5 The City Of Joy......

Thirty minutes later.....

Eisuke was still in the bathtub, scrubbing himself clean while fuming in rage.

' That little brat, how dare he trample all over me. If not for Ashima's gift, I would have put that useless thing in its right place ages ago. ' he thought to himself.

Bobo unexpectedly became a fish bone in his heart which neither can he throw nor stomach.

Eisuke was still enjoying the bliss of their little time. If seeing him trampled by a dog brings earn him her laughter then it was worth it.

Ring!! Ring!! Ring!!

The satellite phone ruthlessly crumbled his bliss into dust. Eisuke's expressions turned darker then a burnt pot.

He was waiting for this deciding call.

"Speak " Eisuke turned on his usual mode with no trace of his former gentleness.

" Sir... Things are not good. The situation is worst then expected with no means of damage control. " said Iori Enzjo.

He has been alongside Eisuke as his assistant for more then ten years and was well aware of Meilin. Eisuke dispatched him to investigate the plot as well as to find Yuki.

" What exactly happened ?? " Eisuke said in a low deep voice. His instincts were telling him something was not quite right.

" Sir... Dr. Li used his final move and from the acquired information the mole is someone within the project. " Iori said with full solemnity .

" What exactly is the problem Iori? " Even though Iori failed Eisuke was still composed. He could tell that given Iori's abilities he could have easily deflated the loss yet was unable to do so meant there was a deep rooted problem.

" Sir our lack of hold in China is the main cause. Without power no matter how many thick thighs we greeze we are not getting any satisfactory answer. Also sir the underworld of China is not so simple. There are many prominent figures and taking them down with our given strength at the moment is near to impossible."

Iori had done his homework well before making the call. Somehow Eisuke too personally felt the problem during his stay in China. Now it was more then ever necessary to get his footing in China or else he will not be able to protect Meilin from the black market.

" I understand Iori.. I'll make the necessary movement when the time is right. For now can you recover his body and prepare the necessary arrangements for the burial ? Remember everything needs to be done in secret. I'll do the burial myself. In the meantime I want you to contact Director Sezaki and inform him about Li Yujin. Also inform him that I wish to have a word regarding this project. " Eisuke gave his instructions as his mind went back to his original thoughts of Meilin's welfare, he was about to close the connection when he suddenly remembered " Iori what happened to Yuki ?? What's the report on her?? "

Iori gulped nervously for he was sure Eisuke Ichinomiya will blow him up on this matter if nothing else. Iori could only form a hunch about Li Yuki's whereabouts given the workings of Chinese society but couldn't access it or confirm he suspicion. Thus he chose safest route while he kept digging further.

" Sir about Ms. Yuki, it seems she disappeared in thin air. And investigation in the underworld is getting extremely difficult due to our lack of connections . But their is something funny about Ms. Yuki that I stumbled across while digging about the research project at the hospital. I..."

Ding!! Ding!! Ding!!

Before Iori could continue the flight announcement was made that they were about to land in next ten minutes.

" Mail me your report, will see it after landing. " with that he closed the connection and completed his bath.

One hour later...

The moment Meilin crossed the gates of the airport after the custom checks, she was greeted by the clear blue sky and the tricolour flag proudly fluttering in the waves of wind.

" WELCOME TO THE CITY OF JOY . Meilin it's is your first time in this right, so don't miss out a moment of action. You'll learn a lot about your mom and her unique culture while you are here. There are a lot of tourists spots that's a must visit. Also there are some of the local dishes of this city that just can't be missed. You can't tell people that you visited this city if you haven't tried them...ummh...." Ota chatted on excitedly until Baba pressed his hands on his mouth and literally stopped him.

" More work, less talk.. Please. "

Baba, Ota and Soryu parted ways with Bobo and left for the hotel while Meilin and Eisuke toured the city.

Eisuke waited until everyone left before he himself left the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport.

Meilin didn't pay much attention to what Ota said as all this time her focus was on the vibrant tricolour flag .

" Welcome to Kolkata Meilin. Also known as the city of joy in India. That you see is the national flag of India, containing three distinct colours. Saffron which stands for renunciation , White which stands for light and truth and last but not the least Green which stands for the connection with the soil. Right at the centre of the flag is the Ashoka Chakra, a 24 spoke wheel. Come on let's go. I have a full day of fun planned for you. "

Eisuke had never been in India before but had only heard Ashima talk about her country and hometown. Today whatever he was going to teach Meilin was what he learned from Ashima.

Meilin listened intently to Eisuke's every word trying to absorb all the information presented to her ." Uncle Eisuke have you been to Kolkata before??" she asked curiously to know how her godfather was so knowledgable about her mother's hometown. " unfortunately not meilin this is my first time as well but I do have friends who live here and quite know this city inside out."

The car left the airport and sped through unique streets of Kolkata. It was already eight thirty when the car left the airport, thus assuming the working hours of the tourist spots as per the web their first destination should be open by the time they reach. Soryu ensured that Meilin had a full breakfast before landing and when Eisuke was busy scrubbing himself clean he managed for breakfast to be served.

Speeding away through the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass they reached their first destination, The Science City.

Set up in 1997 and located in the eastern region of the city, Science City is a very funny place. Science Museum,3D theatre, artificial zoo , dinosaur exhibition, toy train and a ropeway cables attract people of different age group time and again. Meilin at first was least interested to come to her mom's hometown fearing that it will only bring back pain full memories about her mother, but boy was she glad to be wrong. She was amazed at the place itself and even more at the attractions it offered. For a while no one could say that this was the same Meilin who had lost both her parents. She was like a little child hoping from one attraction to another. It took them near about three hours to complete all the attractions as well as the 3D show on human evolution. By the time they finished it was almost noon.

Still not hungry due to their heavy breakfast Eisuke and Meilin went on to their next stop the Children's Museum. The Children's Museum also known as the Nehru Children's Museum was built as a store house for dolls. The place showcases various different types of dolls that the country has produced and how from the historical times till the modern times the dolls have evolved along with the society as well as the culture of people. Seeing so many dolls in one place , she couldn't believe that so many types of dolls even exist in this world. Exploring the place her eyes sparkled like the brightest star in the galaxy. She didn't even think that a day full of fun and learning would end on such a tragedic note
