4 Moments of Laughter .......

" Visit Mom's home town?? But why?? "

Meilin couldn't understand why her godfather will take her to visit her mom's home town, that to at a time like this.

" Because there is someone waiting for you Meilin in your mom's home town. Also there are a lot of things for you to learn in that place. Your mom Promised to bring you there some time ago. Right?? " Eisuke said to build up Meilin's excitement but in vain.

The latter was not at all excited instead grief settled visible on her expression as she remembered the bitter truth.

" What's the use of going there now?? Mom is no longer with us. " Meilin said in a barely audible voice as of to say that to herself.

" I can understand what you mean, but in all honesty Meilin do you really think that you lost your mom?? "

Meilin didn't understand what Eisuke was saying anymore. She felt that on one hand he agrees to the fact that her mother passed away and on the other hand he doesn't.

" But my mom is no longer alive " She answered weakly, unsure of whether it was the right come back or no.

" That's not right Meilin... Infact your mom is more alive then ever ; she can live as long as you want her live, in here . Also do you know that your mom is very sad at the moment?? " Eisuke said when pointing at her heart with a pout.

Meilin became even more confused and finally she gave up.

" Uncle Eisuke... I don't understand anything you are saying... My mom is dead. How can she live, you are wrong!! " she said with a very angry voice and turned away from him.

Seeing an anger Meilin, Eisuke couldn't help but laugh.

Sitting on the edge of the bed with her arms folded to her chest along with pressed lips, knitted eyebrows, looking at her tiny bare feet. She was best soft toy in the world for Eisuke. He suddenly hugged tight, suppressing his urge to squish her.

Meilin was still mad and struggled like a trapped fish much to Eisuke's amusement. Seeing his owner having fun, Bobo too decided to join in and squished himself in. Bobo actions annoyed Eisuke to the point that he let go of Meilin with a reluctant heart. Meilin who was still angry gave him a cold shoulder and cuddled with her companion.

Eisuke felt like smacking his own face at his train of thoughts. Never in his wildest nightmare did Eisuke dream that there would come a day in his life when he would actually be jealous that of a insolent useless animal. He was being totally ignored compared to the attention the four legged brat got from Meilin.

" Hey.. I thought we are still discussing things out here?? Meilin ?? " Now it was Eisuke's turn to pout and act spoiled, pretending to be extremely wronged.

" No we are not !! You just keep saying all weird things and confuse me. I am not talking to you. " Meilin said in an angry voice closing the conversation and continued to cuddle her companion.

In the world Meilin was the only one who would dare to shut out 'The Eisuke Ichinomiya' that to in such a ruthless way. Other than her no one dared to speak out of turn ; they would never see the next moment to tell the tale.

Meilin on the other hand not only shut him out but also ignored his presence for her pet.

Bobo lay on Meilin's lap and was clearly enjoying the attention with a happy face. Eisuke felt that the creature was mocking at him.

Green with envy at the lack of attention Eisuke picked up the little guy and placed him on the floor and regretted immediately.

The fight for Meilin's attention suddenly turned into a competition between a dog and a man with neither side backing down. When Eisuke underestimatingly placed Bobo down on the floor he never thought that the little fella had tricks up his own sleeves as well.

A moment later Bobo landed on the floor Eisuke's feet felt something hot seeping into his socks and custom made leather shoes.

Eisuke was beyond speechless and Meilin couldn't control laughing.

Bobo finished his business and move on to the rug and scratched his back to his heart's content , as if nothing ever happened.

" NOT A WORD FROM YOU !! " Eisuke scowled at Soryu who was silently standing by the bedroom door watching the interaction. Though he remains aloof, he too was struggling not to laugh.

He believed that given the circumstanceS and the trechrous path ahead, these stolen moments of laughter were God's greatest mercy towards Meilin.

Meilin who was busy being angry at Eisuke only noticed Soryu's presence after Eisuke's scowling. Eisuke swollowed his anger at the little brat and turned to introduce Soryu to Meilin.

Meilin politely greeted Soryu, who look a great liking of her as he understood the reason why Eisuke preferred to be wrapped up around her finger. They went on to chat about their days back in school and she got an insight to her father's childhood.

" Uncle Eisuke can I go to the lounge and watch a movie? Pleaseeee..... " Meilin said after chatting with Soryu a little.

" No I won't list to you. First you were mad at me and then this dog.... I will not listen to anything.... Go !! Now I am mad.... "

Meilin felt that Eisuke was really mad this time and was about to have an emotional breakdown . This to coax him she took out her ultimate trump card. A big hug with lots of kisses.

Unable to resist Meilin's charms Eisuke finally gave in.

" Okay what do you want to watch?? "

" The new animated movie that was released last month , I want to watch that one.. " Meilin couldn't wait to get out of the room, so she replied very excitedly. Though her actual plan was something else altogether.

Soryu took the cue and quickly left to fix the lounge.

Meanwhile, in the flight lounge Ota and Baba were still having there drinks and munching as they waited for their turn to introduce themselves to Meilin.

Soryu came in and called out for the sterwdess too clear out the lounge in two minutes ; snatching away the glasses from Ota and Baba.

" Hey.. " They were both startled at Soryu's sudden act.

" I still didn't finish my drink.. "

Ota complained, which Soryu returned with a glare stating " If you don't want to have bullets next, then you should know what's good for you "

" Why who pissed off the Boss now?? " Baba got confused for he was sure that with Meilin around Eisuke's mood would be in check. Hence Soryu's statement was a little off the course.

" Somethings are best left unsaid Baba. " That was all Soryu managed to say. He thought that would keep Baba's curiosity at bay, but it only fueled it further much to Soryu's disappointment.

" BABA!! ANOTHER WORD OUT OF YOU AND I WILL MAKE SURE THAT THE NEXT THING YOU MUNCH ON IS BULLETS ." Since Eisuke was unable to vent out his anger on Meilin's little 'babe' he did the same on Baba.

Soryu came back and took Meilin with him to the lounge. Before leaving Eisuke's poker face gave out a clear cut message :

' Keep Ota and Baba at bay '

Soryu who had spent nearly twenty years of his life along side Eisuke obviously understood the unsaid words. The exchange took less than a nano second hence Meilin was oblivious of how possessive her godfather was about her. In his absence it was only Soryu, Eisuke would entrust Meilin's care with confidence. As for the other two, he would rather prefer them dead.

Soryu guided Meilin to the lounge and was immediately greeted by Ota, who was more than excited with a bright smile. Bobo too ran out to catch up to Meilin and passed by Eisuke wagging his tail with full arrogance.

" You were the one who came to the house ,right? " Meilin asked after politely returning his greeting.

" We all were in that house as it was a rescue mission. It's just that we were busy on the other side of the house and left after you left for the airport. By the way the name is Baba, your future husband. " Baba said with a gentle manly smile and a short bow

Meilin didn't even have the time to be stunned.

" A word with you in private Baba ." Soryu scowled and almost immediately they heard something crashing in the bedroom.

" Baba immediately took from the lounge and and hid himself in the row seats of the flight, pretending he was not even in the lounge.

After Meilin left and Bobo performed his act, Eisuke vented his anger on the bed because of which the bedside lamp crashed. Ignoring the mess he went to clean himself up .
