked at Bertha and asked, "How long will it take for you to gather all the materials?"
"Why? Do some of Bubbly's upgrade material on the list too?" Bertha smirked while looking at the list. She knew it and Glen admitted it too earlier but she just wanted to tease Glen.
She could see that Glen was restless after he heard her warning and thus tried to cheer him up.
"No, they are not," Glen knew that Bertha was teasing him and shamelessly denied that.
"I need to know this because I want to go hunting in the wild to gather more money and perhaps tame more beasts. I will come back at the right time if I know how long it will take you to find the materials," Glen replied.
Bertha was surprised. She thought that Glen would coop in the village to avoid danger but he wanted to go to the wild.
"Hmm, most of these materials are not that hard to find. I will need at least five days," Bertha replied.
"Then, I will come back after five days," Glen replied. He took Bubbly and passed the dining room. He overheard everyone talking about the big battle and most of them looked serious.
Those that looked happy were the new players because they were quite oblivious to the situation but those that had been playing for a few hours looked serious.
"Let's buy some stuff before we head to the wild area," Glen spoke to Bubbly. Bubbly happily complied with Glen's suggestion and they headed to the restaurant in the village for cooked food, the butcher, grocery, and vegetable shop for raw food materials.
Since the storage was time-proof and theft-proof, Glen did not need to worry about the food spoiling or losing them. So, he bought quite a lot of them.
Since Glen had money now, he did not mind spending them. Now that he knew he could earn a lot of money as an Upgrade Specialist, he did not need to worry about spending money.
He also went to a furniture shop and bought a single bed, table, and chairs to decorate his Private Room. He also bought a small cushion for Bubbly to sleep. Bubbly usually floated in the air when he was sleeping but he bought the cushion for him because Bubbly wanted it.
Glen sat at the village's park to decorate his Private Room. Since the bed, table, and chairs were no rank item, he could make them unlimited with a low amount of money. Still, Glen did not do that.
If it was an expensive item, he might do that but he bought all of them cheap and if they broke, he could buy them again. Also, he would get a better bed, table, and chair later once he had more money, so there was no need to make them unlimited in the Private Room.
Glen put the four items in the Private Room's inventory and set them up in the room from the menu. After he was done with that, Glen found a secluded place and got inside the Private Room.
All the furniture was neatly arranged in the room.
After that, Glen left the village to the wild.
"That's right! The developer has fixed the HP and Energy, I wonder what Bubbly's new stat looks like?" Glen checked Bubbly's stat in the menu.

Since Bubbly did not battle any wild beast, his AP only increased by 1.8 points and this was all he got from drinking the Rank 1 Colorless Stage Water for 20 days. Out of that 1.8 points, only 1 point could give him a few stat points.
However, Glen did not use these points. He would add them later. He looked at the HP and Energy and was elated.
Bubbly's original HP was 2.14 but after the update, it was now 10.70. That was a huge leap and Bubbly could last longer in battle. His HP was not his strong point before but now, it was the second-highest stat Bubbly had.
As for the Energy, it was originally Bubbly's strongest point and although it was multiplied by three, it was still the highest stat Bubbly had. Bubble beast's strongest point was still their Energy even after the update.
"The wild beast will get seven times of their original HP, then, the wild Bubble beast will be a bit more resilient," Glen smiled.
Although he hunted quite a lot of them before, Glen still sympathized with their low HP. However, after the update, the Bubble beast would not be as weak as before. They could last a bit longer.
Maybe they would not get killed from wind or a leaf hitting them accidentally.
After he was done, Glen searched for prey to increase Bubbly's AP, and naturally, he would choose the Horned Rabbit because they were the same Rank, Tier, and Stage.
In a few minutes, Glen found his target.
"Let's do this, Bubbly!"
