3 Training?

{Kizaru P.O.V}

It's been three months since I met Luffy and consequently started training, not only to get used to my body but to become stronger because I have a feeling that now that Luffy has a rival for the position as pirate king he will be training a lot harder than he otherwise would have and so I have to either match or surpass the amount of effort he puts into his training, but that had to wait as first I had to get used to my body, and so that's what I have been doing these last few months to do this I thought what better way than to train and slowly get used to it through that method and while my strength has improved, it hasn't improved to the point it would have, had I been all out training, during this time Luffy left to go live with Dadan, Ace and the other bandits.

But now comes the time to finally get some experience in fighting, to do this I have decided to head into the forest and fight the beasts I come across, eventually after getting more experience I might go to gray terminal and fight some of the people there to test my strength, who knows I might even be able to fight some pirates, I know that Ace and Sabo are capable of taking on a few full grown men each so doing this I might be able to tell where I am strength wise compared to them, getting back on track, as i'm moving through the forest I hear a deep growling noise coming from somewhere around me and turn around to see a massive tiger, i'm talking like my height on all fours, in the middle of pouncing at me, fortunately i'm able to dodge by jumping backwards,because when the tigers paw hit the ground it sent dust everywhere, ignoring that small detail I rush in and jump to get above where I bring my fist down on its nose and what apparently I have been underestimating my strength because after hitting it, the tigers head rockets downwards forming small cracks upon contact with the ground, kicking up a small cloud of dust and leaving the injured beast in great pain, unfortunately this has the added effect of sending the tiger into a fit of rage wherein it quickly latches its teeth onto my retreating arm, screaming out in pain I tried to rip my arm out of it's mouth, which was a failed attempt by the way only causing the beast to twitch it's lips upwards into an expression that I could only describe as a smug smirk, this pissed me off to the max so I braced myself and with all my strength lifted my arm along with the tiger and swung it, flinging it off of my arm and sending it back first into a sturdy tree causing it break it's back and die, seeing this I grinned in satisfaction after letting out a sigh I decided to cook and eat the tiger which tasted a lot better than expected.

After the small brush with possible death I decided to explore the forest, along the way I had a few more run ins with the animals of the forest that were not quite the size of the first one and were dealt with accordingly, I spotted a cave, deciding to have a look I went inside and ended up walking for somewhere around 20 minutes before I came across a massive pile of bones with what appeared to be a small chest on top, not wanting to possibly fall and injure myself by attempting to climb the pile of bones, I instead chose to throw a bone at the ones just bellow the chest causing it to slowly slide off and fall towards me, I then went to check on it, so enthralled with the chest I didn't notice the quiet rumbling of the rocky ceiling above me until I suddenly felt a sort of tingle go off in my brain and jumped back as far as possible with the chest still in hand and turning around to make a break for it, I finally notice the ceiling rumbling as if it is about to collapse and sprinting as if my life depends on it 'which it does', I just barely make it out and have to wipe off the sweat that had formed in between my eyebrows while thinking about how close I came to death, I decided that all I wanted to do right now was go home and rest.

Making my way home and thankfully this time I didn't come across any animals because I am dead tired, not once did I try to open the chest, not even after I had made it home safe and sound, instead I left it on the desk and got ready for bed, after that I went to the bed and as soon as my head hit the pillow I was out like a light.

{No Ones P.O.V}

Waking up the next morning and getting ready for the day, it was only then that Kizaru realised he hadn't checked what was inside the chest, and decided to fix that by opening it right now, he picked it up and walked over to bed where he sat the chest down and slowly opened it only for his eye to go wide when he saw nothing inside "I RISKED MY FUCKING LIFE FOR NOTHING!!!" as he was calming down he looked again and realised something was written on the inside, it said: [Calm down it's in the lid] looking at the lid he did find it kind of weird that there was a thin plank of wood covering the inside if the lid, removing the plank and seeing what was inside Kizaru couldn't help but grin as he saw a weird looking fruit shaped like and pineapple, coloured bright yellow with black spirals all over it and what appear to be a curly twig coming out of the top of it, he blanched and thought 'holy shit I thought I would have to go looking for it after I became a captain, but it was here the whole time!' he then started thinking about how he would have to eat it now or risk the chance of someone finding it and either eating it themselves or selling it the world government or the marines he was also thinking about what it would taste like considering the fact that there is apparently no devil fruit that actually tastes good he decided to stop thinking about it and just shoved it down his throat in a way reminiscent of Luffy.

Instantly feeling a way sunshine like feeling building up inside of him after the horrible taste of burning rotten eggs left his mouth, Kizaru couldn't wait to see a devil fruit in action for the first time right in front him, considering that Luffy hadn't shown him his, he focused on that feeling of sunshine and sent it to his arm that lit up as bright as the sun but remained in the appearance of a normal arm, he felt amazing and couldn't wait for when he finally sets sail, yet again thinking of the years to come Kizaru goes about his day.
