17 Chapter 17 - Rank 1 Colorless Stage Water

Chapter 17 – Rank 1 Colorless stage Water

[Colorless stage Water upgrade successful. Since Player Glen does not use any existing method to upgrade the material, you get a reward.

Reward – Full data on Colorless stage Water and Rank 1 Colorless stage Water]

[Achievement received. As the first player who upgrades a material, you receive ten more 1 cubic meter, Private Room]

Glen was surprised and elated with what he got. Although the Private Room was a good reward, he liked the data more because it could increase the knowledge in Data Saver.

Glen checked the basin and it looked like that there was still a bit of core left in the water.

As for the water itself, it looked no different than the normal water. Perhaps, the water's rank increased but the water composition itself remained unchanged.

"So, 1 core can upgrade more than 30 liters of water," Glen picked up the core from the water and it had shrunk a lot. He appraised the upgraded water.

Name – Water

Element – Water

Stage – Colorless

Rank – 1

Advancement Point [AP] – 0.2 per 1 liter (only effective on water element beasts)

Upgrade Methods to Rank 2

Glen could see the basic data of the Rank 1 Colorless stage Water at the top and below it was the detail on the upgrade methods, the water properties, what it was useful for, what it could be used for, what bad things he could do with it many more.

All these data were similar to the reward he got for the full data, one common material. At the time, Glen chose a normal-looking grass outside the inn to test it and the results were shocking.

The grass he chose was super common and could be found anywhere. Moreover, it was commonly known to have nothing special about it but that was not the case.

The normal-looking grass which was simply named by the game as Colorless stage Green Grass could be used to clean the fishy taste of aquatic meat if used at the right amount.

The effect of it was useless to a tamer who wanted to strengthen their beasts but to tamer or anyone that loved to cook, the Green Grass was a useful material.

Moreover, the data also provided him with the Green Grass upgrade method to Rank 1 which was similar to the water data he got. Still, Glen did not want to waste his time on upgrading the grass. He did not know what effect it would have and he did not need it at the moment.

"0.2 AP per 1 liter. So, if Bubbly drinks this water, he will get this amount per liter…" Glen glanced at Bubbly who seemed to be interested in the Rank 1 water. It floated above the basin and wanted to dive in.

"But Bubbly can only drink 500 ml per meal… Sigh~ hunting is better if I want to increase Bubbly's rank," Glen could not help but feel defeated. The Rank 1 water was indeed better than normal water but it was still not good enough to let Bubbly rank up to Rank 2.

Glen continued reading the data and he looked at the upgrade method and unfortunately, it was the same method but instead of a Rank 1 water element's beast core, it needed Rank 2 water element's beast core.

Glen and Bubbly couldn't retrieve that with their current power. Rank 1 beast was troublesome enough for them and Rank 2 would be too hard for them.

Moreover, there were no Rank 2 beasts in the area Glen was currently in because even in Maru Prairie, it was divided into specific rank areas. All the villages were located in the Rank 1 area and thus, only Rank 1 beast could be found nearby.

As for Rank 2, the players needed to head further away from the villages. At the moment, only a few players were capable of going to the Rank 2 area because many of the players had yet to rank up their beast.

Glen had heard people talking that there were a few players that tried going to the Rank 2 area to power level their beast but ended up teleported back by the system to the village.

According to their experience, the player stood no chance in the Rank 2 area if their beasts were not at least the peak of Rank 1.

"We need to make do with this water," Glen mumbled and he let Bubbly drink some of it. Since Bubbly would get only 30% of the AP, he only got 0.03 AP per 500 ml of the Rank 1 water.

Bubbly happily drank some of the water and Glen continued reading the information about Rank 1 water and surprisingly, he found something super useful.

"Rank 1 Colorless stage water can be used to upgrade Bubble beast to Thick Bubble beast. Soak the Bubble beast in the water for 12 hours or 12 hours accumulated time," Glen read this with shock.

Previously, the Bubble beast needed to soak in the water for 24 hours and there was a limited amount of water needed.

However, for the Rank 1 water, there was no specific amount of water needed, the time limit for the soaking was reduced to half and the Bubble beast did not need to do it 12 hours straight, they could soak themselves 1 minute or two until it accumulated to 12 hours and they would upgrade naturally.

"Then, if I make a pond or lake with Rank 1 Water, will I not be able to mass-produce Thick Bubble beast? If I can do this, the Bubble beast will not be this pathetic," Glen smiled wryly.

Since he had a Bubble beast as his beast, he felt bad letting the wild Bubble beast die as easily as breathing.

According to the information too, the Rank 1 water was also a useful item for the Bubble beast to survive longer in the wild. If the Bubble beast drank the water most of the time, it would automatically enhance the beast's defense. It was not much but better than nothing.

"The Bubble beast is a docile beast. I should do this later when I have my own home in this game. I will make a small pond of Rank 1 water and get some wild Bubble beast there to upgrade. After that, I will release them to the wild to breed properly and increase the number of Thick Bubble beasts," Glen took note of this.

He was unsure if it would work since this was a game but he hoped that it would. Since Beast Life was fully computer-generated, this could happen.

At the moment, no players had mentioned the beasts spawning suddenly like common games and if this game followed the same formula as the three legendary games, the beasts would only respawn through normal means and that was from breeding.

If by chance the beast in an area almost went extinct, the game would protect them in some kind of method. For example, a super boss would be guarding the herd, etc.
