1 Prologue: All had Been Written

Under the soft glow of the night light, a woman's voice echoes as she reads a bed time story to her precious daughter. She would barely whisper as she told the story of the little prince.

Little Yvon yawned as she fight the urge of falling asleep mid story time. Her father, Emmanuel would chuckle at the cute attempt of his daughter.

"The Little Prince: Where are the people? It's a little lonely in the desert…

The Snake: It is lonely when you're among people, too."

The woman continued reading. Seeing that her daughter was about to fall asleep she stopped and carefully watched her daughter's face with an endearing eyes.

She is fighting the urge to squish that plump cheeks. They tucked her in bed and slowly got up the bed as quietly as possible. Before they turned off the lights they took one last look at Yvon's peaceful sleeping face.

When they closed the door, they began walking towards their own room.

"So what do we plan to do for her tomorrow's birthday?" The woman asked.

"Well she always wanted to go to the beach, maybe we could go tomorrow." Emmanuel answered.

She smiles at the idea, "Yeah, that's a great idea. How about I pack before going to bed so we are ready to go tomorrow morning. You have to rest you have been so busy at the hospital lately, you go to bed early."

That was the last memory he had, when he woke up the next morning with her gone and so was some of her clothes. He was frantic, pacing around the kitchen when he called the police.

Early in the summer morning, Yvon woke up to the sound of cars coming and going. Strangers in her home going on and about everywhere. She walked down the stairs down, no one paid attention to the little girl in her pajamas.

There was confusion in her eyes, seeing her dad sitting in the sofa with his head hung down. His eyes red from all the tears and rubbing.

"I'm sorry sir, it looks your wife ran away. She took some of her belongings with her. It doesn't makes sense if she was taken." The police sitting across her father said solemnly.

"That's impossible!" His sanity was barely hanging on by thread. His wife was just with him a few hours ago. He just closed his eyes and she was gone.

"We would do our best, but we could not promise anything Sir." The police politely answered, thinking this is another case of a run a way wife from an abusive husband. He had grown accustomed to this scene as he had handled so many case of missing persons, only to find out that they had run away.

With all the commotion, Yvon did not know what to do so she ran and ran. Tumbling into bushes of roses, her knees where bloody from the thorns from the roses.

She bursts into tears, whether she crying due to her wounds or the loss of her mother. She wasn't sure.

A shadow loomed over her, she stopped crying for a moment to look up. Finding a hand stretched out in front of her, she hesitantly took a stranger's hand whom had a strange smile on his face.

Albeit frightened by this unfamiliar man, she reached out her hand to accept his help. However, he did not help her stand up.

He held her hand firmly and bowed down by her ear just to whisper the words:

"All has been written."

Her eyes widen and her vision became blurry, a gust of cold wind blew by and brought her back from her stupor but the man is nowhere to find.

For a minute or two she did remember who she was nor how to speak, as if all that was left of her was an empty shell.

Emmanuel came running from the house, she knelt by his daughter and hugged her.

Tears silently rolloed down his cheeks, while Yvon stared blankly with no tears.

The stranger's words kept repeating in her mind. The future have been weaved into place, could one be able to take on destiny itself?
