19 Another Day

It was another day in the Academy of Ambition.

It has been 3 days since the Wolfman incident and it appears that only the teachers, me, and the other students involved have knowledge of the event.

But lately, I've been noticing that there were more and more priests of Church Myllen coming to the academy.

I shrugged it off and made my way into the class.

Then after a few minutes, Ms. Melinda finally arrived.

I was expecting it to be a normal day like any other but then.

"Okay, First Year Aura Students, please make an orderly line and follow me to the Ambition Theater, our headmaster will be announcing an important message today"

We all then comply and organize ourselves as we made our way to the Ambition Theater.

"Alright, All First-Year Aura Students, please choose a seat in the first row"

I chose a seat on the side while most of the other students wanted to be in the middle to have a better view of the headmaster when he arrives.

Lawrence also followed me and sat right next to me.

"Don't like being in the center of things, huh?" He then suddenly asked me a question.

"Ain't that obvious?"

"Apparently so"

A few minutes came by as more and more students entered the Ambition Theater.

The Ambition Theater was now full of chatter and noise as many students were talking with each other.

But then one by one teachers from every class suddenly got up and ascended into the platform.

The chatter died down and all of the students were now focused on what was happening.

Then a notable figure was now present.

It was the headmaster with his humongous physique who then walked up to the podium in the middle of the platform.

" Students of Ambition, I know that this is sudden, but you all will be given a one month break from classes starting tomorrow and will be asked to return to your homes, I cannot give you the reason why we decided on this but know that this is for the good of the Academy."

Some students were confused, others looked sad, but some were sneakily celebrating and I was one of them.

"One month of rest," I thought to myself as I let out a small smile.

"That is all, you can now return to your classrooms"

The headmaster then descended from the platform and left the Theater.

"Alright, Students follow your respective teachers and return to your classrooms." A Teacher ordered us from the podium.

Ms. Melinda then got off the platform and signaled us to follow her.

We then get back to our classrooms

"Alright, I will be dismissing all of you early today as the headmaster ordered us to help you guys pack your things, and do not worry, we notified your parents 2 days ago, so they will be ready to fetch you guys tomorrow"

I then got up from my seat and proceeded to leave the classroom just like the other students but then.

"Student Kayn, please come with me please" Ms. Melinda all of the sudden approached me.

I nod at her and proceeded to follow her.

We then arrive at a room that had two knights guarding it.

Ms. Melinda nods at the knights and they let her and I enter it.

The room had a table and two chairs, the walls were pure white.

A teacher who had silver hair was sitting on one, It was Ms. Leah

"Wait, this feels like a room for interrogation," I thought to myself.

"Sit" Ms. Leah suddenly ordered me

I comply and sit on the opposite chair.

Ms. Leah then nods at Ms. Melinda.

She nods back and then left the room.

"Student Kayn," She said while looking at some papers

"Yes, ma'am?"

"Or should I say Kayn Lynine?" She said as she stopped looking at her papers and straight into my eyes.

Ms. Leah's face right now was the polar opposite of what she showed us when she was taught our class Aura Meditation.

She had a cold face toward me but I can see that her eyes were full of rage and contempt

"I'm fine just being called Kayn, Ms. Leah" I reply as I don't break away from her gaze.

"It appears that your father has absolved you of your nobility,"

"I do not deny that Ms. Leah, but may I ask why you summoned me here?"

"Wolfman's, Student Kayn do you know what they are?"

I shook my head.

"Well, Student Kayn, Wolfman's are not born naturally, they are a product of what happens when a person gives up their body, mind, and heart to the Fiends"

"Then doesn't that mean that Fiends were responsible for the appearance of one in the test?"

"That may have been the case, Student Kayn"

"But, Student Kayn, from our knowledge and our recent investigations, not only did you manage to encounter one you even managed to slaughter one"

"I merely got lucky, Ms. Leah"

"then you must have used all of the luck in your life then, because how could a first-year aura student who barely knows how to properly use his Aura and only have knowledge of one weapon art manage to end the life of a beast that even trained yellow aura users and experienced mages have trouble with"

"Then I must have been extremely lucky, Ms. Leah"

"Bullshit"

I was slightly taken aback by what she said but I regain my composure.

"Student Kayn, please remember that we have the authority to detain and arrest you if you keep withholding information that can help us in this investigation"

"You see, Student Kayn, this was the first time our impenetrable security has been breached, we take great pride in protecting our students but it seems that we were lacking"

Ms. Leah's gaze was now sharper but I still didn't break my gaze away from her.

"Damn, I don't think they'll believe me if I keep saying I got lucky, what the hell am I supposed to do, say that I actually came from another world and I used a technique I learned there, no, that is too bothersome and I doubt that they'll actually believe me," I thought to myself

"Student Kayn, what are you thinking about?"

"Ms. Leah, I cannot allow myself to tell you how I managed to kill the Wolfman because I used a sacred technique that only our House has knowledge of, it is forbidden for anyone who does not have the blood of Lynine to learn"

There are some instances that Houses have secret weapon arts, techniques, and sometimes even spells hidden to the general public and only family members have access to them.

It is against the law to force a family member to tell someone about the hidden powers of their House.

I used this as my excuse and seeing how perfect it was, I was sure that they would give up and not bother to ask me anymore.

"Ms. Leah, you wouldn't want to break the law wouldn't you?"

I then hear Ms. Leah start laughing quietly

"Student Kayn, there is also a law that if an event ever occurred that involved Fiends and their creations then everyone involved in that incident would need to disclose information no matter how hidden it may be so that a thorough investigation shall be done,"

"FUCK!" I shouted in my mind.

A frown was now starting to form on my face.

"Alright then, Student Kayn, shall we go to the Training Chamber or would you prefer the Aura Chamber?" Ms. Leah said while she had a large grin on her face.
