Knight With No Kingdom

A knight must protect his kingdom, that was the responsibility of the knight but what if a knight lost his kingdom. The Kingdom of Arlian was a rich kingdom, it was ruled by the king with iron hand and it has an abundant resources that's why a bloody war spread just to take control of this kingdom. For a knight it is an honor to die for the kingdom, they are not afraid of dying because fear of dying is a sign of coward. That's why the knight was one of the honorable job at the kingdom. But for Valtos being a knight was a dirty job. Killing to protect the Kingdom and die for it for him was a foolish thing. For him killing wasn't the solution to gain peace because to him killing will just makes people to hate by a lot of people. Valtos was the son of Knight Captain Dracius. He doesn't want to become a knight but his father forced him to be a knight. When the war comes Valtos was forced to took life of others. If he doesn't do this his father will for sure neglect him as a son. He know his father, he is a military man who only know how to take care of the kingdom. His a great knight but not a good father. At the first wave of the war Valtos killed eight persons. He can't sleep at that time not because of the danger caused by the war but because he remembers the faces of the people he killed. It makes him dizzy if he remember the feeling of his sword slashing to others meat.

The war continues and in every time he go to the battle field he became stronger and every time he killed one it makes him a different person. Time had passed and Valtos changed, now his not the Valtos who believes in soft justice. Now his eyes was life less and all he want is to kill to be alive.

One time they attacked the camp of the army planning to attack the kingdom and he killed the general leading this army. He cut the general's head in front of its men. At that knight he killed the most number of enemy on their squad he killed thirty-eight men without getting any wounds that's why he become popular at the kingdom and many are afraid of him and thinking him as a cold blooded knight The humor about him spread at the kingdom and even on the other kingdom. He called as the "Knight of Death" by all people. The story about Valtos inspired other knights so they work hard and killed a lot of enemy until the king assigned Valtos to become the leader of elite squad of knights. He lead the eight elite member of this squad and they called Royal Knights. This squad did a lot of things to get the victory. They killed bunch of enemy and almost win the war until the enemy kingdom Leiral joined forced with the Orcius Kingdom( kingdom or Orcs). They also hired mercenaries and dark sorcerers to fight Arlian.

One night while the kingdom of Arlian was celebrating with the achievements of Royal Knights the Enemy's force attacked the kingdom. Valtos and the other knights fight with all their might but because of unpreparedness they are so overwhelmed with the enemy's force. While busy in fighting Valtos doesn't aware that an arrow will hit him but his father pushed him. He thank his father and Dracius smile to him but an enemy stab Dracius causing him to die. The enemy who stabbed Dracius said that that's for his father and he confirmed him self as the son of the general who killed by Valtos when they attacked the camp of their enemy before. No single words came out from Valtos' lips and when the guy killed his father tried to hit him a ball of fire strikes near on them causing the establishment near to them to fall. Blocks and woods fall to Valtos and he got sleep.

When he wakes up the war was over and he doesn't know what happened. He saw the corpses of his comrade and he saw two enemy's Knight checking on the area. Valtos hid on the blocks and wood fell to him and listened to the two knights, that's how he find out that they are defeated. When the two knights was gone Valtos came out and left the fallen kingdom of Arlian. Now he doesn't have anything, no kingdom to protect, no reason to kill and no people to protect. His life was meaningless he doesn't know where to go so he became a stray guy with no direction. For him it is the end of his mission but it's not, it is just a beginning of his new journey as a Knight With No Kingdom.
