40 Phil

After their less than great meeting Phil and Alex actually got along pretty well he's had a lot of adventures during his pretty long life. He has even come across one of Alex's great grandparents when he was a kid.

"You Carlisles are usually a lot more snippy only your great grandmother was nice I'm glad you took after her the rest of your family are entitled elitist trash I have no idea what happened when I saw one of your grandparents in my class he was such a brat it's horrible and I became a teacher and one of his sons were the most stuck up people ever. Did your family mellow out or something?" Phil

"I only just met one of my other relatives and she was nice but my mother and father don't really talk with the rest of the family so I honestly don't know but arranged marriage is something they tried to shove down my throat." Alex

"That sucks... wait you said tried? How'd you get out of it," Phil

"I didn't yet but if I'm the best at the special school I'm going to after high school I'll be free." Alex

"Oh... Alright I'm not retiring until you pass! I want you to beat up all those snobs!" Phil

"Huh?" Alex

"I'm the magic teacher there unless they send you to a different country oh and the school has a name it's Prospect Academy!" Phil

"Thanks for the name god special school sounds dumb I actually thought that was it's name dammit Tabitha a name would have been nice." Alex

"Ah your relative is your great grandmother no wonder she was nice." Phil

"Huh? No way she's like 20-30 at most!" Alex

"Only one person is named Tabitha in the Carlisle family that I know of and I taught all their kids except one and that was a male so either they are older or that's the Tabitha I know." Phil

"Maybe it's a distant relative." Alex

"Why would they come here then?" Phil

"What ever I'll just ask her next time I see her." Alex

"Maybe she doesn't want to look old and uses illusions to look young." Phil

"Alright jeez! So what's school going to be like?" Alex

"Well it's training and fighting mostly we have assignments out of school for top scorers and they can be... difficult to stomach." Phil

"How so?" Alex

"We are neutral and there are different kinds of people that give us assignments that we let you choose from, not all are good mind you." Phil

"Oh! Well that seems like it would be a problem." Alex

"Not really most people have some type of morals and the really troublesome ones that might cause too many problems we send back with an explanation." Phil

"And by really troublesome I'm assuming you mean both good and bad?" Alex

"Yeah we're extremely neutral but they can give assignments straight to people and we won't intervene as well they just pay the person or give them something and they'll do it instead of us being an intermediary where we give the assignments for free." Phil

"Uh... what are the assignments for?" Alex

"So we can group like minded people together instead of people who have completely different thoughts." Phil

"Ah... okay so... anything else?" Alex

"Well there is a lot it's still a college after all we teach basic studies all to Majors with time dilation and then there are your specialties since you need to be the best you'll need to do all of them so yeah good luck with that." Phil

"Ugh... so what are the specialties?" Alex

"Well... Magic, Qi, Different Weapons, Medical Magical and Normal, Glyphs, and Wards." Phil

"Oh... is each weapon it's own specialty?" Alex

"Yeah I just didn't want to name them all off same with medical stuff normal doctors use and magic healing." Phil

"Why isn't magic and Qi known to the populace?" Alex

"The entire planet is warded only strong people can know... be it financially, politically, physically, or they have high potential to learn. A teacher can teach anyone no matter their potential we just need to mark them with some Qi or Mana but most people don't teach people with average or low potential." Phil

"What happens if they know?" Alex

"They'll forget same if they lose power." Phil

"Can I teach someone even though I'm not a teacher?" Alex

"I meant teacher as in someone who teaches not the profession but I think you should finish Prospect first." Phil

"Why?" Alex

"Maybe you'll accidentally kill them sir something." Phil

"Oh... sounds like a problem so Prospect first gotcha." Alex

"Yeah... so what do you know about the world so far?" Phil

"A lot involving magic but other than that not much." Alex

"Well you'll find out more in Prospect." Phil

"So no hints now?" Alex

"Nope... go home it's late." Phil

"Oh SHIT I have to go bye Phil!" Alex
